Leo Blair and MMR jab
Is Blair to be trusted?
The Daily Express, 8 November 2005, reports on claims Tony Blair's son Leo was taken abroad for single vaccinations instead of the triple MMR jab.
"Dr laurence Gerlis, a friend of the Prime Minister, told two mothers the youngster had travelled to France for separate injections amid concern over the safety of the triple jab..."

In a 1992 CNN interview with Larry King on "Reagan, the Pope, Solidarity and the Fall of Communism," Time Magazine's Carl Bernstein made a stunning assertion: the Vatican had offered to help buttress Poland's ailing pro-Western Solidarity Party and prop up Lech Walesa's torpid presidency in exchange for a stiffening of conservative values and the establishment of the Christian Right as a viable political force in the U.S.
Investigations by this writer a year earlier into state-sponsored massacres of Guatemalan and Honduran street children, hinted that a political "fifth column" had indeed taken root in the U.S. and simultaneously sprouted in Central America where U.S. strategic interests continue to be guarded by U.S.-installed puppet regimes.
Credible sources that spoke on condition of anonymity added convincing evidence to rumors that politicians, intelligence agencies, religious leaders, charitable organizations and multinational corporations were engaged in a hemispheric cabal aimed at harmonizing global evangelical interests with U.S. foreign policy objectives.
STRANGE BEDFELLOWS
The authors of this stratagem -- now overt and in full bloom in America -- include an oddball assortment of powerful confederates.
Chief among them is Robert Macauley, founder of AmeriCares, the New Canaan, Connecticut-based relief agency (and childhood buddy of George Bush, Sr.);
the Knights of Malta (the Vatican's mouthpiece, a patron of the CIA and a regular conduit into Latin America);
Pat Buchanan;
and W. R. Grace CEO, J. Peter Grace, a man associated with CIA-engineered coups and the scuttling of American labor unions. Grace, who referred to former New York governor, Mario Cuomo, as a "homo," and former New York City Mayor David Dinkins as a "pinkins," also had a fondness for war criminals. In 1958, in defiance of U.S. law, he helped Dr. Otto Ambros, the developer of Zyklon-B gas used in extermination camps, immigrate to the U.S. Convicted at the Nuremberg trials of mass murder and supplying slave labor, Ambos was hired by Grace as a "consultant."
UNHOLY DALLIANCE
What do Macauley, Grace, Buchanan and the Knights of Malta have in common?
All have close ties to the CIA.
All profess a strong penchant for conservative religious causes.
AmeriCares, whose declared mission is to offer worldwide relief "regardless of race, religion of political persuasion," has funded and taken part in U.S.-engineered armed conflicts and routinely flew its armada into ideological battlefields directly linked to U.S. strategic interests.
It steadfastly withheld disaster relief to nations it deemed not sufficiently pro-American.
The Knights of Malta is a 900-year-old fellowship modeled after an ancient order of soldier-monks who merrily slaughtered thousands of "infidels." The KoM is dedicated to "inculcating lessons in chivalry and courage, and inspire a militant spirit in opposition to all non-Christian ideologies and powers."
The American branch of the KoM counts among its members former CIA directors William Casey and John McCone.
McCone is remembered as the architect of the bloody 1973 military coup in Chile.
Others include former CIA chief of counterintelligence, James Jesus Angleton; William and James Buckley; Alexander Haig; former treasury secretary William Simon (and his son, Bill Simon) and rabid critic of John Kerry, former Senator, Admiral Jeremiah Denton, who sponsored a bill allowing U.S. Air Force transports to ship goods for AmeriCares, a privilege accorded no other relief organization.
SOMBER EPIPHANY
Twelve years after the CNN interview, the religious right, once regarded as a pesky but harmless aberration, has since consecrated the marriage between politics and religion.
The offspring of this aberrant union -- resentment and distrust for the religious right's regressive and unyielding agenda -- will have sad historical consequences on a nation that has always taken pride in the tolerance, enlightenment and magnanimity of its people.
Stridently opposed to reproductive rights and stem cell research, misogynous, homophobic, jingoistic and eager to crush free thought and secularism, the religious right, aided and abetted by America's clandestine services, is dangerously out of touch with the aspirations of this nation's pluralistic majority. H.L. Mencken defined faith as the illogical belief in the occurrence of the improbable. The religious right has taken faith to another level. It is now exploiting it as an instrument of national partition and discord.

Arrest of alleged terrorists in Australia
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=10000080&sid=aqVo9DxG8IOw&refer=asia
On 8 November 2005, Australian police arrested 17 people in Sydney and Melbourne for allegedly stockpiling explosive chemicals for use in a terrorist attack.
Reportedly, a force of 400 police and intelligence officers used helicopters with searchlights in raids on 22 properties in Sydney and Melbourne after a 16-month investigation.
The government in October 2005 passed tougher laws to combat terrorists through parliament .
Australia has soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Abdul Rakib Hasan, 36, Khaled Sharrouf, 24, Khaled Cheikho, 32, Moustafa Cheikho, 28, Mirsad Mulahalilovic, 29, Mazen Touma, 25 and Mohamed Ali Elomar, 40, were charged in Sydney's Central Local Court with preparing or planning a terrorist attack, court spokesman Angus Hunstdale said.
They did not appear in court and did not apply for bail, Hunstdale said. They are due to reappear via video link in the Sydney court on Nov. 11.
Another suspect was shot during the raids at Green Valley, a suburb southwest of Sydney, Australian Justice Minister Chris Ellison said. The man underwent surgery in a Sydney hospital and is in a critical condition, Ellison said. The man, who hasn't been charged, is under police guard, Liverpool Hospital said.
The nine people arrested in Melbourne include Muslim cleric Abu Bakr, prosecutor Richard Maidment told the Melbourne Magistrate's Court, according to the Herald Sun newspaper's Web site.
Bakr has publicly stated his support for al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. (Al CIAda was once linked to the late Osama)
All the detainees face charges including conspiracy to commit a terrorist act, being a member of a terrorist group and directing a terrorist organization, which carries a 25-year jail term, Moroney said.
The chemicals found were similar to those discovered in explosives used in attacks in London on July 7, Moroney said.
``The linkages appear to be common in terms of the chemicals that have been used in London and the chemicals we will allege were being gathered here,'' he said.
Australians were among the 202 people who died in bomb explosions in Bali in October 2002, which was Indonesia's worst terrorist attack. In 2005, Australians were also among 20 people killed in Bali.
Nine people were killed in a bomb attack outside Australia's embassy in Indonesia's capital, Jakarta, in September 2004.
Indonesia has blamed Jemaah Islamiyah, a Southeast Asian terrorist group linked to the al-Qaeda network, for bombings in the country.

Double Agents - Militants Beware
In 1605 the UK government claimed to have uncovered a plot to blow up parliament.
Some historians do not believe the government version of the Gunpowder Plot.
Some historians have argued that the conspiracy was really devised by King James's spy-master, Robert Cecil.
It is argued that Cecil wanted to have an excuse to clamp down on Catholics and take more land and money from them.
Many people, when told about the Gunpowder Plot, agreed to Cecil's plans to pass a series of laws persecuting Catholics. Some historians suggest that Cecil blackmailed Robert Catesby into organising the plot.
Back in 1605, rumours circulated that Francis Tresham, a probable double agent who knew too much, had been poisoned while being held captive in the Tower of London.
There is one theory that Tresham was allowed to escape to Spain where he travelled under the name of Matthew Brunninge.

