Shannon was later found alive.

No forensic evidence has ever been found to support the idea that Madeleine is dead.

The McCanns did not change their story.

Right from the start, in official statements to the Policia Judiciaria (PJ), they said the patio doors were closed but weren't locked.

Brigitte Zypries spoke the truth. 

The very powerful people behind the kidnapping of Madeleine have waged a campaign to convince the more naive members of the public that no high-powered pedophile ring is involved.

However, the less gullible people have known exactly what has been going on and have spoken out.

The German Justice Minister, Brigitte Zypries, said, at a meeting of G8 justice ministers, that it should be assumed that Madeleine had been abducted by a gang that passes on children to be abused.[31]

That means a six-week delay.

On 28 April, Insp Ricardo Paiva sent the e-mail to Lisbon Interpol.

On 23 May, Interpol replied.

In other words, the top police were apparently trying to frustrate the inquiry.

Regina Louf testified to the authorities about orgies at which she allegedly saw children tortured and murdered.

The authorities removed Connerotte from the case.

Patriek De Baets was the official in charge of investigating the X-files. The authorities removed him from the case.

Cools was shot dead. Before he could speak out.

After Dutroux's arrest in 1996, arrests were made in the Cool's case.

One of those arrested was Alain Van der Biest, a Socialist Minister, alleged to have close links with the mafia gangs of Liege.

Belgian TV came up with an anonymous witness who claimed that leading Socialist politician, Guy Mathot, had ordered Cools to be killed.

In 1994 Mathot was charged with corruption over kickbacks paid to Belgium's Socialist parties.

Willy Claes was NATO Secretary General and a Belgian. He was caught up in the Mathot kickbacks thing and was forced to resign.

Melchior Wathelet was top judge who released Dutroux from prison in 1991.

Wathelet was Belgium's judge at the European Court of Justice.

Wathelet was Belgium's Justice Minister at the time when Cools was shot dead.

Cools' son called for Wathelet and other top judges to be removed from office.

In 1996 there were suggestions that the gangs involved in the Cools' killing had been involved with Dutroux.

Gonçalo Amaral, who investigated the Madeleine case, is one of the bad guys.

Amaral and four other officers were charged with offences related to an earlier inquiry into the disappearance of Joana Cipriano, an eight-year-old Portuguese girl missing since 2004 from Figueira, seven miles from Praia da Luz. 

The police reportedly tried to frame the mother. The mother was reportedly beaten by the police. Amaral was not present when the beating reportedly took place, but was accused of covering up for others. 

He was convicted of perjury in May 2009 for having falsified documents in the Cipriano case, and received an 18-month suspended sentence.

Jane Tanner, a friend of the McCanns, told the police that, at 9.15 pm, she saw a dark-haired man carrying away a child wearing pink floral pyjamas.

The police now claim that the dark haired man was almost certainly an innocent holidaymaker picking up his two-year-old daughter from a night crèche at the Ocean Club complex.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood, leading the inquiry says: "We're almost certain now that this sighting is not the abductor."

At around 10pm, Martin Smith reported seeing a man, who did not look like a tourist, walking towards the beach carrying a blonde girl.

The police now claim that this is likely to be the kidnapper.

A year earlier in the same week of Madeleine’s disappearance, a man broke into a flat where two young children were sleeping alone.

The man, described as skinny with dark hair, picked up a camera case and peered into one of the travel cots, but he was disturbed by the child’s screams and left empty-handed.

Mr Redwood said he was struck by the similarities in the break-in through a patio door. He suggested that a gang who knew the area may have been watching the McCann family.

MARTIN SMITH'S 2007 STATEMENT TO THE POLICE IN PORTUGAL:

Regarding the individual he states that: he was Caucasian, around 175 to 180m in height. 

He appeared to be about 35/40 years old. 

He had a normal complexion, a bit on the thin side. 

His hair was short, in a basic male cut, brown in colour. 

He cannot state if it was dark or lighter in tone. 

He did not use glasses and had no beard or moustache. 

He did not notice any other relevant details partly due to the fact that the lighting was not very good.

• He was wearing cream or beige-coloured cloth trousers in a classic cut. He did not see his shoes and cannot describe the colour or form of the same. 

• He states that the child was female, about four years of age as she was similar to his granddaughter of the same age. It was a child of normal complexion, about a metre in height. The child has blonde medium-hued hair, without being very light. Her skin was very white, typical of a Brit. He did not look at her eyes. As she was asleep and her eyelids were closed. 

• She was wearing light-coloured pyjamas. He cannot state with certainty the colour. She was not covered by any other cover or sheet. He cannot confirm whether she was barefoot but in his group, they spoke about the child having no cover on her feet. 

• Urged, he states that the individual did not appear to be a tourist. He cannot explain this further. It was simply his perception given the individual's clothing. He states that the individual carried the child in his arms, with her head laying on the individual's shoulders to the right of the deponent. He adds that he did not hold the child in a comfortable position. 

• Having already seen various photographs of MADELEINE alongside her images on television, states that she may have been the child he saw. He cannot state this as fact but is convinced that it could have been MADELEINE. Indeed, this is the opinion of his family.

• Questioned, says that the individual did not speak nor did the child as she was in a deep sleep.

• States that it is not possible to recognise the individual in person or by photograph.

It is based on the account of a British woman who was on holiday.

Madeleine McCann disappeared in 2007. She had been on holiday with her parents in Praia da Luz in Portugal.

Early in the inquiry the Portuguese police drew up e-fits of suspicious men seen in Praia da Luz on the night, based on descriptions by two British men, Derek Flack and Lance Purser.

These 2007 e-fits look different to the October 2013 e-fits now issued by the Metropolitan Police.

The Portuguese police were reluctant to issue the above e-fit. 

This could suggest that the man in the e-fit works for the security services.

Michel Lelievre was involved in a child kidnapping ring with links to the police.

Derek Flack, from Ilford in England, was on holiday in Praia da Luz, at the same time as Madeleine.

Dereck Flack told the police:

"He observed an individual (about 1.70 in height, dark apparently Portuguese in appearance, with one day stubble, with short dark hair, cut long at the back, which extended to his shirt collar, wearing a possibly yellow T shirt) who was standing at the corner of the path watching (this being the reason he found him suspicious) in the direction of the apartment that Madeleine would later disappear from.

"He adds that near to where the individual was watching, on the other side of the road, was a parked vehicle, van type, white, with a person (he does not remember whether the person was inside or outside the vehicle). He cannot describe that person."



It looks as if the UK police are protecting the kidnappers?

British police have reportedly arrested a man after he boasted at a party of having recently seen Madeleine on a Mediterranean island.

However, it appears he was arrested for reasons unrelated to the child’s disappearance from her family’s holiday apartment.

Britain's Sunday Mirror newspaper reported a week ago that a barrister had given a detailed statement to police after attending a party in Manchester where the man made the extraordinary claim.

The man boasted that he had been introduced to Madeleine on the island this summer. She was in the company of another adult.

The barrister said he took the claim seriously because of the level of detail.

The Sunday Mirror reported that the man making the claims was arrested during the week and computers were seized.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police told the paper “a man was arrested … on suspicion of possession of drugs and conspiracy to distribute indecent images of children”.

Does that make any sense to anyone? During the tete-a-tete at his house they espy drugs?

Why search his computer? And what exactly on his computer would have led them to believe he was in possession of drugs?

Anyway, the main thing is... whomever-it-was has been silenced / discredited / threatened / disappeared, or all of the above?
