IRAQ
The CIA put Saddam into power and manipulated Iraq and Iran into a war. 1.5 million Iranians may have died in the Iran-Iraq war. Then came the Desert Storm campaign, depleted uranium, UN sanctions and the latest Iraq war. Over 1 million Iraqis have died as a result of American interference in Iraq.
9 11
On 9 11, 1973, Salvador Allende, the President of Chile, was killed in an American-sponsored coup, led by General Augusto Pinochet. Pinochet's rise to power, organised by the CIA and Henry Kissinger, began nearly twenty years of military dictatorship that led to thousands of deaths. 30,000 people were massacred in the weeks following this September 11th, as Pinochet tried to wipe out those who opposed fascism.
The Congo was given a military dictatorship thanks to the CIA assassination of Patrice Lumumba. The Congo conflict has led to at least 3 million deaths.
In Cambodia, America (and Britain) backed Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot who killed nearly 2 million Cambodians.
In 1936, the American National Guard helped Anastasio Somoza to set up a dictatorship which ruled Nicaragua for 43 years.
Brazil, Guatemala, El Salvador, Ecuador, Uruguay, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Haiti, Greece, Iran... All of these and more suffered from torture and death as a result of American 'intervention.'
"I will never apologise for the United States of America - I don't care what the facts are," said President George Bush Sr. in 1988, when the U.S. Navy warship Vincennes shot down an Iranian commercial airliner. The plane was on a routine flight in a commercial corridor in Iranian airspace. All 290 civilians on board the aircraft were killed.
Many thousands of Afghan civilians have died as a result of U.S. led air strikes in Afghanistan.
Many Germans died after the end of World War II due to the harsh policies of the USA. A survey conducted by the German government stated that some 1.4 million German prisoners died in captivity; many of them died in American captivity.
Since the Second World War, the US government has bombed 21 countries:
China in 1945-46 and again in 1950-53,
Korea in 1950-53
In Korea, nearly 3 million civilians were murdered by the USA and its allies. Civilians were murdered at No Gun Ri and many other places. The USA supported the fascist puppet regime in South Korea. The South Korean government carried out genocide against both North and South Korean people.

Indonesia in 1958
Up to one million innocent civilians died in Indonesia after the CIA put Suharto into power in Indonesia. At least one third of the population of East Timor died after the USA gave Suharto permission to invade that country.
Vietnam in 1961-73
North Vietnam did not want a war. The US military-industrial complex made sure that there was a war. Through the Phoenix Program, hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese were tortured to death in “interrogation centers”. These torture centers were built by the United States. Women were always raped as part of the torture before being murdered. This terrorism, rape and mass-murder was the policy of the USA. The My Lai massacre itself was an operation of the Phoenix Program. Up to 5 million Vietnamese were killed in the Vietnam war.

Laos in 1964-73,The United States Air Force dropped the equivalent of a planeload of bombs every eight minutes for nine years on the people of Laos — from 1965 to 1973. One girl's story
Time magazine interviewed Eman, aged 9.
She said:
"We heard a big noise that woke us all up... It was very early, and we were all wearing our nightclothes."
American marines entered the house.
"First, they went into my father's room... and we heard shots."
The marines then entered the living room.
"I couldn't see their faces very well - only their guns sticking into the doorway. I watched them shoot my grandfather, first in the chest and then in the head. Then they killed my granny."
The troops started firing toward the corner of the room where she and her younger brother, Abdul Rahman, 8, were hiding; the other adults shielded the children from the bullets but died in the process. Eman says her leg was hit by a piece of metal and Abdul Rahman was shot near his shoulder.
"We were lying there, bleeding, and it hurt so much. Afterward, some Iraqi soldiers came. They carried us in their arms. I was crying, shouting, 'Why did you do this to our family?' And one Iraqi soldier tells me, 'We didn't do it. The Americans did.'"

