I was a Kiwi doing my OE ( overseas experience ), had flown into Kennedy airport on 4 th July that yr , meeting my penpal of 5 yrs, being walked down Broadway was our first date, unforgettable Magic times, the social atmosphere was palpable even though we didn’t get to Woodstock, something of its essence infused us both as I learnt more about your wonderful country. Went to Philadelphia and viewed the fabulous Constitution For America and now realising with profound pain the undermining of its integrity. This Boomer is proud to continue carrying that Joani Mitchel song ‘to get back to the garden’ as we drain the swamp for all the worlds’ benefit.
