A Channel 4 TV Dispatches programme, 23 May, revealed how Blair's New Labour faked grassroots support during the General Election. An undercover Channel 4 reporter, Jenny Kleeman, showed how:
1. Fake letters were sent to local newspapers to show support for Labour’s achievements.
2. Labour activists posed as 'local people' to greet Blair on the campaign trail.

According to The Times: "A QUARTER of the police forces across Britain are investigating last week’s elections in a purge on fraud and malpractice."
According to the Scotsman there are claims that a Labour Party activist in Birmingham kept a ballot box at his home the night before polls opened. The activist's daughter was a presiding officer for one polling station.
In 1974, Labour's Harold Wilson won 39% of the vote and had a majority of only 3 seats.
In 2005, Labour's Tony Blair won 35% of the vote and had a majority of 67 seats.
According to Robin Cook, former UK Foreign Secretary, a party can normally expect to lose an election if it gets only 36% of the vote.
In 2005, Blair lost lots of not very marginal seats, but managed to hold on to some of the most marginal.
Nationally, Labour saw a 6% drop in their share of the vote.
In the 25 most marginal Labour-Lib Dem seats, the Liberal Democrats saw an average 6.7% increase in their share of the vote.
There are no obvious signs of vote fraud in Leeds North West, which was not considered particularly marginal, but which was captured by the Liberal Democrats:

In the constituencies which were most marginal, the swing against Labour was smaller than might be expected. This could be due to a variety of factors, including:
(1) Extra effort by the Labour candidate and his party organisation
(2) tactical voting
(3) possible vote fraud.
In the marginal constituency of Aberdeen South, an investigation has begun into postal voting.

Senior members of the Asian community have been accused of attempting to organise a postal vote racket in Leicester.
Parmjit Singh Gill, the Liberal Democrat MP for Leicester South in the last parliament, believes constituents were put under pressure to register for a postal vote, and then instructed who to vote for.
Leicester South was won by the Liberal Democrats in a previous bi-election.

US ELECTIONS
Election Day Exit Polls showed that Kerry won both the electoral & popular vote with Kerry getting 51% and Bush 48%.
Early on the morning of 11/3 the mass media continued to show Kerry’s national win - and Kerry's win in Ohio & Florida. CNN’s website 11/3 at 12:21AM showed Kerry’s win in Ohio State.
Officially Bush won the election.
Statisticians & mathematicians were alarmed at the 5.5% discrepancy between his exit polls and the vote count, which was outside the "margin of error".
A report released March 31st by a group of university statisticians stated that it was near impossible in statistical terms for the discrepancy to be so large without the election vote count being suspect.
An Ohio Recount was requested. The areas most suspected of vote fraud were never counted.
One primary method for fraud was vote machines on a "default setting" - so despite voting for Kerry or an entire Democratic Ticket, the machine would flip to a Bush Vote. Some voters tried over & over to change this. Some voters reported the screen finally verified a Kerry vote,but when they got to the end page to reconfirm ballot,it showed Bush.
Some Florida local election officials "were seen throwing away the official vote count tapes for election day, replacing them with new tapes with new vote count numbers".
The study, “Response to Edison/Mitofsky Election System 2004 Report”, was co-authored by a group of professors and academicians specializing in statistics and mathematics affiliated with University of Notre Dame, University of Pennsylvania, University of Utah, Cornell University, University of Wisconsin, Southern Methodist University, Case Western Reserve University and Temple University. Their study does not support claims made by Edison Media Research and Mitofsky International that exit poll errors were to blame for the unprecedented 5.5% discrepancy between exit polls and official 2004 election results.
According to this analysis by a group of senior statisticians, the new data just released by the exit-pollsters shows that the possibility that the overall vote count was substantially corrupted must be taken seriously. “Now we have statistical evidence that these reports were the tip of a national iceberg. The hypothesis that the discrepancy between the exit polls and election results is due to errors in the official election tally is a coherent theory that must be explored,” said statistician Josh Mitteldorf.
The paper titled "Response to Edison/Mitofsky Election System 2004 Report" notes that the Edison/Mitofsky report offers no evidence to support their conclusion that Kerry voters “participated in the exit polls at a higher rate than Bush voters”. In fact, the data provided in the Edison/Mitofsky report suggests that the opposite may have been true: Bush strongholds had slightly higher response rates than Kerry strongholds.
The statisticians note that precincts with hand-counted paper ballots showed no statistical discrepancy between the exit polls and the official results, but for other voting technologies, the overall discrepancy was far larger than the polls’ margin of error.
In one precinct in Ohio, over 4,258 votes were given to Bush where there were only 638 registered voters.
The touch screen machines produce no paper trail.
There is evidence of problems with the "optical scanners" that were used to tabulate the results in many states. When voters fill out paper ballots these ballots were fed into the scanners to total the results. These scanners were manufactured by Diebold & ESS, and have been shown to be easily hacked.