The Gunpowder Plot of 1605:The official story of the gunpowder plot does not make sense.
The 'confessions' were obtained under torture.
Why would the Catholic plotters have wanted to blow up parliament when it housed not only Protestants but also all the country's leading Catholics?
Elizabeth, James' Protestant daughter, was was due to take over, if the plotters succeeded.
Why would the Catholic plotters want Elizabeth on the throne?
The government had a monopoly on gunpowder and it was stored in places like the Tower of London.
How did the conspirators get hold of 36 barrels of gunpowder without drawing attention to themselves?
How was the gunpowder moved across London from the Tower of London to Westminster (at least two miles distant) without anyone seeing it?
The River Thames would not have been used as it could have lead to the gunpowder becoming damp and useless.
Thirty six barrels would have been a sizeable quantity to move without causing suspicion.
Why were men who were known to be Catholics allowed to rent out a house so near to the Houses of Parliament?
How did they move 36 barrels from that house to the cellar of the Houses of Parliament without anyone noticing?
Why, for the first time in history, was there a search of Parliament's cellars that conveniently found Guy Fawkes?
Why was the soldier who killed the plotters Catesby and Percy at Holbeech House in the Midlands, given such a large pension for life (10p a day for life) when their arrest and torture was more desirable so that the names of any other conspirators might be found out?

The plotters were all known to the authorities.
Winter and Percy were actually paid by the government as double-agents!
They didn't notice anything suspicious when the date of opening parliament was changed to the 4th November 'The King's Day'. It was normally the end of October.
They could have escaped while Fawkes was being questioned but they all went to hide in the house of Robert Catesby!

The Monteagle letter
A member of the House of Lords, Lord Monteagle, a closet Catholic, received a letter warning him not to attend parliament.
Monteagle was married to Robert Catesby's first cousin Elizabeth Tresham.
On 26 October, he was handed an anonymous letter that had been delivered to one of his servants by a mysterious stranger.
It urged Monteagle to 'Retire yourself into the country for ... they shall receive a terrible blow this Parliament and yet they shall not see who hurts them.'
By his own account, Monteagle immediately took the letter to James I's spymaster, Robert Cecil, earl of Salisbury.
On Friday, 1 November, Cecil showed it to his royal master, who had been away on a hunting trip.
The following day, the decision was taken to search the Houses of Parliament 'above and below' – but two more days passed before this was done.
After the discovery of the plot, Monteagle received land and a pension worth £500 a year.
Who wrote the Monteagle letter?
The balance of opinion is that it was a concocted document, but we will never know exactly by whom.
It was truly a 'dark and doubtful' communication, possibly fabricated by Monteagle himself with the connivance of Cecil.
Certainly Cecil's leisurely approach to interpreting its meaning and showing it to the king suggest his complicity.
~~
From newadvent.org:http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/07081b.htm
If, as Father Gerard thinks (and he is not at all alone in his opinion), the government knew of the plot for some time before Monteagle's letter and yet allowed it to proceed, from that time it was no longer a conspiracy against the crown, but a conspiracy of the crown against political adversaries, whom they were luring on, by some agent provocateur, to their doom.
In the case of the Babington Plot, indeed, we have direct proof that this was done in the letters of the provocateurs themselves.

Neo-con/fascist provocateurs behind French riots?
The following is taken from http://www.waynemadsenreport.com/
November 6, 2005
Neo-con/fascist provocateurs behind French riots?
As is the case with other European countries where fascist and Islamist fundamentalist forces have joined forces, there is increasing evidence that the riots that have swept France for a week and a half have been far more than spontaneous reactions to the electrocution at a Paris electrical sub-station of two Muslim teens who were escaping police.
With an ailing President Jacques Chirac stepping down in 2007, the battle lines have been drawn between two conservative presidential candidates - Interior Minister Nicolas Sarzoky (nicknamed "Sarko"), a confirmed neo-con in the tradition of fellow travelers in Italy, Britain, Denmark, the Netherlands, Israel, and Spain, and Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin.
Sarkozy has inflamed Muslims and other minorities in France by describing ghetto youths in broad pejorative terms such as "riff-raff" and "scum." While Sarkozy has inflamed the situation with his anti-immigrant rhetoric, de Villepin has sought to mollify the situation by not wanting to overreact and create more turmoil.
However, with rioting spreading beyond Paris to the north and south of the country and extending beyond young Muslims to unemployed African, Afro-Caribbean, and white young people, the situation is being used by Sarkozy to blame "Jihadist conspiracists" for coordinating the rioting.
Sarkozy has strong links to the Likud Party in Israel and the neo-cons in the Bush administration and the Blair government in London.
The neo-con media conglomerates such as Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation and the Hollinger Group are blaming the violence on France's relative tolerance of its large Muslim population.
The neo-con media is also playing up reports that French rioters are proclaiming that they are turning Paris into "Baghdad."
The always reprehensible neo-con racist Mark Steyn, who pens his vile hate-filled garbage for the Chicago Sun Times and other neo-con rags, writes that the rioting youths are not really French but Arabs taking advantage of Jacques Chirac's "weakness" on Iraq.
Funny, but this editor never met too many Arabs from Cayenne, Fort-de-France, Basse-Terre, Abidjan, Antananarivo, Porto Novo, or Brazzaville. Too bad about the neo-cons, geography and history don't seem to be their strong points. Racist talking points, on the other hand, are their stock in trade.
Neo-con game plan? Turning Paris into Baghdad
What is happening in France has all the signs of yet another possible neo-con "false flag" operation in the same category as the Niger fraudulent uranium documents, the provocative actions of Israeli agents in New Jersey who were dressed up as Arabs during the morning of 9-11, unexplained Spanish and British government activities surrounding the train bombings in Madrid and London, and recent deadly bombings in Delhi during Hindu and Muslim holidays attributed to a previously unknown Kashmiri group.
The neo-cons have been unhappy about India's Congress government (a government the neo-cons are trying to link to the UN Oil-for-Food scandal), which unlike the previous Hindu nationalist government, is making peace overtures to neighboring Pakistan.
As with France, India immediately suspected closely coordinated planning in the bombings and sought to analyze intercepts of thousands of cell phone calls placed in the Indian capital shortly before the bombings.
The French politician who benefits the most from this explosion of violence in a country where Muslim citizens constitute a significant minority is Sarkozy.
The losers stand to be de Villepin's faction of the Gaullist RPR party and a newly-resurgent Socialist Party, which rejects the neo-con international agenda.
It is not coincidental that the rioting is mainly plaguing cities and towns governed by Socialist and Communist mayors -- leaders who are now caught between addressing the social problems that helped spark the violence and responding to calls for a return to law and order.
The Socialists, Greens, and Communists are charging Sarkozy with inciting greater violence and then failing to respond to it adequately, thus ensuring the rioting would spread beyond mainly Muslim areas in Paris to wealthier Parisian neighborhoods and beyond Paris to Rouen, Lille, Nice, Dijon, Strasbourg, Marseille, Bordeaux, Rennes, Pau, Orleans, and Toulouse.
Later, the closely coordinated rioting spread further to Lyon, Roubaix, Avignon, Saint-Dizier, Drancy, Evreux, Nantes, Dunkirk, Montpellier, Valenciennes, Cannes, and Tourcoing.
As in Italy, Britain, Switzerland, and Germany, there are strong links in France between Islamist fundamentalist provocateurs and neo-Nazis.
For example, French National Front leader Jean-Marie Le Pen is close to Achmed Huber, formerly of Al Taqwa, a Swiss and Italian financial group linked by the United States Treasury Department to Al Qaeda.
Informed sources in Germany and the United States have also linked Huber to the activities of Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega during the Iran-Contra covert operations conducted by the Reagan-Bush administration.
Interestingly, French intelligence and law enforcement are reporting that the riots in France involve international narcotics smugglers.
The possibility that neo-cons and their fascist allies are manipulating the violence in France to their own advantage has the net result of bringing France into the neo-cons' oft-stated goal of a "Clash of Civilizations" between the West and the Muslim world.
The likes of Mark Steyn are already insidiously referring to the Frankish-Muslim 732 Battle of Tours between a Moorish army and the forces of Charles Martel.
Other neo-con propaganda outlets are echoing the words "Vichy" for the French government.
It is all very transparent who is behind instigating the violence now sweeping France.
Reasonable political leaders in France should realize that the riots in France are being used to ratchet up tensions in Europe and distract attention away from recent reports of US secret prison camps and torture centers in Eastern Europe and additional proof that the neo-cons conspired to push the United States into a disastrous war in Iraq.
Already, the neo-con media is blaming the violence in France on Islamic terrorists -- a stock phrase for the neo-cons in Washington, London, Jerusalem, Rome, and the French Interior Ministry allies of Sarkozy.
However, most of the rioters, mostly from North Africa and Western Africa, are not even practicing Muslims, making the possibility of "Fifth Column" provocateurs being behind the violence all the more likely.
French officials are increasingly suggesting that the violence has been closely coordinated and that the primary targets -- trains, police stations, youth centers, banks, libraries, post offices, municipal buildings, schools -- have all been connected to the French government and not to ethnic or religious groups.
Muslim rioting has also spread to Arhus, Denmark and police in predominantly Muslim neighborhoods in Brussels are on full alert.
The Danish rioting conveniently broke out as a parliamentary inquiry is due to get underway on the lying by the neo-con influenced government of Anders Fogh Rasmussen on bogus Iraqi WMD intelligence.
Neo-con media organs in Europe and North America are suspiciously blaming the Muslim violence on Europe's "welfare state."
The National Security Agency and other signals intelligence agencies that monitor French communications are likely in possession of intercepts that would point to interesting outside interference in coordinating and promoting the French violence and the resultant counter-actions by Sarkozy.
It would be interesting to read the transcripts of Sarkozy's recent telephone conversations with his co-ideologists in Washington, London, Brussels, Jerusalem, and Rome.
A few years ago, a senior inspector with the French DST (FBI) told this editor that his agency's wiretaps of Richard Perle's home in the south of France had yielded some interesting information, all of which was passed to the FBI in Washington.
Perhaps it is time that raw intercepts of international phone calls and e-mail among the neo-cons be leaked in order to hang them using their own past tactics. With their fingerprints beginning to appear on the French rioting, the neo-cons are proving that they will not be put down easily.
Late News -- November 6, 2005 -- Well planned rioting continued for the 11th straight night throughout France. Rioting spread to Dreux, Every, Saint-Etienne, Picardie, Grigny, Draveil, Pierrefitte, and neighborhoods of Paris which had not yet experienced violence.
For the first time, French police were fired upon, with several wounded. There were also coordinated calls on the Internet for youths to join in attacks in cities and towns that had not yet seen rioting. There were also fears that the violence would soon spill across the French borders to Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the mini-states of Andorra and Monaco on the French periphery.
Meanwhile, the global neo-con media could hardly contain their glee over the violence in France.

