I understand what the effort is about, and I applaud. I merely point out that a few easily penned Executive Orders, analogous to Roosevelt’s EO 6102 of 1933, can entirely upend this effort, and do so very much to the benefit of the parties it seeks to gain leverage over.

Directives in the major silver-producing nations restricting the sale of silver to industrial buyers would effectively fix the price of silver at whatever price industrial buyers are willing to pay.

Possibly, that price would reflect a significantly devalued US $. But there’s no guarantee in advance that it would, or that private individuals currently holding silver would be able to sell at a premium over what they originally paid. The awareness of this eventuality is one of the factors that long has curbed the eagerness of prospective silver bugs – myself among them.

PS: Petroleum products, in recent years have very often transacted at far below their real production cost. The difference gets passed along as debt, in one form or another. Key industrial metals presumably can do the same, if government and the banksters want them to.

In reply to Sabina Pade. Silver bugs aren't depriving the industry of metals. Industry needs to PAY MARKET VALUE for silver and stop the JP Morgan Chase rigging. Plus, we want to remove silver from the hands of the globalshits who need to have this metal for their evil technologies like the Green New Deal, 5G, and Atlas robots. Although a silver squeeze can have a significant short-term effect on banks and on the price of silver, I think silver bugs should be wary of imagining they can deprive industry of the metal for a sustained period of time. The world’s governments, most of which are under the control of the banksters, can commandeer production, and direct it to wherever they please.

Emergency directives to this effect are probably already waiting to be signed. If these directives are followed by directives disallowing the sale of silver to non-industrial buyers, the silver bugs will be left holding a fantastic precious metal that is impossible to transact at a profit.

Essentially the same can be said of gold. Forget about fair market price, or a durable hedge against inflation. Governments – banksters – will sooner destroy the private citizens holding the metal than they will allow themselves to be destroyed by them. And because the bulk of the citizenry, outside of India, holds relatively little gold, they are unlikely to encounter the widespread outrage that, for example, an attempt at gun confiscation here in the US would arouse.