The Guardian, 13 May 2005, reported that Russia claims spies are at work within British and American NGOs.
Russia's spy chief, Nikolai Patrushev, told parliament that they had discovered British and American spies working for non-governmental organisations. According to Patrushev, these spies had helped foment uprisings in former Soviet republics.
Among those he named was the British medical charity Merlin, which denied the allegation.
Mr Patrushev said: "Our opponents are steadily and persistently trying to weaken Russian influence in the commonwealth of independent states and the international arena as a whole. The latest events in Georgia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan unambiguously confirm this."
Mr Patrushev accused an American NGO, the International Republican Institute, of planning to spend £2.6m to finance opposition groups in Belarus.
Mr Patrushev said there were spies in the US Peace Corps.

Acording to Scott Ritter, in the Independent 12 December 2004, "The oil-for-food 'scandal' is a cynical smokescreen."
Norm Coleman leads the US senators investigating the oil-for-food programme.
Ritter sees the investigation as a charade, designed to shift attention away from the Iraq debacle.
According to Ritter:
1. The oil-for-food programme was designed to help topple Saddam.
2. The US and UK allowed a billion-dollar illegal oil smuggling trade over the Turkish border.
3. The US turned a blind eye to a Russian oil company buying oil from Iraq at a heavy discount.

The death of Minnesota Senator Paul Wellstone not only deprived the Democrats of a majority during the lame-duck session after the 2002 election but the subsequent loss of Walter Mondale to Norm Coleman, whom Wellstone was defeating, cost them control of the Senate.

Kennedy examines the theory that on 9 11, "covert US government intervention killed thousands of innocents and handed the country to a commerce-friendly, torture-loving, far-right junta."
Kennedy points out:
1. The FBI blocked investigations into the plot prior to 9 11.
2. The nearest military aircraft weren't scrambled to intercept the hijacked flights when this is standard procedure.
3. When more distant jets were eventually brought in, they flew at less than half speed.
It would seem, they shot down Flight 93 'when its passengers may already have overcome its hijackers'.
4. With Flight 93, three minutes of the cockpit recording appear to be missing.
The black boxes from the other crashes disappeared. 'Firefighters at Ground Zero have repeatedly stated that three of the four possible black boxes there were found and taken away by government agents'.
5. There are worries about the clear links between the Pakistani ISI, the CIA and the men named as the 9/11 hijackers.
6. There are worries about 'the mysterious inability of anyone to capture Osama bin Laden'.
Kennedy relates that the UK and USA continue to:
1. terrorise countries unconnected with the attacks
2. place permanent military bases near oil reserves and pipeline routes
3. harass and murder Muslims
4. foment terrorist resistance at every opportunity.

London's Metropolitan Police was criticised by a Judge for running an undercover multi-million pound drugs operation, without permission.

"A prosecution based on the sting was thrown out at Southwark crown court ... after a judge described the police actions as 'massively illegal'.

Luis Posada Carriles is suspected of being involved in the bombing of a passenger plane.
Declassified US government documents show that Luis Posada Carriles worked for the CIA.
The documents reveal that an FBI informer "all but admitted" that Luis Posada Carriles was one of those behind the 1976 bombing of a Cuban passenger plane that killed 73 people.
The documents were released by George Washington University's National Security Archive
One FBI report quoted a confidential source as saying that Mr Luis Posada Carriles was one of several people who met at least twice at a hotel in Caracas, allegedly to discuss bombing a Cubana airlines plane.
Mr Posada was arrested after the bombing, but escaped from prison.
The US documents show that he later joined the covert US operation, led by Oliver North, to rearm the Contra guerrillas.
Mr Posada once boasted of being responsible for a series of bomb attacks on Havana tourist spots in the 1990s.
The US would have to reconcile its traditional sympathy for the politically influential Cuban exiles in Miami and its firm stand against suspected terrorists in the wake of the 11 September 2001 attacks, our correspondent says.