Bali bomb 'mastermind' al-Farouq allowed to escape?
Reportedly, Kuwaiti citizen Omar Al-Farouq played a part in the Bali bomb plot. http://www.abc.net.au/am/content/2005/s1282108.htm
Al-Farouq was arrested in Bogor on June 5, 2002 and handed over to US authorities.
Former Indonesian State Intelligence Coordinating Board (BAKIN) chief A.C. Manulang was quoted by Tempo as saying that Al-Farouq is a CIA-recruited agent. http://aangirfan.blogspot.com/2005/03/bali-bomb-and-military.html
If Al-Farouk was working for the CIA, then surely he would be allowed to escape.
Washington Post, "Pentagon: Top al-Qaida Operative Escaped", 1 November 2005.http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/11/01/AR2005110101423.html
FORT BLISS, Texas -- A man once considered a top al-Qaida operative escaped from a U.S.-run detention facility in Afghanistan and cannot testify against the soldier who allegedly mistreated him, a defense lawyer involved in a prison abuse case said Tuesday. Omar al-Farouq was one of Osama bin Laden's top lieutenants in Southeast Asia until Indonesian authorities captured him in the summer of 2002 and turned him over to the United States. A Pentagon official in Washington confirmed Tuesday evening that al-Farouq escaped from a U.S. detention facility in Bagram, Afghanistan, on July 10. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the information. An Army lawyer for Sgt. Alan J. Driver, a reservist accused of abusing Bagram detainees, asked Tuesday where al-Farouq was and what the Army had done to find him in time for Driver's court proceedings. Capt. John B. Parker, a prosecutor, said al-Farouq and three others escaped from the Bagram detention center and have not been found.

BBC links to MI6?
Is John Simpson naive or unlucky or is he working for MI6?
~
http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn1584
Nicola Jones, writing in New Scientist, 19 November 2001, pointed out that 'Taliban nuclear documents' found by BBC reporter John Simpson were identical to a spoof article.
In 2001, John Simpson claimed he had found documents strewn on the floor of a Taliban recruitment centre in Kabul. He claimed these documents apparently described how to build a thermonuclear device.
The documents, according to Simpson showed "how dangerous Bin Laden's Al Qaeda network aspired to be".
According to the New Scientist:
The sentences shown in focus by the camera also come from a famous document called "Weekend Scientist: Let's Make a Thermonuclear Device", which was first published in 1979 as a humour piece by The Journal of Irreproducible Results.
The paper was written in response to US court decisions of the time that restricted popular magazines from detailing how to make a bomb. Since all the information is freely available in public libraries anyway, the author said, he decided to provide a humorous "ten easy steps" proving how easy bomb building can be.
While the gist of these instructions may be accurate, for example giving suggested relative proportions of plutonium and TNT, they are written completely in jest.
The first instruction tells readers to obtain weapons grade plutonium at their "local supplier". It continues: "A nuclear power plant is not recommended, as large quantities of missing plutonium tends to make plant engineers unhappy. We suggest you contact your local terrorist organization."
The US Department of Energy generally refuses to comment on the accuracy of such documents. But they do say that about five kilograms of plutonium is theoretically enough to make a nuclear explosive device, while the recipe in The Journal of Irreproducible Results calls for 110 kilograms of plutonium.
The BBC film only allows a few parts of the documents to be read, but these few phrases are exactly as found in the 1979 paper: "Theory of operation ... the device basically works when ... critical mass then produces a nuclear chain reaction ... Plutonium (PU), atomic number ... and is similar in ...".
"From what I've seen, this is certainly a shortened version of the original article," says Marc Abrahams, former editor of The Journal of Irreproducible Results.
Some of the more obviously absurd parts of the original are missing from the document in Kabul, such as a paragraph starting "in next month's column, we will learn how to clone your neighbor's wife in six easy steps." The Kabul document also has paragraph returns in odd places, as if someone had cut and pasted the text.
Even so, says Abrahams, "if you spend half a second scanning any of this you should be able to tell it's a joke." He adds that if the instructions were made more believable by removing the ridiculous parts, there would be practically nothing left.

