In a new book, Juval Aviv is to blame the American secret service, and Iran, for the Lockerbie Bomb - PanAm 103.

Juval Aviv is a former major in the Israeli Defence Force, and thus may want (1) to hide any deep Mossad involvement and (2) promote the probably false idea that Iran was somehow to blame.

According to Scotland on Sunday, 23 December 2007 :

"Aviv, who acted as lead investigator for Pan Am during the Lockerbie inquiry, admits that his book is a thinly veiled account of what he is convinced really happened in December 1988...

Iran's new friendship with Saudi Arabia, the Gulf states and Egypt

There seems to be growing friendship between Shia Iran and its Sunni-dominated neighbours.

Traditionally, the Gulf states are seen as being on the side of the USA.

Martin Walker reminds us that "There are... long-standing border disputes over islands (and this means over oil and gas rights) in the Gulf. 1. The dollar is falling and this worries the Arabs.

2. The USA has created havoc in Iraq and this worries the Arabs.

3. Palestine continues to suffer.

During 2007, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf states and Egypt seem to have decided to become much more friendly with Iran.

Some people believe that elements of the US government approve of closer ties between the Arabs and Iran.

According to Emad Gad, an expert on regional politics at the Al Ahram Center, a government-linked think tank in Cairo: "Qatar could not have invited Ahmedinejad to the GCC without an understanding with the Americans. I don't think Egypt would be sending a diplomat without some sort of green light either. This is possible.

But, it is also possible that, secretly, many Arab leaders have given up on the Americans.

The Economist, 22 December 2007, tells us about terror attacks on Christians in Turkey (The cross and the crescent):

In January 2007, Hrant Dink, an ethnic Armenian newspaper editor, was shot dead in Istanbul.

In April 2007, two Turks and a German, all Christian evangelists, were murdered in Malatya.

Husnu Ondul is president of the Turkish Human Rights Association.

Like many others, Ondul believes that the 'deep state', is behind the attacks.

The 'deep state' is made up of a few judges, army officers and security officials.

They need enemies to justify their grip on power.

Evidence leaked to the media in the Dink and Malatya cases points to collusion between the murderers and elements of the police and army.

The ruling Justice and Development (AK) party has treated Christians better than its secular predecessors did.

LOCKERBIE DEAL

The Libyan al-Megrahi was accused of carrying out the 1988 Lockerbie Bombing (PanAm 103).

His appeal will be heard in a Scottish court in 2008.

At the end of the appeal, Megrahi is almost certain to be declared innocent, and there will be a lot of evidence suggesting corruption by top people.

The London government would prefer that Megrahi is returned to Libya before any appeal can hear damaging evidence of corruption.

The Scottish government would prefer to see justice done.

According to The Scotsman, 20 December 2007, (Libya deal on eve of Lockerbie anniversary):

The London government has agreed a deal with Libya whereby Megrahi may be returned to Libya.

Reportedly a letter was sent by Jack Straw, the UK Justice Secretary, to Libya on 19 December 2007, outlining the agreement.

Contrary to previous promises by the London government, the deal will include Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, the Libyan convicted of the Lockerbie bombing.

Scottish government ministers are supposed to have a veto over whether Megrahi can go back to Libya.

Alex Salmond, the Scottish First Minister, 'last night disputed the claim that ministers would have the final say.'

Government sources in London reportedly said: "Jack Straw will be signing the prisoner transfer agreement with Libya tonight. Megrahi will not be listed in the treaty as somebody who is specifically excluded. The Libyans would not agree to that. But as Kenny MacAskill (Scottish Justice Minister) discussed with Jack, there is a safeguard in that Scottish ministers will have to decide in each transfer case from a Scottish prison. If an application was made to transfer Megrahi, Scottish ministers could say no."

In the summer of 2007, Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond accused Tony Blair of stitching up a deal during a visit to Libya with Gaddafi.

Alex Salmond accused Blair of going back on a pledge to get Megrahi excluded from any transfer agreement.

Alex Salmond said on 19 December 2007,"The timing of this agreement is both insensitive and inappropriate. The case of Mr Megrahi is now before the Appeal Court, and we are approaching the 19th anniversary of the atrocity. The Scottish Government is deeply disappointed that the Lord Chancellor has failed to secure the exclusion of anyone connected to the Lockerbie bombing from the Prisoner Transfer Agreement. This does underline that the previous Prime Minister's administration was less than candid when they claimed the transfer agreement actually excluded Mr Megrahi."

The Manson paintings are based on the 1947 death of would-be Hollywood actress Elizabeth Short.

Luke Mitchell had bought the Marilyn Manson DVD The Golden Age of Grotesque two days after Jodi's death.

The DVD has scenes showing two girls tied together near a track and struggling as hoods are placed over their heads.

Luke Mitchell's school jotter was covered in Satanic slogans.

In an essay, Luke Mitchell wrote: "Just because I am more violent than others and cut myself, does that justify some pompous git of a teacher to refer me to a psychiatrist?"

Luke Mitchell's mother Corinne Mitchell denied burning Luke's clothes in the garden incinerator on the day of the murder. Neighbours reported the incinerator had been on, giving off an unusual smell. (Evidence that convicted Mitchell )

The murder knife was never found. Five months after Jodi was murdered, Corinne Mitchell bought Luke Mitchell a knife similar to one he had lost.

After Giladi had moved from Iraq to Israel he came to believe that the anti Semitism and bombings in Iraq were the work of Jewish Zionists who wanted to persuade Iraqi Jews to move to Israel.

Giladi wrote an article entitled The Jews of Iraq which was the basis of a book called Ben Gurion's Scandals: How the Haganah and the Mossad Eliminated Jews.

Giladi states: "I write this article for the same reason I wrote my book: to tell the American people, and especially American Jews, that Jews from Islamic lands did not emigrate willingly to Israel; that, to force them to leave, Jews killed Jews; and that, to buy time to confiscate ever more Arab lands, Jews on numerous occasions rejected genuine peace initiatives from their Arab neighbors. I write about what the first prime minister of Israel called 'cruel Zionism'. I write about it because I was part of it."

Giladi's view that the bombings were the work of Jews is shared by a number of people including David Hirst (1977), Wilbur Crane Eveland (1980), Uri Avnery (1988), Ella Shohat (1986), Abbas Shiblak (1986), Marion Wolfsohn (1980), and Rafael Shapiro (1984).[4]

In his article, Giladi writes that this was also the conclusion of Wilbur Crane Eveland, a former senior officer in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) who outlined that allegation in his book "Ropes of Sand".

Giladi also mentions Mordechai Ben-Porat, a former Israeli Member of the Knesset, and a Cabinet minister, who was a key figure in the Zionist underground, as having been cited as one the figures responsible for the bombings by one of the Iraqi investigators into the bombings, in a book entitled "Venom of the Zionist Viper".

Ben-Porat was one of several Israeli undercover Mossad agents arrested in Baghdad after the explosion; he was able to skip bail and flee to Israel.[5]

Various allegations have been made against Sheridan.