In KENYA, 32 Whites were killed by the Mau Mau during the five-year state of emergency. More whites died in traffic accidents in the capital city, Nairobi.
Kenyans were forced into concentration camps and routinely tortured. Some 150,000 Africans died as a direct result of the British policy.There was a "constant stream of reports of brutalities by police, military and home guards", wrote Canon Bewes, a British missionary.
"Some of the people had been using castration instruments and two men had died under castration."
Other brutalities included slicing off ears, boring holes in eardrums, flogging people to death, pouring paraffin over suspects and setting them alight and burning eardrums with cigarettes.
A British district officer admitted, "There was outright abuse of power and some of the crimes committed were horrific. One day six Mau Mau suspects were brought into a police station in the neighbouring district to mine. The British police inspector in charge lined them up against a wall and shot them."
A mobile gallows travelled the country. Over 1,000 were hanged, their bodies displayed at crossroads and market places.
In MALAYSIA, the British used aerial bombing to massacres innocent villagers.

Two films based on hoaxes.
The films The Da Vinci Code and United 93 have one thing in common. What is that?

It was then lifted lock, stock and drivel by Brown and called a fact.

The parchments of Rennes le Château, concerning the alleged Priory of Sion, were part of a hoax by a man called Pierre Plantard.
Plantard got a friend to make the fake parchments which he then used for the fake priory story in 1956. (See Carl E. Olson and Sandra Miesel, The Da Vinci Hoax, 2004.)

"[Indian Lake marina employee John] Fleegle said he climbed on the roof of an abandoned cabin and tossed down a burning seat cushion that had landed there. By Wednesday morning, crash debris began washing ashore at the marina. Fleegle said there was something that looked like a rib bone amid pieces of seats, small chunks of melted plastic and checks."
Seats and bones don't fly two and a half miles from a crash. Their location could indicate an initial explosion, such as that from a missile hitting a plane.

The American Mafia and the UK
The American Mafia comes to Britain.
In 1961, in the United Kingdom, the Betting and Gaming Act made casinos legal.
Many of the UK casinos became a cover for the Mafia.
American mobsters came to the UK from Chicago and Miami.
According to the FBI, back in the 1960's, there was a summit between the American Mafia and London's gangsters to discuss the running of London clubs.
Home Secretary, Roy Jenkins, decided to act. Some mobsters were deported and in 1970 a new Gaming Act became law.

When the squares had a go at her she had a wacky defence. She denounced opponents letting casino operators bankrupt gullible punters as “snobs.” That’s right, snobs. As if they were objecting to the party DJ playing hip-hop.
Something inside of me snapped when I heard that and it wasn’t just my picture of Jowell as a well-meaning busybody. Here was the wife of Silvio Berlusconi’s lawyer using the old Labour language of class struggle to defend the interests of gambling tycoons.
The announcement about casinos came at the same time as warnings that increasing numbers of Britons were getting into difficulties with gambling.
Gambling advice charity GamCare said that the total number of people approaching it for counselling rose 41.3 per cent from 2004, to 6,563 in 2005, and a growing proportion of those seeking help are women.

GOD
Does GOD exist?
Anthony Flew, a philosophy professor who has been an atheist for more than 50 years, has decided that God may exist after all.
He believes scientific evidence supports the theory that some sort of intelligence created the universe.
Flew argues that the investigation of DNA "has shown, by the almost unbelievable complexity of the arrangements which are needed to produce life, that intelligence must have been involved."

But, how can a God, who is all powerful, all knowing and all good, allow a tsunami to wipe out thousands of people?

Even Jesus spoke about God mainly in parables.

So, if God exists, what is God like?
According to Dr Robert Beckford, a committed pentecostal Christian and a reader in theology at Birmingham University, the Bible may not have all the answers.
In a British Channel 4 documentary on 25 December 2004 Beckford said:
'The so-called law of Moses turns out to be the work of many human hands. What I once thought was the word of God was now beginning to sound like something out of Stalin's Russia.'
Beckford produced archaeological evidence to suggest that the kingdoms of David and Solomon did NOT dominate the 10th century BC, as the Bible claims.
He declared the New Testament a 'masterwork of spin written by people who were nowhere near the events they describe, all gathered by powerful editors who kept out ideas they did not like'.
Does anyone have the answers?
To Carl Jung, God may be an evolving being.
Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung (1875 - 1961) said in Memories, Dreams, Reflections:
"If the Creator were conscious of Himself, He would not need conscious creatures; nor is it probable that the extremely indirect methods of creation, which squander millions of years upon the development of countless species and creatures, are the outcome of purposeful intention. Natural history tells us of a haphazard and casual transformation of species over hundreds of millions of years of devouring and being devoured. The biological and political history of man is an elaborate repetition of the same thing. But the history of the mind offers a different picture. Here the miracle of reflecting consciousness intervenes."
French theologian and scientist Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (1881-1955) also sees God as an evolving thing.
De Chardin argues that all things are evolving and the unity of the universe is grounded not in matter or energy but spirit.
The Buddhists keep a noble silence on the subject of God.
Taoists say that the Tao which can be described in words is not the real Tao.
Even Jesus spoke about God mainly in parables.

