1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Jesus only preached for 3 years. He was not “educated” and honored by the elite of his time. He was plain spoken and chose his disciples from the common people. Jesus gave us a religion of the people, by the people and for the people. He taught us how to live as His followers and to bring light, love and truth into this dark and deceitful world. He died at age 33 and yet when He rose again, it was such a powerful act that the calendars were actually changed and started from the time of His birth. He brought the Kingdom of God to the earth. He only had 70 or so followers when he died and they were pretty pathetic. Then they were filled with the Holy Spirit and 2000 years later they are still trying to kill us off and we are still growing in numbers.

I started on the road to Christianity at age 11 and went to church, was baptized and taught Sunday School and Bible School in the Methodist Church. But then I got confused by watching the people in leadership say one thing and do another. My Mother had decided to go back to college and she was telling me that they were teaching her that everything was around before Christ and he actually brought nothing to the table that was new.

I spent the next 25 years studying new age everything and the world religions and anything I could find that might be better than Christianity. I would take each new thing as if it was true and delve into it until it would just fall apart. I believe that if something is true it will stand up to every test.

I am 76 now and I came back to God in total humility in December 1991. I promised Him that I would read the Bible and that if I did not understand it, then I would assume it was because I needed to grow more instead of thinking He was wrong. That decision changed my life entirely. All of the things I looked for in the world fell apart. All the answers I had been looking for are in the New Testament. His word still stands and grows in me all the time. This 25 years has been the most difficult in my life. My daughter, son, mother, father, husband and brother died and Jesus required me to take care of them daily for years at a time while they were sick and to do it with love and patience. My business partner of 6 1/2 years died. My dog even died. I have 1 granddaughter who lives 2500 miles away, her husband and my 3 Great Grandchildren are the only family that I have left. I have a new dog now. For the most part, I spend my days alone. The interesting thing is that I never feel alone at all. Christ is sufficient and I have learned so much and grown so much during this time that I could never tell the story because it is so long and involved.

I am still learning and growing. I know that God has a purpose and a plan for my life and that He uses all things for good no matter how much they hurt at the time. The things that have happened to me have made me who I am today.

If you believe that all religions are the same, ask yourself why the primary focus of genocide is focused on eliminating Christians. That is happening all over the world. We don’t try to force Christianity on anyone because it is not ours to give. I can love you with all my heart, pray for you every day and every hour and if it is not in you to be a Christian, I have to just leave that in God’s hands, love you, take care of you and hope that by some miracle you changed your belief before you died.

We die once and then the judgement. God is our judge and nothing will ever be more fair or kind than his judgement. He knows everything about us and he knows what we went through and why we did what we did. We all fail and fall short of the Glory of God but He loves us and judges us with lovingkindness, justice and mercy.

I don’t go to church because I have been through so much that it sort of frightens people that they might have to go through what I have gone through and I am intense in my belief in God. It is not up for compromise.

I did not mean to write a book here but it is very difficult to explain in a few sentences.