"Britain's role in setting up stay-behinds throughout Europe was absolutely fundamental," BBC reported in its Newsnight edition with some delay on 4 April 1991. Newsnight reader John Simpson criticised that MI6 and the British Defence Ministry were withholding all information on the subject while "on the back of revelations that Gladio existed it has emerged that other European countries had their own stay-behind armies - Belgium, France, Holland, Spain, Greece, Turkey. Even in neutral Sweden and Switzerland there has been public debate. And in some cases enquiries have been set up. Yet in Britain, there is nothing. Save the customary comment of the ministry of defence that they don't discuss matters of national security." [42]
Simpson related that ever since the fall of the Berlin Wall the British with fascination and horror had learned of the conspiracies and terror operations of the Stasi, the Securitate and other secret services in Eastern Europe. “Could our side have ever done anything comparable? Surely not,” he noted with a wonderfully British ironical intonation and then turned the spotlight on the Western security services: “Yet now information has started to emerge of the alleged misdeeds of NATO's most secret services. In Italy a parliamentary commission is investigating the activities of a secret army set up by the state to resist a possible Soviet invasion. The inquiry has led to the disclosure of similar secret forces across Europe. But the Italian group, known as Gladio, is under suspicion of being involved in a series of terrorist bombings." [43]

"The deceased and the driver were dragged out of the taxi," said Mr Heslop. "They were made to lie down on the ground and were hit by the soldiers who used their feet, fists, helmets and rifles. The men did little but lie there."
He said a woman who witnessed the assault and tried to intervene was struck in the mouth by one of the soldiers and a dog that came out and barked was shot by a paratrooper.
Mr Abdullah was alleged to have died as a result of a "gratuitous", "unjustified" and "unprovoked" attack.

November 2005: Iraq murder trial charges dropped
The charges against seven UK soldiers accused of murdering an Iraqi civilian have been dismissed by a judge at a court martial in Colchester, Essex.
He ruled there was insufficient evidence against the seven, accused of murdering Nadhem Abdullah.
The 18-year-old was alleged to have died following an attack on Iraqi civilians in al-Ferkah, southern Iraq, in May 2003.
The Parachute Regiment soldiers always denied murder and violent disorder.
The trial has cost taxpayers an estimated £10m.
During the court martial, Martin Heslop QC, prosecuting, told the court Mr Abdullah was an "innocent" teenager who died after an "unjustified", "unprovoked" and "gratuitous" attack on him.
Three weeks after "formal hostilities" had ceased, the paratroopers had been in pursuit of a white pick-up truck when they passed a white Toyota containing Mr Abdullah and Athar Saddam, Mr Heslop said.
They had boxed in the taxi before dragging the deceased and the driver out and attacking them with "feet, fists, helmets and rifles", he alleged.
Judge Blackett directed the panel hearing the court martial to return a not guilty verdict on all seven defendants after criticising the "inadequate" investigation into the case.
He said that "after discarding the evidence that is too inherently weak or vague for any sensible person to rely on it" the panel "could never reach the high standard of proof required to be sure of the guilt of any defendant".
The judge said the prosecution team had presented their case "properly and objectively".
"However, it has become clear to everyone involved as the trial has progressed that the main Iraqi witnesses had colluded to exaggerate and lie about the incident."
...The cleared soldiers are Corporal Scott Evans, 32, and Privates Billy Nerney, 24, Samuel May, 25, Morne Vosloo, 26, Daniel Harding, 25, Roberto Di-Gregorio, 24, and Scott Jackson, 26.

SACK SARKOZY?
Nicolas Sarkozy is Jewish.
He is the Interior Minister in France.
Should he be sacked?
According to UPI, 2 November 2005, "Helping fuel the riots has been the tough and controversial response of French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy.Sarkozy - who sparked outrage earlier this year by vowing to 'clean out' another suburb rocked by ethnic violence - blasted this week's rioters as 'scum.'"
Sarkozy wants to be the next president of France. Would Sarkozy like to be called 'scum'?
According to UPI, 2 November 2005,
http://www.upi.com/InternationalIntelligence/view.php?StoryID=20051102-024507-9036r
Paris has had six nights of clashes between French police and rioters.
French President Jacques Chirac appealed for firmness, but also for dialogue and respect in treating the largely ethnic North African-Muslim communities where the riots have taken place.
"We have to redouble our efforts to assure equal opportunities," Chirac added, touching on what activists say is a key root to the violence in communities where French citizens of immigrant origins remain second-class citizens in their own country.
The clashes began after two teenage boys were accidentally electrocuted last Thursday as they tried to scale a wall in the gritty, Paris suburb of Clichy-Sous-Bois. A public prosecutor said the boys believed police were chasing them. Police deny doing so.
Either way, the incident has sparked nightly riots that have since spread to other Paris-area suburbs.
Helping fuel the riots has been the tough and controversial response of French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy.
Sarkozy - who sparked outrage earlier this year by vowing to "clean out" another suburb rocked by ethnic violence - blasted this week's rioters as "scum." His latest remarks have unleashed a tempest of indignation, with some of the shrillest criticism coming from opposition leftist lawmakers.
"When you are the interior minister and the No. 2 man in the government, you need to master your choice of words," Socialist Party leader Francois Hollande told reporters Wednesday. "Of course one must speak clearly. But one is not obliged to stigmatize a population. One is not obliged...to create conflicts."
Sarkozy's handling of the situation has also sparked criticism within his own UMP party, further highlighting the rivalry between him and Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin. Both men are believed to be eyeing a bid for the 2007 presidential elections.
Azouz Begag, a junior government minister who is close to de Villepin, said he "contested" Sarkozy's methods in handling the rioting.
"It's by fighting against discrimination that these youths are victims that we can restore order, the order of equality," Begag, an ethnic-immigrant himself, told Liberation newspaper in an interview published Tuesday.
Sarkozy has since gone on the defensive, arguing that "scum" is not a vulgar word, and that he is a polite person.
Semantics aside, the political infighting reflects strong divisions about how to handle the country's restive and marginalized ethnic immigrant population.
Sarkozy himself has mixed a tough, law-and-order response with calls for a more even handed approach to France's ethnic immigrant population, which includes an estimated 5 million Muslims living in France.
Among other controversial measures, he has floated proposals to give foreigners the right to vote, championed "positive discrimination" to give minorities greater opportunities on the job and in schools, and called for tweaking a 1905 law separating church and state to allow for state financing of mosque construction.
De Villepin and his mentor, President Chirac, oppose all three proposals.
Others offer more blanket criticism.
"Slogans aren't going to solve the problems of difficult neighborhoods," said Dominique Sopo, head of SOS Racism, a Paris-based anti-discrimination group. "We need to break the ghettos. And not concentrate and sideline these populations in these (suburban housing projects)."
The current clashes have profited one group however: The far-right, anti-immigration National Front party. Appealing to the same populist fears of ethnic violence, the Front's leader Jean-Marie Le Pen placed second in the 2002 elections.
Some experts such as Jacqueline Costa Lascoux speculate the Front's law-and-order platform may go down even better in the next election.
"You'll notice that the extreme right is saying nothing, is doing nothing right now," said Costa-Lascoux, who heads the Observatory on Immigration and Integration, an independent body based in Paris. "They don't have to do anything but wait."
"Not only will we have another extreme candidate in the second round of voting, but I fear he'll get a lot of votes," she added of the 2007 elections.
France is hardly the only European country grappling with new generations of increasingly angry and disenfranchised ethnic immigrants.
Tensions have spilled into the streets in countries such as Britain, home to its own violent clashes in Birmingham last month; and in the Netherlands, where far-right politicians are also earning new support.
In many cases, the tensions have taken a religious dimension, Costa-Lascoux notes: Many of the rioting youths in Clichy-Sous-Bois and elsewhere are Muslims. Most of Europe's angry new generation of ethnic minorities have roots in developing countries.
"It's a sort of North-South clash in the midst of European societies," she said. "They want to wage war against Europe and the West as if they were in Iraq or Algeria. So there is this idea of replaying and independence movement against the colonizing country and social inequalities."
Sopo, too, believes that Europe as a whole has failed its newest citizens.
"And so today," he said, "Europe is paying for its lack of foresight and generosity toward these people."