Why is there evil?
For the joy of good arising from it.
Why darkness?
That the light may shine more.

Why the infinite play of creation and evolution?
For pure joy.
The more the lower self is forgotten in good works, and in the realisation of the beautiful and the true, the quicker becomes the process of evolution.

He also never relinquished his belief in natural theology: he wrote to Darwin in 1871 that "a sentiment of beauty pervading Nature. . . affords evidence of intellect and benevolence in the scheme of Nature. This principle of beauty is clearly from design and cannot be accounted for by natural selection." The phrase quoted above, "There is more beauty and unity of design in this continual balancing of life to circumstance," sums up Matthew's attitude to natural selection: it showed the workings of Providence, of the designed laws of nature.

In February of 1858, ... Alfred Russel Wallace suddenly, and rather unexpectedly, connected the ideas of Thomas Malthus on the limits to population growth to a mechanism that might ensure long-term organic change. This was the concept of the "survival of the fittest," in which those individual organisms that are best adapted to their local surroundings are seen to have a better chance of surviving, and thus of differentially passing along their traits to progeny. Excited over his discovery, Wallace penned an essay on the subject as soon as he was well enough to do so, and sent it off to Darwin.Darwin's Origin of the Species was published in 1859.
Wallace was a believer in spiritualism. He saw spiritualism as the best way of accounting for the overall direction of evolution at the moral and intellectual level.
In a collection of essays that were published in 1870, Wallace claimed that natural selection was not a strong enough process to have brought about the human race. Wallace said you needed a Supreme Intelligence.

Maybe they are both trying to achieve status?
Maybe the teenage stabber has been made to feel inferior by both parents and school. Stabbing can make the teenager famous.

Psychoanalyst Alfred Adler, having read Nietzsche, wrote about "the will for power". People want to feel appreciated. They may sometimes feel inferior but they are deperate for status.
Britney Spears was born in McComb, Mississippi, and raised a Southern Baptist in Kentwood, Louisiana. Not a perfect beginning. But we suspect that Britney's succes was due as much to her amazing talents as to any desire for status.
Mother Teresa remembered her childhood as being 'exceptionally happy.' Her mother was very caring. Mother Teresa may have been motivated by genuine compassion.
George Bush had a difficult upbringing and wanted to be appreciated by his mom and dad. That might explain his bombing of Afghanistan and Iraq.

David Frum, Bush's speechwriter, wrote: "Sigmund Freud imported the Latin pronoun id to describe the impulsive, carnal, unruly elements of the human personality. [In his youth] Bush's id seems to have been every bit as powerful and destructive as Clinton's id. But sometime in Bush's middle years, his id was captured, shackled and manacled, and locked away."
Freud said that the personality has three parts: the id, the ego and the superego.
The id has the inherited things like the sex drive and aggression. The id wants pleasure.
The ego realises that in this world you sometimes have to control your sex drive. You sometimes have to go to school and do homework. Or at least you have to pretend to do homework. Bush's id has appeared to be controlled by his ego.
The superego has something to do with conscience and compassion.
Bush, like most of us, wants to satisfy the desires of the id. He does not want to be too bothered by compassion.
Bush wants to satisfy the id while at the same time getting the approval of society.
Bush can become rich while pretending to be fighting terror.
Freud's daughter, Anna, has written about defence mechanisms.
Bush's defence mechanism involves believing that the children in Afghanistan and Iraq, tortured and killed by his troops, do not matter.
Bush may be kind to dogs but cruel to foreigners. The concentration camp guard may be a caring father. There is a split in the personality.
Bush can do bad things while pretending to be a good Christian president.
But what if he gets found out?
Jesus obtained status by apparently not seeking status. He suggested we should wash each others' feet.
The real way to obtain status is not to care about it.

