A Guarani - Website for this image

The Guaraní people live in the area where Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay converge.

Much of what was originally Guaraní territory has been destroyed, or is threatened, by large-scale soy and sugar cane production and various other forms of commercial farming.

According to Survival International:

In 1983, Marçal de Souza Tupã-y, renowned Guarani advocate of indigenous rights, was shot dead at his home by gunmen reportedly linked to a local rancher.

In 2001, the young Guarani Kaiowá Samuel Martin was killed by gunmen during the reoccupation of his community of Ka’a Jari in Coronel Sapucaia municipality.

On 13th January 2003, the internationally renowned Guarani Kaiowá leader, Marcos Verón, was beaten to death by gunmen working for a local rancher, in front of family members after he led his community’s reoccupation to Takuara in Juti municipality.

On 24th December 2005, nine days after the eviction of Guarani from Nanderu Marangatu, 39 year-old Guarani activist Dorvalino Rocha was shot and killed by a private security guard employed by ranchers.

Following the attempted reoccupation of their land by the community of Kurusu Mba in 2007, community leader Kuretê Lopes was assassinated. Ortiz Lopes and Osvaldo Lopes, also leaders of the community, were assassinated on 8th June 2007 and 30th May 2009 respectively.

Nobody has been tried or convicted for these killings...



The day after their return to their ancestral land of Ypo’i on 29th October 2009, a group of Guarani was attacked by gunmen.

Ten days later the body of Genivaldo Verá, a member of the group, was found dead and bruised in a nearby river.

At the time of writing, a second Guarani man, Rolindo Verá, is still missing and it is feared that he too has been killed.

On 25th November 2009, the approximately 250 Guarani Kaiowá who had returned to their ancestral land of Kurusu Mba, were attacked by ranchers who approached the community in ten trucks and fired gunshots.

The body of Osmair Martins Ximenes, a teenager of Kurusu Mba, was found beaten up on 16th December. It is suspected that his killing is directly related to the community’s recent return to their land.

Honduran Farmers Slaughtered In Name Of Global Warming

23 farmers in Honduras were slaughtered in cold blood by hired mercenaries as they tried to protect their land from being seized by a corporation who wanted to use the land to produce biofuels as part of a United Nations-accredited EU carbon trading scheme.

"Protests erupted in July when six international human rights advocacy groups presented a report to the EP detailing what they called murders and forced evictions of peasants in El Bajo Aguán Valley of northern Honduras," reports the New American.'

Under Gaddafi, education was free and the literacy rate was high.

On 5 October 2011, the New York Times reports on schools in Libya:

1. The New York Times reporter visited the Dawn of Freedom middle school.

"The classrooms ... were empty."

The neighborhood, Abu Salim, supports Gaddafi.

2. The new York Times notes "etchings inscribed by students in dozens of desks."

The etchings are pro-Muammar-Gaddafi.

For example: "God and Muammar and Libya and that's all" and "Down, down Sarkozy".

3. The school was hit by NATO and has "walls pierced by artillery shells."

4. At the empty Anniversary of the Revenge High School, "shards of glass from windows shattered by a NATO bombing littered a classroom floor."

A student, Mahmoud Najem, 17, said "Most of the boys want Qaddafi".

5. At the Abdulrahman bin Aouf elementary school a teacher "delivered a lecture on the significance of Feb. 17, the day Libyans consider the start of their latest revolution...

"The young students ... stared back blankly."

6. At the Sayyida Zeinab school, "children had refused to sing the new national anthem, and someone had torn the school's official new flag.

"They’re still loyal to him," said Ms. Ramadan, referring to Gaddafi.

A Mr. Ashtar said: "So many schools were destroyed."



According to the Washington Post, it is not just NATO that has wrecked schools.

Supporters of the new government have been attacking schools.

"The Tareq Abu Zeyad middle school lies in ruins.