At one point, the Agency could count amongst this number the men who were second and third in power in the country.
CIA agents would bomb churches or right-wing organizations and make it appear to be the work of leftists.

An internal investigation by Pan Am is believed to have found that the bomb planted on Flight 103 was NOT put on the plane in Malta.
The Pan Am report is believed to have concluded that the bomb was not aimed at the killing of Americans in general, but was targeted specifically to kill a small band of DIA operatives that had uncovered a drugs ring run by a CIA unit in Lebanon.
The drugs-ring is said to have been set up by Israeli Mossad agents.

Why do some Scots believe that justice was done at the Lockerbie bomb trial? Because they have been deceived by the CIA.
LOCKERBIE - There were many advance warnings that a bomb was going to be placed on a US aircraft at Frankfurt airport.For example, on 5 December 1988, the US Embassy in Helsinki had a telephone warning that "within the next two weeks" an attempt would be made to place a bomb aboard a Pan Am flight from Frankfurt to New York. On 18 december 1988 the German BKA was tipped off about a bomb plot against Pan Am 103 in the next two or three days.
Pan Am Flight 103 hit Lockerbie on 21 December 1988.
On that flight "were at least 2 US Intelligence agents and a Mr Khalid Nazir Jafaar."
The Dumfries and Galloway police began to investigate.
But for two days it was "difficult" for them to collect evidence as "CIA agents combed the countryside for the luggage of the dead American intelligence agents and a suitcase full of heroin.... 59 bodies were left lying around Lockerbie until 24 December... but by then there were only 58 bodies..." according to former DIA agent Lester Coleman

The Lockerbie judges considered the evidence of Maltese shopkeeper Tony Gauci, who provided the only visual identification of al-Megrahi as having been the person who allegedly bought clothes that were found, or planted , at the crash site, and were thought to be in the same suitcase as the bomb.
Gauci’s evidence was upheld despite numerous discrepancies over the date, time, weather, which football matches were on the television and even whether or not Christmas decorations were up.
Gauci had previously identified a member of a Palestinian group, Abu Talb, as being the person who 'bought the clothes'. Abu Talb does not look like al-Megrahi.

Dr Hans Kochler, who was handpicked by UN Secretary General Kofi Annan to act as the international observer during the trial in Holland, hinted that the trial was rigged, claimed the guilty verdict handed down in February to Abdelbasset Ali Mohamed Al Megrahi was 'arbitrary' and 'irrational' and gave his tacit support for an acquittal at the planned appeal."
23 May, 2000: It was revealed by sections of the Scottish press that the deputy director of the Lockerbie trial briefing unit at Glasgow University, Professor Andrew Fulton, was an MI6 intelligence officer.
The unit was supposed to provide "impartial and objective" legal information about the trial and was much used by the TV news programmes.
24/05/00 THE SCOTSMAN: "Prof Fulton has been 'on holiday' since it was revealed that during his 30 year diplomatic career he was a key memberof the MI6 secret service in Europe, Asia and America."

In the Guardian, 10 May 2005, Richard Drayton, the senior lecturer in history at Cambridge University, wrote about:
the myths surrounding the British and American military.

Drayton tells us about Robert Lilly's book 'Taken by Force'.
Lilly, a distinguished American sociologist, studied the military archives and then wrote about the rapes committed by American soldiers in Europe between 1942 and 1945. Lilly's US publisher suppressed the book.
Drayton states that we prefer not to know about the mass rape committed by American and British troops. Lilly suggests a minimum of 10,000 American rapes.
Time Magazine reported in September 1945: "Our own army and the British army along with ours have done their share of looting and raping ... we too are considered an army of rapists."

Drayton argues that some British and Americans think they had a good war against Hitler, and that this gives then an ethical blank cheque.
Some of the British and Americans think that they now have the right to:
1. bomb
2. maim
3. imprison without trial.