British security services secretly followed the four alleged bombers a year before the July 7 attacks, the Daily Mirror newspaper reported on 3 November 2005.
The alleged bombers were Germaine Lindsay, Shehzad Tanweer, Hasib Hussain and Mohammed Sidique Khan.
Security services kept watch on them for several weeks.
The BBC said in October that officials secretly filmed Khan during a 2004 surveillance operation.

SO HOW DID THEY ALL SLIP THROUGH THE NET?
By Bob Roberts And Graham Brough
The four men who (allegedly) brought carnage to streets of the capital on July 7 were watched by intelligence officers a year before they killed 52 people on Tube trains and a bus.
But security chiefs called off the operation after it was decided the gang posed no threat. Last week the Mirror revealed how 30-year-old ringleader Mohammed Sidique Khan was filmed with a terror suspect last year and spotted chatting to an al-Qaeda fixer. No action was taken against him. (The Mirror does not suggest that the 'al-Qaeda fixer' may have been working for the security services).
And last night a police source said the other three bombers - Shehzad Tanweer, 22, Jermaine Lindsay, 19, and Hasib Hussain, 18 - were also being tracked...
A fifth man, thought to be an al-Qaeda operative, was being watched...
Shadow homeland security minister Patrick Mercer said: "These men appear not to have been as unknown to the security services as was first thought.
"If this is true, it suggests there are many more questions that need to be asked about our intelligence preparations prior to July 7. We will be demanding that these questions are answered."
And Liberal Democrat home affairs spokesman Mark Oaten said the blunder shows the need for more cash to carry out surveillance operations properly. (The Mirror does not suggest that Mark Oaten might have links to the security services).
The MP said: "This shows the importance of giving our intelligence services more resources and more people on the ground so they have the manpower they need to do their job.
"The Government should learn protecting this country from terrorists is not just about new laws, it is about money as well."
(The Mirror does not suggest that Mr Blair needs a new distraction after the resignation of Mr Blunkett).

Some UK police appear to be 'little better than criminals' according to think tank.

A think tank report states that policing standards in England and Wales are so low that some officers appear to be "little better than criminals".
The think tank, called Politeia, wants better training and tougher entrance requirements.
The report criticises the low standard of education needed for entry into the police and recommends university graduates should be fast-tracked.
BBC Home Affairs Correspondent Danny Shaw said: "The report is highly critical of the requirements for police recruitment, saying that a low standard of education is all that is needed, together with a number of vague skills and aptitudes.
"The result is that the most able find careers elsewhere. According to the study, the police service is left with officers who may appear incompetent and are unable to inspire confidence in those they serve."
One of the suggestions in the study is that senior officers should stand aside for people from other professions to take their place.
The authors of the study include a former President of the Association of Chief Police Officers - Sir Anthony Burden - Chris Woodhead, who was Chief Inspector of Schools, and the former Prisons Inspector, Lord Ramsbotham.
According to the study, one of the problems for the police is Government targets, resulting in more paperwork and fewer patrols.
''The public wants priority given to tackling burglary, mugging, hard drugs, violence, sexual crime and racial attacks,'' the report says.
According to the study, recent surveys show that almost half of people are dissatisfied with ''the way crime is dealt with''.
''The lessons from this study are grim,'' said Sheila Lawlor, the director of Politeia. ''Policing suffers from low-quality recruits, poor leadership and a structure of divided authority.
''Both training and employment lack direction, and even a sense of fundamental purpose, with confusion about what the police are employed to do and how well they do it. As a result, the system is failing.''

'Saddam accepted UAE exile plan to avert Iraq war'

Saddam accepted UAE exile plan to avert Iraq war-TV
Reuters October 29 2005
Comment by www.prisonplanet.com : We reported on this before the war even started and were called conspiracy theorists for doing so. The Neo-Cons would have never allowed it to happen because they wouldn't have had the excuse to bomb the country into oblivion and then hand out no bid rebuilding contracts to their cronies. That is more important to them than 2,000+ American troops and hundreds of thousands of dead innocent Iraqis.
DUBAI (Reuters) - Deposed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein had secretly accepted a last-minute plan to go into exile to avert the 2003 Iraq war, but Arab leaders shot the proposal down, Al Arabiya television reported on Friday.
UAE President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahayan made the proposal for Saddam to go into exile at an emergency Arab summit just weeks before the U.S.-led war began in March 2003.
But the 22-member Arab League, led by Secretary-General Amr Moussa, refused to consider the initiative.
"We had got the final agreement from the different parties, the main players in the world and the person concerned -- Saddam Hussein -- within 24 hours," Mohammed bin Zayed, deputy head of the UAE armed forces and crown prince of Abu Dhabi, told the UAE-based channel in a documentary.
"So we were coming to put facts on the table, and there would have been results had it been discussed," he said.
Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak says in the documentary that the United States had signaled its support for the proposal.
The documentary says the Iraqi delegation at the summit in Egypt had been unaware of Saddam's "secret consent" to the plan, which Iraqi Foreign Minister Naji Sabri dismissed as "silly".
It was not clear why Arab opposition alone scuppered the arrangements, which Al Arabiya said would have seen Saddam go into UAE exile with a promise of protection from legal action.
Saddam and seven other senior figures under his rule this month went on trial in Baghdad for crimes against humanity over the killing of 148 Shi'ite men from the town of Dujail.
The United States led a coalition to topple Saddam, saying he was hiding weapons of mass destruction. None were ever found.
The war, an ongoing insurgency against occupying troops and the U.S.-backed authorities, and an explosion of crime amid the post-war disorder has cost thousands of lives.

