The Boers were Dutch, German and French colonists who began settling in South Africa in 1650. When Gold and diamonds were discovered in their country, Cecil Rhodes staged a border incident and invaded. The RHODES War lasted from June 1901 to May 1902. Over 28,000 Afrikaners died in British POW camps, over 20,000 blacks also died in Rhodes camps. Rhodes group, “DeBeers” has a near monopoly on diamonds, one of the most over valued fake products on the market. War correspondent and cheerleader for the Rhodes War was Winston Churchill, who was later the First Lord of the Admiralty and directed the sinking of the Lusitania.