Fascism had important Anglo-American roots.
1. In the British Empire there was ethnic cleansing and slave labour.
America's empire in Latin America had similarities with Japan's empire in Asia.
2. The British and Americans were key theorists of eugenics
(Sir Francis Galton wrote about selective breeding).
3. Racial segregation was normal in parts of the USA.
(The 1964 Civil Rights Act outlawed certain forms of discrimination)
3. The concentration camp was a British invention.
(Britain killed many thousands of Boer women and children in concentration camps in South Africa, between 1899 and 1902)
4. The British were the first to bomb civilians from the air.
For example, Bomber Harris bombed the Kurds in the 1920s.
5. British and US elites gave aid to the fascists.
President Bush's grandfather, prosecuted for "trading with the enemy" in 1942, was one of many powerful Anglo-Americans who helped Hitler.
6. The bombing of Dresden, filled with women and children, was one of many atrocities.
The allies tortured and murdered of captured soldiers.
Edgar Jones, an "embedded" Pacific war correspondent, wrote in 1946: "'We shot prisoners in cold blood, wiped out hospitals, strafed lifeboats, killed or mistreated enemy civilians, finished off the enemy wounded, tossed the dying into a hole with the dead, and in the Pacific boiled flesh off enemy skulls to make table ornaments."

1. In 1946, Project Paperclip secretly brought more than 1,000 Nazi scientists to the US.

4. Britain ran concentration camps in Kenya to crush the Mau Mau.
5. The Gestapo's torture techniques were given by the Americans to Latin American dictatorships in the 60s and 70s.

Blackburn's 'Mafia' helped Jack Straw win Blackburn?

Blackburn is the constituency of Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw, who is of Jewish origin.
Craig Murray, former UK amabassador to Uzbekistan, was a candidate in Blackburn.
Murray said of Blackburn: "This is very much a Labour rotten borough. There is a nexus of the police, the authorities and business - if we were in the Soviet Union, you would say mafia."
In the May 2002 local elections, a Blackburn city councillor - an Asian Muslim representing Labour - was jailed for rigging postal votes.
Around 25% of Blackburn voters are Muslim.
Now Muslims are saying they were bullied by mosque leaders and councillors to vote Labour.
One voter of Pakistani origin told The Independent that postal fraud in Blackburn was widespread. "It's worse than Birmingham."
Like other voters in Blackburn, the 57-year old Pakistani said Labour kept its hold through the mosque committee. "It is 100 per cent Labour. They control the mosque. They frighten the people."

William McRae & Hilda Murrell
Judith Cook wrote a book, 'Who Killed Hilda Murrell, Unlawful Killing', about the murder of anti-nuclear campaigner Hilda Murrell.
She quoted an "MI5 operative" who told her that Miss Murrell had indeed died after disturbing operatives searching the house. Two of the men had gone "berserk" and killed her.
Andrew George, a labourer from Shrewsbury, has now been given a life sentence for the Murrell murder. DNA evidence was used to convict George.
Police laboratories have been known to fake DNA evidence.

The AP reported that FBI lab technician Jacquelyn Blake quit while under investigation for failing to follow required scientific procedures while analyzing 103 DNA samples over the past couple of years, and a second lab employee was indicted for allegedly providing false testimony.

He suggested the official story did not add up. He said it stretched the imagination to breaking point to suppose that the body, dumped on the Wednesday, could have lain undiscovered until the following Saturday despite a search of the copse on the Thursday by a farmer and his dog. "The two would have had no problem finding a dead rabbit, let alone the body of Hilda Murrell," he said.

"There are many who claim William was killed by 'them' - the same 'them' that killed Hilda Murrell (the antinuclear campaigner murdered in 1984") Michael Strathan, friend of William McRae, quoted in the News on Sunday, 5th November 1987.
On April 6th 1985, a radical Scottish Nationalist lawyer, and former Vice-Chairman of the SNP (Scottish National Party) William McRae, was found shot in his car at a layby on the A87, north of Fort William, in the Highlands of Scotland.
McRae had told friends before his death that he believed he was under Special Branch surveillance, and that he was in danger as his "cover was blown" and because he was on a "hit list".
Like Hilda Murrell, McRae was opposed to the dumping of nuclear waste. Gary Murray, in his book Enemies of the State: A Sensational Exposé of the Security Services by a former MI5 Undercover Agent, describes McRae as the "most formidable opponent in Scotland" of the Nuclear industry.
At the time of his death, McRae was planning to take part in a public Enquiry into the processing of nuclear waste at Dounray
Apart from looking in detail at the death of McRae, the author Gary Murray, also investigated the death of Hilda Murrell, and found at least 14 similarities between them:

Real identity of 9 11 hijackers?

