My retirement from this writing is already a car crash.
I want to stop, but necessity and the ongoing situation that's unfolding won't allow me too.

And I have too much time on my hands. So it's very hard to leave this alone.
Yeah. Recent content that I've been producing has proved to be very taxing and disturbing. I've crunched through and exposed myself to so much data over the last 10 years. It is tough not to get fatigued by it all and it must have some sort of detrimental effect.

I'm not totally out of this writing yet, so we'll just have to see what happens.

My error was in attempting to use that particular channel (Q etc.) for my own purposes. Trying to use it to expand my own readership. Anyway, it's all old news now.

Rereading some of the assertions made by Michael J. Anderson in 2015, I remember discussing with you what he said in regards to Jennifer, but I must have initially missed the stuff about David putting a hit out on Jack Nance, if that is who Anderson meant. I don’t know how he knows the things he suggested, how he could keep working with Lynch if he believed them to be true, or why he waited so long to say anything. Supposedly, it has something to do with him not getting the money he wanted for reprising the role of The Arm, and he does come off as rather bitter, compared to how he used to talk about David. Even when he told of the time he was riding around in Lynch’s car, and David pulled to the side to let an obnoxious tailgater pass. According to Anderson, after he said to Lynch, “You’re a better man than I am!” David responded with, “No, I'm not! I wanted to destroy that guy, but I haven't got the time for it.”

Of course, like plenty of good discourse on the web, that first talk we had on the topic is now scrubbed out, though I do recall both of us agreeing on it being a cause for concern whenever somebody says Lolita is one of their favorite films. It’s doubly concerning to hear Lynch say how much he likes “that world” and the idea of the Humbert character leading a secret life, in light of all the evidence you have arranged here. I would also add how David Lynch agreed to have his name attached to Terry Zwigoff’s documentary on cartoonist R. Crumb, whose relationship with his own daughter Sophie can be seen as questionable as David’s relationship with Jennifer. I knew you were going to call it with that Amityville Horror sequel with the incestuous sodomy scene, which was not in the source novel. The so-called Italian Hitchock Argento’s Suspiria is easier to acknowledge now as an influence on Carpenter, from where Halloween likely picks up some of the perverted voyeurism aspects. The Shape’s knife representing an erection could be something taken from Night of the Hunter, wherein Robert Mitchum’s character’s switchblade springs open through his pocket whenever he’s aroused. Night of the Hunter has had a fair share of effect on plenty of directors, David Lynch included, no question.

Derek 'BLUE' Jarman. No surprise that he was linked to Horn's (homo) Pet Shop (Rent) Boys. He made the pop videos for PSB's 'It's A (Sodom) Sin' (linked to A Clockwork Queer Orange), and 'RENT' in 1987. A famous COTTAGE (in DUNG-eness) is linked to him. He came thru (unsurprisngly) as a production designer via The Devils and Ken 'Uber Queen' Russell. He was also video and musically involved with the (sodom punk) QUEENING Sex 'Bollocks' Pistols. Top work, Bingo. L'Arroseur Arrosé (1895) and the opening of Blue Velvet. L'ar-ROSE-ur arROSE. The BV opening (fire hose truck) and the ROSE. The Waterer Watered, The Sprinkler Sprinkled. It's really tough not seeing the Freudian psycho-sexual aspects of that Lumiere short. The phallic hose, the spraying in the face - the boy then 'spanked' via the buttocks. The short is also known as The Gardener. We can only speculate as to whether the 'uphill' variety is being suggested. I already wonder whether the Lumiere Bros. were homosexuals. It would make sense. Just about everyone in the industry seems to be - or at least aligned. Neither brother appears to have married and/or had children. That said, their presence was brief, but impactful. Lynch also had a thing with 'pipes' and Jacques Tati. Seen in Wild at Heart and Mulholland Drive. In MD it's used via the hooker and 'pinks sausage' - linked to the (phallic Oz and BUM connected) Winkies hitman.