Aziz denies saying Galloway personally profited from oil-for-food.
http://news.independent.co.uk/world/middle_east/article323424.ece
In The Independent, 30 October 2005, Stephen Khan reported that Tariq Aziz, the former deputy prime minister of Iraq, has denied telling investigators that George Galloway personally profited from the UN oil-for-food programme for Iraq.
Mr Aziz's lawyer, Badia Aref, described claims regarding the Respect MP for Bethnal Green and Bow as "lies".
Republican Senator Norm Coleman used interviews with Aziz as evidence that Saddam's regime granted 23 million barrels of oil to Mr Galloway and his Mariam Appeal fund. The US Congressional report said Aziz, under questioning by the subcommittee, had discussed oil allocations with Galloway. "These are lies ... He [Aziz] denied this," Mr Aref said. "It is part of a media campaign aimed at smearing Galloway's reputation," said the lawyer.

First, the Indian military was eager to find a supplier for military hardware to replace the by then defunct Soviet pipeline. Second, the Indian government's enthusiastic 1991 entry into IMFundamentalism enabled the heresy of a rapid pro-Americanism, and on its back, a pro-Zionism. 1992 also signaled the emergence of the Hindu Right as a leading contender for national office, and its ideology remains far more compatible with that of the US-Israel than that of the Left and the Center-Left.

According to Rediff, 8 September 2003, Pakistan has links to Mossad.
"After she returned to power towards the end of 1993, Benazir Bhutto intensified the ISI's liaison with Mossad. She too began to cultivate the American Jewish lobby. Benazir is said to have a secret meeting in New York with a senior Israeli emissary, who flew to the US during her visit to Washington, DC in 1995 for talks with Clinton.
"From his days as Bhutto's director general of military operations, Pervez Musharraf has been a keen advocate of Pakistan establishing diplomatic relations with the state of Israel.
"The new defence relationship between India and Israel -- where the Jewish State has become the second-biggest seller of weapons to India, after Russia -- bother Musharraf no end. Like another military dictator before him, the Pakistan president is also wary that the fear of terrorists gaining control over Islamabad's nuclear arsenal could lead to an Israel-led pre-emptive strike against his country.
"Musharraf is the first Pakistani leader to speak publicly about diplomatic relations with Israel. His pragmatic corps commanders share his view that India's defence relationship with Israel need to be countered and are unlikely to oppose such a move. But the generals are wary of the backlash from the streets. Recognising Israel and establishing an Israeli embassy in Islamabad would be unacceptable to the increasingly powerful mullahs who see the United States, Israel and India as enemies of Pakistan and Islam."

