Having looked at your newer pages, I see that those are working just fine. I mention this because, as you have taken the time to include them, I would like to take the time to view them. These blogs of yours have provided a lot of content in the conversations I am having lately. Fascinating correlations and observations as always. I am still slowly getting through them. And thanks to Uncle Bingo too, for your comments as well.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01557975803713046242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6076855809263297950.post-84435700628818670442014-11-09T22:26:59.904+00:002014-11-09T22:26:59.904+00:00Hey Bingo...that McConaughey 'Car commercial&#...Hey Bingo...that McConaughey 'Car commercial' is a great example of the subliminal...it is obvious that Osiris is being implied (especially via the Osiris-Apis Bull)...I've put the ad on part 2 of this post. Spoorloos is a total classic, it's called The Vanishing (english)...Bridges featured in the inferior Hollywood version. I'll have a look out for True Dectective too. Have a good one...thanks for the Osiris car commercial...a great find and respect to Enterthe5t4rz too! I never caught the car ad (I'm not US based, so can easily miss these things). Catch you later! :-)Horselover Phathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05166435780296983828noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6076855809263297950.post-26656764099836337932014-11-09T18:25:15.819+00:002014-11-09T18:25:15.819+00:00No surprises here at your not being much of a TV W...No surprises here at your not being much of a TV Watcher. I tend to be a finicky fogey myself when it comes to "entertainment"/ entrainment, with fortified adblockage stationed high and low, and digital terrestrial TV wholly proscribed in the home. I like to use a very selective screening process to give more significance to whatever makes it through, and then I usually follow up on any leads by connections or recommendations. Makes it feel like the stuff finds me more than I find it. For instance, it was notably fortuitous to discover the Matthew McConaughey Osiris car commercial when I did, because it would never have popped up if it wasn't for a timely video analysis by Enterthe5t4rz, whose YouTube channel I happily found through your blog. It's also BIG thanks to you I now have The Singing Detective to savor :)
So please allow me to return the favor by highly recommending True Detective. It has some pretty sharp-witted writing, a resourceful soundtrack, and an appreciable list of good influences. Ranks right up there with both Spoorloos and Sorcerer; two other heaven-sents I discovered only recently and would also gladly endorse as a longtime Lynch fan and Hitchcock aficionado. Take your time with it, and definitely watch North by Northwest beforehand. I'll do my best to compile my notes in the meantime, perhaps start up a blog of my own so you can go through some of the various tidbits I've picked up on, like the incongruous small print of this newspaper.
http://i.imgur.com/oCy8cSa.png
Cheers!μncle βingohttp://www.jackulator.com/smf/index.php?topic=5839.0noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6076855809263297950.post-58683404349264189062014-11-06T19:43:11.306+00:002014-11-06T19:43:11.306+00:00Best of luck with your convalescence re: the foot....Best of luck with your convalescence re: the foot. Great stuff on Cary Grant and North by Northwest (which I've barely seen tbh) and now I'll have to have a look at that film, but in detail, of course. It defintely is no hardship though, seeing as it is Hitchcock. I do know that Cary liked to drop LSD tabs (allegedly fairly often), but that is probably common knowledge. You mention McConaughey's Texas Chainsaw turn and I do remember his robot leg thing in that, I recall his leg going loco at one point (of course, he connects to 'hanged man' Jackson via Omar Noose & A Time To Kill). Chainsaw 4, a very strange film imo and I actually thought it was a misogynists wet dream tbh...terrible violence agianst women etc, but I digress. McConaughey (Palmer Joss in Zemeckis' Contact) is a decent & versatile actor...I'll look out for the True Detective thing, but I am not much of a TV watcher period (which may surprise) and there are literally no shows/series that I actually watch etc. My idea of quality TV is Dennis Potter's The Singing Detective...but those days are sadly long gone.

Rear Window...yes, an absolute stone cold classic imo, one of my Hitchcock favs. Jimmy Stewart is an interesting character in the greater scheme...Lynch being 'the Jimmy Stewart from Mars', with a rabbit fetish and a large 'angels' motif...Jimmy Stewart, a giant talking rabbit (via Harvey) and with a large 'angels' motif via It's A Wonderful World etc.

PS...thanks for the kind and appreciative words Bingo, I'm glad that this work means something to others and not just to myself and you are most welcome.