Sex scandal as Montenegro votes on independence.
Montenegro has a sex scandal at the same time as it is holding a referendum on independence.
Sex scandal hurts Montenegro independence bid
Milo Djukanovic is the Prime Minister of Montenegro. He wants independence from Serbia. He is being opposed by some of the people of Montenegro.
There is a sex scandal involving several members of Milo Djukanovic's party.
On live television, Milo Djukanovic has been accused by his main opponent of covering up the case of Svetlana Cebotarenko.
Svetlana is a Moldovan woman smuggled into Montenegro and allegedly forced to have sex with top politicians and businessmen.
Svetlana told police in 2003 that she had been held in captivity for three years and regularly beaten, burnt, drugged and raped.
She was helped by a women’s rights group to leave the country.
Predrag Bulatovic has led the campaign to keep Serbia and Montenegro together.
Predrag Bulatovic held up a letter written to Djukanovic by a former public prosecutor. The letter warns the prime minister that a trial of those implicated in the sex scandal would “compromise certain reputations”.
Prime Minister Djukanovic, who is being investigated by the Italian authorities over allegations of cigarette smuggling in the early 1990s, says he has never seen the letter. “If somebody wants to visit prostitutes, there is nothing I can do,” he said.
Prime Minister Djukanovic presents himself as a pro-western reformer, and has been encouraged by the USA to push for independence.
Javier Solana, the European Commission’s foreign policy chief, is less keen on independence.
Polls have shown 51% to 56% of the 485,000 voters supporting independence.

The first victim of John David Hall has criticised the police for not catching him 9 years ago.
Tracey Hemsley, 29, said: “The police should have caught him at the very beginning.
“If only they had done more all those years ago then all those other girls would have been spared.”
John David Hall kidnapped a series of young teenage girls while posing as a policeman.
John David Hall was a senior prison officer at Wakefield, a maximum security jail in the UK.
Hall worked with some of Britain's most serious sex offenders.
He was a Principal Officer in charge of a wing at the prison where Soham double child killer Ian Huntley is serving life for the murders of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.
Roy Whiting, who is serving life for the murder of schoolgirl Sarah Payne, was also held in the jail until fairly recently.
Back in 1997 , John David Hall was in police custody on suspicion of rape. He was released.
But it was not until May 2006 that Hall ended up in jail.
A 12-year-old girl was walking along a road in Wakefield when a car pulled up alongside. The driver, Hall, was posing as a police officer and asked the girl for directions. Hall told the girl that if she didn't get into the car he would use force. She got into the car and was driven to an unused road close to the police helicopter base. There, he indecently assaulted the girl.
In April 2005, BBC's Crimewatch referred to this and another sex crime. There were 175 calls from people providing names and information.
Over a period of years from 1997 to 2001 Hall raped a number of women and girls.

Communicating with the dead in Vietnam
BBC 2 had a programme on 18 May 2006 about communicating with Vietnam's war dead.