I'm totally sold on the whole (homo) closet scene in BV. The father/son double references to spraying/sprinkling via a hose/nozzle and both linked to bugs. Father via the garden - son via Oz Dorothy's apt and the closet. The father literally 'stroking' (top work again, Bingo) via the phallic hose and suggestive spurting water. Easy 'chopper' Rider, Blue 'closet' Velvet, Hopper. His early links to (Hollywood rent boy) James Dean are well known. De Laurentis, linked to King's Maximum Overdrive (as you mention) is also a factor with both Blue Velvet and (King's) Cat's Eye. This is why a mannequin from the film Cat's Eye is seen in the Blue Velvet 'Ben scene'. It's sitting on a sofa at the back. Uber homo Ben and his 'sandman' song. The JUNK linked cat (pussy) and eye. Now it’s me who gets to correct a Bobby mix-up on my part. It’s Bobby Sherman that my mother once told me she had a schoolgirl crush on, not Bobby Darin. Too many Bobbys to keep up.

In an 1986 interview, when discussing the making of Maximum Overdrive —the trailer for which uses Carpenter & Howarth’s Halloween III music, probably because, like Blue Velvet, it is a D. Laurent is Entertainment Group production— Stephen King mentions asking David Lynch about crossing the 180 degree axis. “‘What's this about crossing the axis?’ and he (Lynch) burst out laughing and said, ‘That always gets me.’ And I asked if you could do it, and he gave me this startled look and said, ‘Stephen, you can do anything. You're the director.’ Then he paused and said, ‘But it doesn't cut together.’”

I went looking for this quote in an old college textbook where I thought I first saw it, and instead found a couple of interesting paragraphs in the chapter dealing with the second wave of avant-garde film.
“Anger’s work was also to prove prophetic, though in a different way. After spending the 1950s in Europe where he made the strangely baroque Eaux d’artifice (1953) and started work on other projects, he returned to America where he made a surprising (and for him unique) turn to contemporary life—vividly mythologized—in Scorpio Rising (1964), a response to the new rock and youth culture he found there after his fifteen-year absence. This heralded for Anger an imminent Luciferian age, whose symbols were encoded in the narcissistic rites of the ‘bike boy’ cult. Above all, and preceded only by Bruce Conner’s Cosmic Ray (1961), the sound-track is made up of contemporary rock music (including ‘Blue Velvet’, later the title for a film by David Lynch). So, today I learned how Bruce Conner, the man Dennis Hopper referred to as “the most important artist of the 20th century”, provided the forerunners for what we know as music videos.
Thanks to that old textbook of mine, a few pages after the part I quoted, I also happened to stumble upon a picture of what instantly reminded me of Jeffrey’s father in Blue Velvet. It was a picture of a re-enactment of the first movie to depict a fictional story, L'Arroseur Arrosé (1895), a mean-spirited comedy from the Lumière bros. With his contribution to Lumière et compagnie (1995) there is no way is David Lynch unfamiliar.

Every single time I start to get my notes in order and double-check something, a new bit of info grabs my attention and sends me off on another disorganized tangent. Sooner and sooner, it actually turns out to be right on target, constantly arriving at the same conclusion: Satanic media’s inversion of reality desires to make any witness to its madness wicked gay.

Michael J. Anderson said some really damning stuff about Lynch (in recent years). He wasn't a part of the reboot. I think we've mentioned it before. In the Blue Velvet script the Dorothy and Oz link is more heavily implied. 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' (feintly heard) via the apartment roof, but not in the film. Oz Dorothy also describes Jeffrey as her 'friend' and/or 'special friend' (in the film) - and we all know what that is suggesting. There's more about the father having a brain disease too. "He put his disease in me" - Dorothy via her 'closet friend' - she's implying his 'semen' (disease). Jeffrey blows-out the brains of Frank at the close and via the closet. Jeff's father recovers at the end of the script/film. Lynch originally wanted Frank's gas to be helium, but was talked out of it. The high-pitched and childlike sounds would (imo) only heighten the subliminal incest aspects even further. It sure is fucked-up stuff - looking at it in this way.