'KARL ROVE, MICHAEL LEDEEN SPIES PROCURED FORGED NIGER DOCUMENTS'
http://bellaciao.org/en/article.php3?id_article=7256
An article by Clayton Hallmark, 29 July 2005, at http://bellaciao.org :
Karl Rove’s foreign-policy advisor, Michael Ledeen, proclaimed "the rightness of the fascist cause" in 1972.
In 1984 he got George Bush Sr to appoint Iranian arms merchant and Iranian/Israeli double-agent Manucher Ghorbanifar as a middleman in the scandalous Iran-Contra affair.
Ledeen has been a fixture in Washington and Israel ever since, advocating a modern version of the Crusades against Islamic nations...
EARLY 2000: ROCCO MARTINO AND THE FRENCH CONNECTION
Rocco Martino is a 66-year-old Italian gentleman who worked on and off for the Italian SISMI (analogous to the CIA) for many years and who also peddled the same information to various spy organizations and publications - a convicted felon and international stool pigeon, just the kind of person Ledeen’s associates needed.
After being fired by SISMI (for receiving stolen checks, among other things), he convinced the French intelligence in 2000 that he knew all about Africa and the trafficking of conventional and nonconventional arms. To avoid stepping on the toes of Italian intelligence, the French gave him a contact, or handler, in Brussels. Martino’s handler in Brussels asked him to obtain every type of news or reference to contraband uranium from Niger... where mining was under the jurisdiction of two companies controlled by the gigantic French mining company Cogema.
Martino soon was knocking at the door of the embassy of Niger in Rome, where he met an Italian functionary (a "lady," by most reports - but this was no lady, as we shall see). Martino provided the French with documents showing that Iraq may have been planning to expand trade with Niger. In fact, the first set of documents did not refer to uranium, and the trade plans were probably the typical sort of relationship Arab oil states had with a whole range of third-world countries.
Martino was surprised when he saw that the French immediately jumped to the wrong conclusion and thought that the documents indicated an Iraqi interest in uranium. (We now know that Iraq had no nuclear program.) "We need additional confirmation and more detailed information," said the French secret service. Martino set out to satisfy his French patrons with additional documents.
JANUARY 2001 BREAK-IN AT NIGER EMBASSY
At night, between the first and second of the January 2001, a mysterious thief came to the embassy of Niger in Rome and into the residence of the counselor in charge. It turned out that some letterhead and seals were missing. A second dossier on Niger-Iraq trade soon came into Martino’s hands, one that included references to uranium trafficking. Martino claims he got it from embassy personnel and that he thought it was authentic.
Martino passed it on to the French secret service, who had paid for it, and also to Panorama [a magazine owned by Bush ally and Italian president Silvio Berlusconi], which assessed it by dispatching a female reporter to Niger. Panorama also turned the file over to the US Embassy in Rome for cross-checking in the US.
The female journalist soon told Martino that the trip to Niger had not produced any real confirmation, and also the French confirmed to Martino that the reports he had passed on to them were groundless. In other words, Bush’s war rationale was debunked way back in 2001 by amateur and professional sleuths.
Furthermore, it was a very amateurish forgery, not likely produced through official channels by any state intelligence agency with their vast resources. However, it was soon resuscitated as the Bush administration, in its first year, ramped up its public relations campaign for war.
ROME MEETING IN DECEMBER 2001
Michael Ledeen organized a meeting in Rome to gather evidence to support the planned war.
Present were:
1. Michael Ledeen, Karl Rove’s foreign policy advisor and organizer of the meeting
2. Nicolo Pollari, head of the the Italian equivalent of the CIA, the SISMI
3. Italy’s Minister of Defense, Antonio Martino (no relation apparently to the spy Rocco Martino), Pollari’s boss
4. Larry Franklin, an American who presently is being prosecuted in the US for giving classified information to an Israeli front group, AIPC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) -- which some would call "spying," even though he has not been charged with espionage
5. Harold Rhode: member of Dick Cheney’s Office of Special Plans, protege of Ledeen, go-between with Iraqi exile and CIA asset (at the time) Ahmed Chalabi.
Ledeen already had a longstanding friendship with Francesco Pazienza, an Italian felon and forger who had been kicked out of the official Italian intelligence organization SISMI but who had found a new home in the renegade intelligence agency P-2 (Propaganda Due). Pazienza apparently was not present but definitely was known to Italian intelligence agents, including Rocco Martino, as well as to Ledeen.
Ledeen also was a personal friend of Pollari, who, like Ledeen, is a master of the card game bridge (Ledeen writes columns on it). There are close ties between Pollari’s official intelligence organization, SISMI, and Pazienza’s unnofficial one, P-2.
In fact, P-2 recruits from SISMI.
This little group dusted off Martino’s discredited second dossier on Iraq-Niger trade, with the uranium references. The Bush administration now had its causus belli.
SPRING 2002: JOE WILSON TO NIGER
Former US Ambassador (to Gabon) Joseph Wilson made the trip, apparently at the behest of the CIA, to determine the authenticity of the charges in Martino’s documents, even though the CIA already could see they were forgeries.
Even the Panorama reporter could have saved him the trouble.
Wilson reported back to the CIA that there was no proof that Iraq had sought uranium in Niger.
The US government knew there was no proof.
FALL 2002: USING THE CRAP
In London, Tony Blair spoke on September 24, 2002, for the first time on the attempts of Saddam Hussein to obtain uranium from Africa.
Bush soon began to drive in the nail using the same argument.
Remember, Martino had delivered the phony dossier this was based on to the US embassy in Rome over a year before. The US State Department and CIA rejected it and even Panorama had debunked it.
The Pentagon, too, knew it was false, of course, but the Wolfowitz-Feith-Perle Defense Policy Board axis plus Bush and Cheney and their respective aides, Karl Rove and I. Lewis Libby (both now subjects of interest to US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald and his grand jury in Washington, DC), went with it anyway.
THE REST IS HISTORY:
"The British Government has learned that Saddam Hussein... ...recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa."
Sixteen little words in Bush’s January 2003 State of the Union message that will be remembered in history with more honorable presidential words like, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself" (FDR).
Bush was going on the forged documents procured by Rocco Martino, debunked by all pertinent experts, and debunked by Joseph Wilson.
The US overcame Iraqi opposition -- temporarily (resistance became "suicide," now wonders, for whom?) -- mainly by bombing civilian structures rather than fighting, beginning on March 19, 2003
Wilson’s outraged response to using, for murder, evidence he had debunked got his family, or at least his wife, targeted by that amoral husk of a man, Karl Rove, who, along with I. Lewis (Scooter) Libby (Cheney’s chief aide) outed Valerie Wilson to Robert Novak, Judith Miller (the jailed New York Times reporter and pro-war hawk), Matthew Cooper (Time’s reporter who has jeopardized Rove in a criminal investigation), and numerous other journalists. Most, like Miller and Cooper, wisely resisted Rove’s bait.
IMP OF IMPS: MICHAEL LEDEEN’S DAUGHTER SMILES IMPISHLY IN IRAQ
The war is not just about oil, Israel’s fears/ambitions, or US hegemony.
There are contracts and contractors in Iraq.
Modern-day carpetbaggers with briefcases descended like a plague of scorpions on the poor, bloodied, bombed-out, grieving people of Iraq.
They included the daughter of the war’s chief banshee -- Simone Ledeen, Michael’s young daughter.
LEDEEN FELLOW-TRAVELER FRANKLIN FACES A COURT TRIAL
At Ledeen’s (Rove’s brain) meeting with Italian intelligence in December 2001 was one Larry Franklin.
The FBI caught Franklin, 58 -- a Pentagon analyst on Iran and an Air Force Reserve colonel -- meeting two agents of AIPAC, Israel’s US "lobby," in an Alexandria, VA, restaurant in June 2003.
AIPAC employees -- including AIPAC agents at the meeting, Steven Rosen and Keith Weissman -- had been under FBI surveillance for a couple of years.
The FBI was surprised by Franklin showing up and began investigating him, too. The FBI arrested Franklin, on May 4, 2005, for illegally disclosing highly classified information to AIPAC -- spying for AIPAC, in other words. He is free on bond and is expected to plead innocent at his trial.
Why hasn’t the FBI arrested anyone at the AIPAC? Who in the Bush administration is blocking justice in this case?
For that matter, why hasn’t the FBI interviewed Rocco Martino, the acknowledged and admitted procurer of the phony Niger uranium documents? They are known to be investigating the phony documents.
The United States has had no qualms about getting audacious in Italy by having the CIA abduct an Egyptian cleric, Abu Omar, off the streets of Milan in February 2003, for "exceptional rendering," aka "torture," in Egypt. This open violation of Italian sovereignty was supervised by the CIA’s station chief in Milan, Robert Seldon Lady, formerly of the New Orleans area.
Lady Is No "lady": ROBERT SELDON LADY
It is my belief that the "Italian functionary," or "a lady," that Martino referred to was actually a Lady, Robert Seldon Lady Sr, the same man who headed up the torture abduction of Abu Omar.
Italian prosecutor Armando Spataro has just obtained arrrest warrants for 6 more CIA spies in addition to the original 13 that included Robert Lady, in connection with the abduction.
Robert Seldon Lady, 51, lived in Abita Springs, Lousiana, until 2001, when he left for the Milan post.
He still has an address in New Orleans, according to Cryptome http://cryptome.org/lady-eyeball.htm .
He and his wife Martha own a villa in the Italian countryside near Penango (Asti) and Turin, where they hoped to retire before he went on the lam.
Born in Honduras, he was an affable New York City cop in the 80s who infiltrated leftist groups.
He is something of an electronics hacker (at least of cell phones). And now he is a wanted felon in Europe.
During the operation, Lady apparently worked directly with the commander of the 31st Security Police Squadron, Lt. Col. Joseph Romano, USAF, at the Aviano Air Base in Italy.
Lt. Col. Romano, who currently works at the Pentagon, also is sought for interviewing by Italian prosecutors.
At the time, Romano worked under Brig Gen R. Michael Worden, commander of the 31st Fighter Wing, who also should have to answer some questions.
The Italian prosecutor could release the photographs of the American kidnap-torture perps at any time.
This case -- Robert Lady’s kidnapping of Abu Omar -- could become a very big story because of its possible effects on relations between nations.

David Cameron and former CIA director James Wolsey
'the list of Henry Jackson patrons 'reads like a Who's Who of US foreign-policy hawks: including the former CIA director James Wolsey.'
In The Guardian, 24 October 2005, Nil Clark reminds us that David Cameron has neocon associations. The Guardian
http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,3604,1598988,00.html
Clark points out:
1. David Cameron favours flat-rate tax, 'a far-right wheeze that would leave, according to a Treasury report, up to 30 million Britons worse off and the super-rich even richer'.
2. Cameron talks of "fighting to end the EU's damaging social role".
3. Cameron 'is an unreconstructed hawk, his campaign masterminded by the neoconservative trio of Tory MPs Osborne, Michael Gove and Ed Vaizey, all enthusiastic cheerleaders for Pax Americana. Osborne hailed the "excellent neoconservative case" for action against Iraq in 2003 and denies that the invasion has radicalised Muslim opinion.'
Gove and Vaizey are signatories to the statement of principles of the Henry Jackson Society, which has its UK launch next month.
The society is named after the US Democratic senator who opposed detente with the Soviet Union.
The society calls for the "maintenance of a strong military with a global expeditionary reach".
Clark reports that 'the list of Henry Jackson patrons 'reads like a Who's Who of US foreign-policy hawks: including the former CIA director James Wolsey, William Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard, and Richard Perle, former chairman of the Defence Policy Board and the man many see as the architect of the Iraq war'.
Cameron voted for the Iraq war.
According to Clark:
'Like all good neocons Cameron blamed the conflict on the French and their promise to veto any second UN security council resolution.'
"The central job of a new Tory leader is to put the Conservative argument in a different way ... " - these are the views of the Tories' modernising guru Daniel Finkelstein.
For him, 'the fact that Cameron looks moderate is all that matters'.
Clark writes: 'But those not enamoured by the prospect of a regressive tax system, a revival of 1980s economics, a hostile attitude to Europe or British participation in military invasions of Iran, Syria or any other country the US decides to attack in five or six years' time are well advised to read the small print'.