"Villagers in this isolated, dusty hamlet in Libya's western mountains say revolutionary forces carried out the attack last week to avenge their past support for Moammar Gaddafi."

On 3 September 2011 we are told that Megrahi has spoken to Reuters about Lockerbie.

The media has translated 'Megrahi's words' into English.

The media claims that Megrahi said: "The west exaggerated my name."

A better translation would be "The west misrepresented me."

The media has turned this into misleading headlines such as Megrahi says his Lockerbie role exaggerated (Reuters)

'Megrahi' says: "I didn't harm anyone. I've never harmed anyone in my life."

At no point does Megrahi say that he played any role in Lockerbie.

He called his trial under Scottish jurisdiction a farce.

"Camp Zeist court is the smallest place on earth that contains the largest number of liars. I suffered from the liars at Camp Zeist court more than you can imagine," he said.

The Qataris were the first foreign military on the ground providing military training.

Qatar provided air support.

The Qatari military are trained by British and French forces.


Qatar's Al-Jazeera TV played its part in helping the CIA and its friends topple the regimes of Ben Ali in Tunisia and Mubarak in Egypt.

Now Al-Jazeera is helping the CIA and its friends against Syria.

Let's look at some history:

8. Jibril has personal relationships with almost all the Arab and Southeast Asian leaders.

Jibril has created trading companies, including one dealing with Malaysian and Australian timber in partnership with his French friend, Bernard-Henri Levy.

9. Jibril has studied in the USA and he is a member of the the Muslim Brotherhood.

10. With Jibril as prime minister of the rebel government of Libya, "the height of duplicity was reached when a replica of the Green Square and Bab-el-Azizia was built in the studios of Al-Jazeera in Doha, where footage of false images was shot portraying pro-US 'insurgents' entering Tripoli."

Al-Jazeera and Sky News broadcasted these fake images.

MAATHAI VERSUS THE IMF AND WORLD BANK

Professor Wangari Maathai (Nobel laureate and environment‎alist) was born in the central highlands of Kenya in 1940.

Back in the 1940s, her small village had clean water, rich soils, rich forests and plenty of food.

"It was heaven. We wanted for nothing," she said.

"Now the forests have come down, the land has been turned to commercial farming, the tea plantations keep everyone poor, and the economic system does not allow people to appreciate the beauty of where they live."

Maathai said: "After my education by the nuns, I emerged as a person who believed that society is inherently good and that people generally act for the best."

Maathai won a scholarship to study in the US, as part of the 'Kennedy airlift' in which 300 Kenyans - including Barack Obama’s father - were chosen to study at American universities in 1960.

After further study in Germany, she returned to a newly independent Kenya in 1966.

Her early work as a vet took her to some of Kenya's poorest areas.

She saw first-hand the damage that was being done to the environment.

In 1977, she set up the Green Belt movement.

She became critical of politicians in Kenya, the World Bank, the IMF, Britain and other former colonial powers.

What began as a few women planting trees became a network of 600 community groups.

They looked after 6,000 tree nurseries, which were often supervised by disabled and mentally ill people in the villages.

In Kenya, the Green Belt movement has become an agricultural advice service, a community regeneration project and a job-creation plan.

INDIA DOES NOT WANT HEADLEY

The government of India would appear not to want to get its hands on David Headley.

David Headley is the American 'CIA agent' who has admitted to planning the 2008 Mumbai attacks, and who is suspected of being involved in other acts of terrorism.

On 4 September 2011 we read that 'India's National Security Advisor, MK Narayanan, secretly suggested that the Indian government was not keen on Headley's extradition from the USA to India'

Publicly, India has pressed for Headley's extradition from the USA.

Privately, Narayanan suggested to the American Ambassador, in December 2009, that the Indian government was actually not keen on the extradition.

In a leaked cable to the US State Department, on 17 December 2009, then Ambassador Timothy J Roemer said that Narayanan had told him on the subject of Headley's extradition that it was 'difficult not to be seen making the effort,' but that the government was not seeking extradition 'at this time.'