1. Atta and fellow 'hijacker' Alomeri were dressed in business suits, according to the ticket agent at the airport.
2. The surveillance photos don't match.
Michael Tuohey was the airline agent at the ticket and baggage check-in at the airport in Portland, Maine.
Tuohey curses himself for letting Mohammad Atta and Abdul-azziz Alomari, two of the alleged 19 hijackers, slip through his fingers at 5:40 a.m. on 9-11.
Tuohey remembered two clean-shaven Arab-looking businessmen with tickets in hand approaching his workstation, both looking elegant and wearing suits and ties.
He remembers they were running late for their flight as they presented prepaid, one-way tickets from Portland to Boston and then onto Los Angeles on Flight 11.
Looking back, he recalls nothing unusual about the alleged hijackers, saying both appeared calm, and the younger Alomari acting happy-go-lucky.
Tuohey's story recently came to public attention on national television as well as in an article in The Portland Press-Herald.
The government claims the surveillance photo released in the Portland airport conclusively shows Atta and Alomari walking through the security clearance gate about 100 yards away from where Tuohey checked the pair’s tickets and bags.
Critics contend that the photos are not a clear match of other independent mug shots released of Atta and Alomari.
These same critics claim Atta and Alomari never boarded the airplane.
In the surveillance photos the two men are dressed casually in shirts without suits and ties, and there was no white shawl over Alomari’s head.
“They left my workstation in suits and ties. I didn’t see them take their coats off,” recalls Tuohey.
Asked if a surveillance camera was posted by his workstation, he said he was told by the FBI on 9-11 that the video camera had been out of order for several weeks and no other pictures were available.
“I had worked there a long time and never knew the cameras were broken until I was told by the agents,” said Tuohey, adding they were installed by airport officials and not U.S. Airways.
An independent 9-11 researcher added:
"Atta and Alomari were conveniently captured on video cameras at three different locations in Portland the night before 9-11. Michael Tuohey was the airline agent at the ticket and baggage check-in at the airport in Portland, Maine.
Tuohey curses himself for letting Mohammad Atta and Abdul-azziz Alomari, two of the alleged 19 hijackers, slip through his fingers at 5:40 a.m. on 9-11.
Tuohey remembered two clean-shaven Arab-looking businessmen with tickets in hand approaching his workstation, both looking elegant and wearing suits and ties.
He remembers they were running late for their flight as they presented prepaid, one-way tickets from Portland to Boston and then onto Los Angeles on Flight 11.
Looking back, he recalls nothing unusual about the alleged hijackers, saying both appeared calm, and the younger Alomari acting happy-go-lucky.
Tuohey's story recently came to public attention on national television as well as in an article in The Portland Press-Herald.
The government claims the surveillance photo released in the Portland airport conclusively shows Atta and Alomari walking through the security clearance gate about 100 yards away from where Tuohey checked the pair’s tickets and bags.
Critics contend that the photos are not a clear match of other independent mug shots released of Atta and Alomari.
These same critics claim Atta and Alomari never boarded the airplane.
In the surveillance photos the two men are dressed casually in shirts without suits and ties, and there was no white shawl over Alomari’s head.
“They left my workstation in suits and ties. I didn’t see them take their coats off,” recalls Tuohey.
Asked if a surveillance camera was posted by his workstation, he said he was told by the FBI on 9-11 that the video camera had been out of order for several weeks and no other pictures were available.
“I had worked there a long time and never knew the cameras were broken until I was told by the agents,” said Tuohey, adding they were installed by airport officials and not U.S. Airways.
An independent 9-11 researcher added:

Raj Bannerji, in PressEsc, alleges that on 8 May 2005 police officers in the Blackburn constituency accused UK Foreign secretary Jack Straw of trying to meddle with the investigations into large-scale vote rigging carried out by Labour Party supporters.
Bannerji claims that "Mr. Straw was previously accused of perverting the course of justice during his tenure as Home Secretary to keep his son and brother out of jail."
The anonymous police officers "allege that supporters of Mr. Straw within the higher echelons of the force are hampering their investigations into allegations of postal vote fraud".
Allegedly the police officers found that at least three-quarters of the 20,351 postal vote applications in the constituency are bogus.
In 2002, Blackburn Labour councilor Muhammed Hussain was jailed for postal vote fraud in that years’ local elections.
This year, Conservative and Liberal Democrat candidates have complained about election fraud in Blackburn.
Independent candidate Craig Murray, former British ambassador to Uzbekistan, reportedly wrote to the Electoral Commission to tell them of widespread reports of vote rigging.
Mr. Straw said: “We had a terrific victory and the fact of the victory is down to the strength of the Blackburn Labour party.”
Allegedly one police officer said: “The strength he is referring to is not the electoral strength. It is the strength of the workers of his vote factory.”
The Foreign Secretary’s son William Straw faced criminal proceedings in 1998 after reportedly selling cannabis to an undercover reporter. He was let off with a caution by the police.
Jack Straw’s brother was convicted of indecently assaulting a school girl in 2000. He escaped prison after paying a 'nominal' fine.
It was alleged in both cases that the then Home Secretary Straw used his powers to pervert the course of justice and members of the public petitioned the Parliamentary Commissioner For Standards In Public Life to conduct an impartial investigation into the matter.
No action has been taken against Mr. Straw regarding the allegations to date.

He called it "a brazen conspiracy to steal the election".

In Hereford, there were delays in sending out postal ballot papers.
In Havant, Hampshire, voters were sent ballot papers for the parliamentary election which said: “Do not vote for more than two candidates.” Ballots will be void if people vote for more than one candidate.
In Michael Meacher’s Oldham West and Royston constituency, more than 2,500 duplicate postal votes were printed and sent out a week after the originals were dispatched. The duplicates were posted by the printers without informing election officials.
In Macclesfield and Tatton, more than 2,000 postal votes have failed to arrive and the acting returning officer has ordered a reissue. Some of the duplicate packs were delivered by hand yesterday but some householders admitted that they had received two.

Britain's most intelligent voters live in Tower Hamlets.
George Galloway, the anti-war Respect candidate took the Tower Hamlets seat from Labour's pro-war Oona King with a swing of 38 per cent.
Respect performed well in East and West Ham, forming a new political power in East London.
The anti-war SNP gained two seats from Labour in the Western Isles and Dundee East.
The anti-war Green Party increased its share of the vote nationwide in nearly all the seats it contested. Their biggest gain was in the Brighton Pavilion seat.
Independent candidate Richard Taylor retained his Kidderminster seat.
Peter Law was also returned to Westminster as an independent MP for Blaenau Gwent.
In Medway, anti-war Labour candidate Bob Marshall-Andrews was the winner.
The anti-war Liberal Democrats have gained at least 11 seats from Labour and 3 from the Conservatives.

The UK's quasi-neocons and quisling right

Geoffrey Wheatcroft, in the 5 May 2005 Guardian, argues that the UK Conservative Party needs to rethink the US alliance and speak for England. Wheatcroft suggests that the Iraq invasion was not popular with Conservative voters.
It was only popular with "the quasi-neocons and quisling right who dominate the Tory press, as well as the Tory leadership."
Wheatcroft tells us that George MacDonald Fraser, on the Today programme, related that he had never in his life felt more ashamed of his country than he had over Iraq.
He could not get out of his head two pictures, one of a small Iraqi boy with his arms blown off by American bombs, and another of our prime minister smirking sycophantically at President Bush's side.
Wheatcroft refers to the "high Tory" Charles Moore, who writes in the Daily Telegraph that Blair deserves to win because of his brave determination to ‘maintain our most important alliance’? New Labour Shows its Fascist Credentials