At least 3 million Vietnamese died in the Vietnam War which ended in 1975.
According to the BBC TV programme, some Vietnamese families have been using psychics to get in touch with loved ones missing in action.
One psychic is Nguyen Khac Bay. Many families contact Bay because they believe that he has the ability to communicate with the dead.
"Don't say a thing until I ask you," Bay says, staring at the family sitting opposite.
Suddenly Bay jolts to life.
"OK, got it."
Bay holds up a self-drawn map. It shows a red circle, pinpointing what he claims is the final resting place of the missing relative.
Major-General Nguyen Chu Phac is head of the parapsychology department of the Centre for Research into Human Capabilities
He has travelled the length of the country, testing the claims of hundreds of psychics.
Chu Phac has recruited the country's best psychics for Project TK05, a study of how the living can communicate with the dead.
"The results of this work were assessed by a special committee from the national science council," wrote the New Hanoi newspaper. "The opinion of the committee was unanimous... the results were astounding."
The centre's psychics claimed to have located thousands of those missing in action.
Some families that Bay has helped have done DNA testing independently. The results have shown positive matches.
Vu Thi Minh Nghia is also a psychic.
She believes the dead talk to her and guide her to their remains, so she can take them home
Both Bay and Nghia say they recognised their abilities after having near-death experiences.
Nghia says she is guided by the spirits of soldiers.
Both Nghia and Bay refuse money from people who seek her help.
On the BBC programme, Nghia called the spirit of soldier Vu Cong Trach.
"The information she gave me about my home, about it's layout, the types of tree there, it was just too exact," says Trach's son.
Trach's wife's miscarriage is mentioned by Nghia. This had been a family secret.
The family search for the grave. The directions seem exact. The grave is found.

3. At present, Scotland is subsidising England. (North Sea Oil revenues)
4. If Scotland was independent, and had control over tax and currency, it could be as rich as Ireland, Norway or Switzerland.
The Economist has pointed out that:
1. Banking and financial services flourish in Edinburgh.
2.Video games are a new industry for Dundee.
3. Biotechnology is well established in Glasgow, Dundee and Edinburgh.
Why did so many Scots vote Labour in recent decades?
In the Calton district of Glasgow, male life expectancy is 53.9 years, almost ten years fewer than in Bangladesh. 58% of the adults in Calton do not work.
Many people in the poorer parts of Scotland have voted Labour so that they can get hand-outs from the state.
It suits Labour to keep people dependent on the government.
According to The Economist: 'Labour, strongest in the western part of the central belt, is rooted in backward-looking state socialism.'
The Conservatives did well in Scotland in 1955, when they won more votes than Labour. But the Conservatives treated Scotland so badly that they are unlikely ever to make a come-back.
According to The Economist, the proportion of Scots who say they also feel British has diminished since the 1970s.
The Economist reminds us that a number of books have been published recently with titles like:
“Capital of the Mind: How Edinburgh Changed the World”,
“The Scottish Enlightenment: the Scots' Invention of the Modern World”,
“On the Make: How the Scots Took Over London”,

7/7 fabricated evidence
W B Kelso alerted us to this item by 'impatient' of Liberty Forum:
The most important thing to know about the four is that the "evidence" against them is fabricated and the fabricators are the perpetrators or their agents.
The police claimed to have video of the four at King's Cross Station where they were said to have boarded their respective trains.
That "evidence" has never been produced.
The only picture they have of the alleged London bombers comes from a CCTV at Luton station 25 minutes northwest of London.
That picture, even if authentic, does not even support their presence in London on July 7th, 2005!
There are hundreds of miles of subway track going in all directions from King’s Cross Station. Every station has numerous CCTV cameras. It is quite likely that every train has CCTV cameras. Every camera has hours of video tape.
A team looking at all the tape from every camera from every station in every direction would yield what? What would the examiners be looking for?
What evidence was available to tell the investigators that the bombs had been carried on by passengers rather than being placed beforehand?
There was no such evidence.
How many passengers on 7/7 prior to the bomb detonations were carrying packages, backpacks, strollers, briefcases, were wearing clothing that could conceal a bomb, and how many obese or pregnant women boarded anywhere in the system? Are backpacks so out of the ordinary in England that they would immediately be spotted as suspicious?
What evidence led the investigators to the tapes at Luton station, and why would they bother looking so far afield if they had, as they claimed, tapes of the four at King’s Cross Station just before they boarded their trains?
If indeed they were filmed together at King’s Cross Station, the question of how they got there would lead to a much wider investigation to include all methods of conveyance that could have brought them together at King’s Cross, including their own feet.
Authentic investigations proceed differently.
When the culprits, their methods, and their motivations are announced before an investigation is done that is clear evidence of a lie.
Anything that comes after that is a fabrication designed to substantiate the lie.
To find out who did the London bombings, how and why, you must ask who planted the Luton station picture, and why they have not produced the King’s Cross tapes!