Roemer explained to Narayanan that "If Headley were convicted, an extradition request by India would not be considered until his sentence in the USA was fully served, which could be decades, if ever."



There is a suspicion that elements of the Indian security services and police were involved with Headley in planning the Mumbai attacks and other terrorist attrocities.

It has been reported that the Mumbai suspect Ajmal Kasab "was interrogated by Headley."

Kasab says Headley, who is alleged to be a CIA agent, interrogated him, with four whitemen, in his cell at the Mumbai police custody after he was captured.

On 30 September 2011, the Yemen government announced the 'death' of Anwar Al-Awlaki, believed to be an agent of the CIA.

"It is not clear yet whether the airstrike was by Yemeni air force or by US drone."

The 'death' was swiftly confirmed by US officials.

The US officials claim that the military unit involved in the reportedly fake death of Osama bin Laden was also involved in the 'death' of Al-Awlaki.

Anwar Al-Awlaki was born in the USA.

He earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering at Colorado State University.

He was once a chaplain at George Washington University.

He is most likely an agent of the CIA.



On 21st October 2010, it was reported that Al Qaeda's Anwar Al-Awlaki was 'invited to the Pentagon for lunch after 9 11'.

In 1996 and in 1997, Al-Awlaki was arrested in San Diego for soliciting prostitutes.[14][38][58][59]

Al-Awlaki studied at George Washington University which is known for having close ties to the intelligence community. (Anwar al-Awlaki and 'CIA Islam')

Fox News says it has documents revealing how Anwar Al-Awlaki, a top man in al Qaeda, met high-ranking US military personnel just months after the 9 11 atrocities.

According to the documents, Awlaki was taken to the U.S. Department of Defense's headquarters, to have lunch, in the immediate aftermath of the 9 11 attacks.

Awlaki is of Yemeni descent.

Awlaki has links to three 'hijackers', Nawaf al-Hazmi, Khalid al-Mihdhar and Hani Hanjour who were allegedly aboard Flight 77 that 'crashed into the Pentagon'.

He was said to have inspired the alleged Fort Hood shooter Major Nidal Malik Hasan.

In Yemen, he is said to have met with the 'Christmas Day bomber' Farouk Abdulmutallab.

Allegedly, Awlaki "was killed in a strike on his convoy directed by the CIA and carried out with the U.S. Joint Special Operations Command's firepower, according to a counterterrorism official."

The Yemen government was the first to report that Awlaki had been killed.

Al-Awlaki is a US citizen, who had not been charged with any crime.

Civil liberties groups have questioned the government's authority to kill an American without trial.

Al-Awlaki served as imam at the Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, Va., a Washington suburb, for about a year in 2001.

Its inhabitants have been forced to flee from the anti-Gaddafi forces.

Tawargha is a town of smashed windows, looted shops, and buildings damaged by gunfire.

2. The anti-Gaddafi forces have covered the walls with graffiti threatening the people of Tawargha.

3. Former residents say their homes in Tawargha have been burned and that people have been abducted and disappeared.

4. Thanks to NATO, much of Tawargha is in ruins.

11. A fish trader who was leaving Sirte, told AFP: "There is no food, there is no medicine, and every night, for five or six hours, NATO bombs all sorts of buildings."

12. Sami Abderraman, 64, told the Spanish daily El Pais as he sought to leave Sirte: “Hundreds of women and children have died like animals."

Abderraman estimated that as many as 3,000 people have been killed in the siege.

14. Ali Omar, who fled the Sirte, said that the anti-Gaddafi forces "are exterminating everything in front of them."

15. The anti-Gaddafi NTC has repeatedly failed to carry through announced plans to form an interim government and has seen its authority come under fire from Islamist militia elements.

16. Since launching the war on Libya last March, NATO has conducted 24,140 sorties, including 9,010 strike sorties, leaving much of the country in ruins and thousands killed and wounded.