BBC and press support for Neocon David Cameron?
~
David Cameron is suspected of being the favourite of the oligarchs and the Neocons. (David Cameron and the Neo-Cons )
Thus the people who write the BBC news are said to be supporting Cameron.
The Telegraph, 24 October 2005, reported on alleged BBC and press support for Cameron:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2005/10/24/ntory24.xml&sSheet=/news/2005/10/24/ixhome.html
According to the Telegraph, The David Davis camp has accused the BBC and newspapers of clear bias against Davis.
Derek Conway is the Davis camp's "chief whip".
Mr Conway claims that Mr Davis had fallen victim to a "servile" media, particularly the BBC, which seemed to believe that because Mr Cameron was an old Etonian, he was "born to rule".

On 24 October 2005 The Guardian reported that Derek Conway condemned the BBC for "taking leave of its senses in its support" for Mr Cameron, and said the written press was being "servile" towards him.
Mr Conway attacked the BBC's "support" for Mr Cameron. "I think the BBC have decided who they want to lead the Tory party." he said.
Mr Conway accused "the office of Michael Howard" of appalling behaviour and dirty tricks against Mr Davis.
Liam Fox, ousted by MPs from the contest on Thursday, was quoted in the Mail on Sunday accusing Mr Davis of spreading smears about his alleged gay past.

Hariri: prime witness in the UN report is a convicted criminal
From WRH:
Pivotal Witness in Mehlis Report is a Convicted Swindler
Posted Oct 22, 2005 at http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/
The prime witness in the UN report on Syria is a convicted criminal. Note that the "lead" to the accusations is Assad's Uncle, who will take over when Assad leaves.
Translation of Spiegel article:
http://www.spiegel.de/politik/ausland/0,1518,381056,00.html
The creditibility of one of the key witnesses in special investigator Detlev Mehlis’ report on the Hariri murder case is in doubt. Suheir Sadik is a multiply convicted swindler.
Hamburg – The alleged intelligence agent al-Sadik, 42, on whose testimony a considerable portion of the investigation is based, has been convicted of , embezzlement and fraud, among other crimes. Even within the UN Commission investigating the murder of Lebanon’s former Prime Minster Rafik al-Hariri, which presented its report on Thursday, there is doubt of the credibility of the Syrian witness.
Sources within UN circles say that Sadik had undeniably lied. At first he had claimed to have left Beirut in the month prior to the deed. Then, at the end of September he admitted to having been involved in the implementation of the assassination. Apparently Sadik had received money from a third party for his testimony. According to a statement by his brother, Sadik had called him from Paris in late summer and said “I’ve become a millionaire!”
The skepticism is also nurtured by the fact that the contact to Mhelis was inititated through the Syrian dissident Rifaat al-Assad,, an uncle of President Bashir al-Assad, who opposes the regime in Damascus. Sadik is supposed to have made his apartment in the Beirut suburb Chalda available for several preparatory meetings in which Syrian intelligence officers participated. Sadik himself claims to have collected information for Syrian Intelligence in Lebanon’s Palestinian refugee camps.
The Syrian administration had already made a dossier with incriminating evidence about Sadik available to Western governments weeks ago, which was to show that Mehlis had been had by a notorious Syrian swindler.

Mossad behind Hariri assassination
TEHRAN, Feb. 15 (MNA) -- Former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Hariri was killed in a massive bomb blast in central Beirut on Monday.
The explosion destroyed a number of public buildings and vehicles, showing that the complicated terrorist act was carried out by a well equipped organization.
The situation in Lebanon and the region is now so critical that any discord could cause a new crisis for this small but strategic country.
Lebanon, which has been the cradle of peaceful coexistence among different religious and ethnic groups, experienced a 15-year civil war due to a series of domestic, regional, and international factors in the 1970s and 1980s.
The war left thousands of Muslim and Christian civilians dead, causing Lebanon huge financial losses.
In 1990, the various groups finally put aside their differences and calm and national unity ruled the country again.
Then, following the Zionist army’s defeat in south Lebanon in 2000, Lebanon was once more put into the worldwide spotlight.
Lebanon eventually regained its regional economic position thanks to reconstruction and economic restoration, partly due to the efforts of the late Hariri.
However, regional and trans-regional powers such as the United States and the Zionist regime are trying to steer Lebanon toward a crisis, aiming to extend their military and political presence in some parts of the Middle East and the Mediterranean.
The United States’ strong support of UN Resolution 1559, which requires Syria to withdraw its forces from Lebanese soil, is part of Washington’s plan to politically influence Lebanon and the region once again.
Israel and the U.S. seek to sever the spiritual and physical contacts between Syria and Lebanon in order to isolate Syria in the Middle East and check its political sway in the region.
Neither the Lebanese government nor the majority of its citizens want Syrian troops to quit their country.
However, if Syrian forces withdraw from Lebanese territory, it would surely pave the way for the political and military machinations of the United States and Israel.
The Lebanese and Syrian nations, due to their historical, ideological, and ethnic affinities, are in fact one nation in two separate lands. The regional and trans-regional powers must understand this and must realize that the two nations cannot be separated spiritually.
Now, the question is: Who benefited from the assassination of Hariri, a man who played a constructive role in the reestablishment of security in Lebanon?
All the evidence indicates that the Israeli intelligence service Mossad killed Hariri, since it had previously plotted to assassinate important Lebanese politicians.
The Mossad is trying to help the Zionist army claw its way back into Lebanon, since history has shown that the stability of Lebanon is not to the advantage of Israel.
Lebanon now faces a more complicated situation and should stay alert in order to thwart the Zionist regime’s plots to dominate the country once again.

David Cameron and the Neo-Cons
~
The next leader of the Labour Party may be David Miliband, who is Jewish.
What about the Conservative Party? David Cameron may become its leader.

Gaby Hinsliff and Ned Temko, in The Observer , 23 October 2005, listed the members of David Cameron's inner circle:
1. George Eustice started his political career with the UK Independence Party (which is reportedly pro-Israel and pro-Pentagon.)
2. Oliver Letwin has links to the Rothschilds.
3. Michael Gove is an admirer of the American neo-cons.
4. George Osborne is a fellow Oxford party animal.
5. Steve Hilton is in advertising.
6. Daniel Finkelstein is a Times journalist.
7. Matthew d'Ancona writes for The Telegraph.
According to the Observer article:
The brains of the operation is Michael Gove.

An article on Michael Gove at en.wikipedia:
He takes a pro-Israel line and has criticised anti-Americanism, anti-Semitism and several United Nations peace processes.
A self-confessed neo-conservative, he called for early intervention against Saddam Hussein.
Surprisingly, he stated in October 2004 of Tony Blair: "I can't hold it back any more; I love Tony!"
He is also a signatory of the Henry Jackson Society.
Gove is seen as part of an influential set of young up-and-coming Tories, sometimes disparagingly referred to as the Notting Hill set, including David Cameron, George Osborne, Edward Vaizey, Nicholas Boles and Rachel Whetstone. They are seen as modernisers, but also close to Michael Howard.
