Fought and died for a Constitution was handed down to us. A simple document every man should have the knowledge to understand.
For 244 years lawyers and politicians have done everything in their power to manipulate and confuse the meanings of the words contained in it, to the point where hundred of thousands laws, executive orders, decrees and policies have been placed over top of the original intent. By design to blanket the original document with if and or buts, where no man has the abilities to decipher it themselves.
While reading through the ruling by SCOTUS on the first amendment it’s clear they never really resort to the actual document in their rulings. They never really consider the Constitution because it’s buried under 244 years of case law manipulations.
45 simple words in our first amendment:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Not one if and or but, no exceptions or clauses, simple and easy to understand. Yet here we are, in a intentionally built land of confusion, created by word manipulations. By design so that lawyers and judges have created a situation where their services will be required in every case.
Somehow we have to return to the simplicity of the original document or this confusion will ultimately be the end of this republic.