New labour now infest their government with cronies whose only qualifications are either as Blair’s landlord, flatmate, or moneylenders like millionaire MP Geoffrey Robinson, who provides luxury holiday homes to Blair , as well as furtive mortgage loans to the new labour dilettante Peter Mandeleson...
Now in what must be the final death knell of New labours claim to be labour, is the unbelievable move into the Cabinet of a 36 year old woman who has no record of service or achievement with any labour party new or old... So step forward Ruth Kelly ... member of Opus Dei ... condemned by leading Catholic theologians for its links with Fascism, particularly in Italy...
A further mystery is how a strict Catholic like Ms Kelly could enthusiastically vote for the bloodbath now unfolding daily in Iraq, causing the needless deaths of tens of thousands of innocent civilians, as well as our own servicemen and women. How does she square this with her version of Christianity ?
Does this, and the Blair plan for ID cards, the clampdown on those claiming sickness or disability benefits , and the obsession of declaring war on other countries: strike a cord. Yes, Hitler followed the same policies during his march to power, without people realising what came next.
There is no difference in Britain today. We seem to be sleep walking into a tyrannical state.
Blair’s closest political buddies are George Bush from the far right, and Italy’s Silvio Berlosconi a neo fascist leader, and multi millionaire. The type who keep the poor firmly in their place. Evidence shows Blair is right behind them on that one !
Do any local new labourites need any further proof that the Labour voters they cynically exploit are really being led by the nearest we’ve ever been to a Fascist government in Britain.
New labourites in Kirkby don’t seem to know what socialism ,democracy, and labour actually stand for, if any of you do, please let us know - it might even “enlighten“ our readers !

UK: the myth of Labour’s economic success

With the polls showing a big drop in support for both Labour and the Conservatives in Scotland, the SNP are in a strong position to win at least the following seats, especially if there is tactical voting:
Dumfries and Galloway (where the Labour vote has slumped)
Ochil and South perthshire
Na H-Eileanan An Iar (Western Isles)
If there is tactical voting in Dumfries and Galloway, the Conservatives may win no seats in Scotland.

BP in bed with the killers in Indonesia?
In the Guardian, 3 May 2005, George Monbiot writes about West Papua (the Indonesian part of New Guinea) where BP is soon to start developing a gas field.
West Papua had been ruled by the Dutch as part of the Dutch East Indies. In 1962 JF Kennedy told the Dutch that West Papua must not become independent; instead it must be handed over to Indonesia. Kennedy wanted to keep in with the Indonesians.
The US agreed that eventually the UN would hold a referendum in which "all adult Papuans have the right to participate", but, the referendum would be rigged.
Monbiot writes:
"So instead of a referendum in which "all adult Papuans" participated, in 1969 the UN oversaw a rather different process:
"1,022 men were selected by Indonesian soldiers, taught the words 'I want Indonesia', then lined up at gunpoint.
"One man who refused to say his lines was shot.
"Others were threatened with being dropped out of helicopters.
"This rigorous democratic exercise resulted in a unanimous vote for Indonesian rule."
A report by academics at Yale Law School concludes that there is "a strong indication that the Indonesian government has committed genocide against the West Papuans".
According to human rights groups, around 100,000 Papuans have been killed by Indonesia.
According to Monbiot, "the armed forces have bombed, napalmed and strafed tribal villages and tortured and murdered their people.
"The government has sought to wipe out Papuan culture through forced assimilation and mass immigration. The purpose of these schemes, according to a former governor of West Papua, was to "give birth to a new generation of people without curly hair, sowing the seeds for greater beauty".
Indonesia's genocidal intent is undimmed. Today, villages in the Papuan highlands are still being burnt out by soldiers, and their people killed or forced to flee into the forest.
According to BP, the Indonesian government has started granting autonomy to the Papuan people.
Monbiot points out:
"It has done no such thing. It has failed to implement the "special autonomy" laws it passed, and instead has divided the nation into three regions, controlled directly by Jakarta. When the Papuans tried to set up their own assembly - the Papuan presidium council - its chairman, Theys Eluay, was murdered by the army. The Indonesian government is currently flying in an extra 15,000 troops. In the last few weeks the repression has intensified...
"In March the Indonesian army was accused by the head of the West Papua Baptist Church of stealing $267,000 of aid destined for West Papua. How confident can we be that the money from the gas project won't go the same way?
BP is training local people to guard its plant.

Sir Edward Grey was the foreign Secretary in the Liberal government in Britain in 1914.
According to Webster Tarpley, in The American Almanac, March, 1995, "Sir Edward Grey Turned The Sarajevo Crisis Into War."
Tarpley claims that Grey used ‘perfidy and cunning’ to bring about a world war after the assassination of the heir to the throne of the Austro-Hungar Archduke Franz Ferdinand on June 28, 1914 in Sarajevo, Bosnia.
According to Tarpley, if Sir Edward Grey had wanted to avoid war, he could have warned France and Russia that Britain would remain neutral. Russia was unlikely to go to war without the support of Britain.
The kaiser apparently thought that if England did not fight, France and Russia were unlikely to do so either.