Re: The Tarot, it is only in the last two to three years or so, that I have come to view the Tarot as something more than just a tool for fortune telling and game playing (which tends to be the modern interpretation via Gypsies etc). The cards themselves seem to contain symbolism and aspects that are far, far greater than anything I could have ever imagined...perhaps it is literally 'the book of universal knowledge' (in picture form) that many have claimed? The Tarot has totally transformed my work and research...it has become the unifying factor throughout and has enabled me to connect aspects that, at first, seemed entirely seperate.

Thanks again Bingo.Horselover Phathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05166435780296983828noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6076855809263297950.post-28117980352803185822014-11-05T22:43:37.076+00:002014-11-05T22:43:37.076+00:00While enduring and convalescing, I watched a few m...While enduring and convalescing, I watched a few movies that went along with the theme of my condition, such as My Left Foot and Rear Window; Rear Window being the most engrossing, not only because of the shared circumstances with the protagonist, but because it works right into a Hitchcock essay I'm putting together centered around North by Northwest. That one movie has had me filling my notebook so much that for months a friend of mine was constantly insisting I watch the show True Detective, in which Matthew McConaughey's character keeps a notebook in a similar fashion. I always spurned the idea, but after watching the Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation, where McConaughey hobbles about in a mechanical boot like me with my stupid air cast, for some reason I felt the time was ripe and to her surprise, I acceded. I agreed to watch it with her provided that before every episode I would go through this post and get to explain a certain aspect of the esoteric tradition until I was satisfied with her understanding. To break down all the connections for someone who doesn't give a toss about synchronicity is as difficult as you can imagine, and we even had a pretty big fight regarding coincidences halfway through, but it definitely helped me refine my own learning and teaching method, and it eventually worked out because when the evidence was too abundant to be denied she made this "no no no no" sound I've only heard her make when Ricky Jay does a card trick. Even the sync itself helped out when immediately after the lesson on Orion, I discovered the Matthew McConaughey's Lincoln MKC commercial with him calling a bull "Osiris" that really strengthened the connection for her.
I wound up really liking True Detective and McConaughey's performance in it a lot more than I thought I would, and recommend the show to anyone reading this, most of all the episode "Who Goes There?" More over, I got to enjoy a good WTF moment when a scene from North by Northwest is used in the final episode. Really made me feel like I've been on the right track this whole time.
So I'm happy to report I'm now comfortably on my own two feet again and back to doing daily trimnastics along with Jack Lalanne, the hardship of September past but greatly impressed on me, most positively due largely to this post. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your keen diligence, Phil. You gave a bad scare good meaning. It's been a joy of excitement watching things develop here, and I look forward to all your future posts, to see if they won't also be as much of a kairos as this one.

Here's some pics from North by Northwest you might like. This one right after Cary Grant is shown wearing a cross.
http://i.imgur.com/i7ssK6i.png

and this one of a falling Adam Williams, a little more obvious
http://i.imgur.com/5tTyLwZ.png

P.S.: Just last week, when watching an episode of Tales from the Darkside called "In the Cards," I got to see the basic knowledge of Tarot my friend got from this site go to use. She picked right up on the Hanged Man's pose, the tree of life, and almost put together for herself the rainbow connection by way of a character named Iris.
μncle βingohttp://www.jackulator.com/smf/index.php?topic=5723.0noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6076855809263297950.post-3611276944278213412014-11-05T22:41:20.712+00:002014-11-05T22:41:20.712+00:00A funny story of synchronicity for you: two days a...A funny story of synchronicity for you: two days after that comment I suffered a stress fracture in my left foot. The pain was so intense I could hardly stand to touch it, let alone walk on it, and ended up having to get an air cast with a rocker just so I could move around without having to hop. The cumbersome weight of the cast put such a strain on my leg that in order to find relief, I kept reflexively holding it behind my right knee before realizing what pose I was continually striking. It was then that I started considering this post of yours a very important piece of work, and all too relevant to the dark night of the soul I was going through.
For someone who is almost always on his feet, the suspense of being out of work, stuck inside, and not knowing how long the incapacitation would last made the ordeal one of my life's most trying experiences to date, especially with it being right on the heels of my having fully quit with both drugging and drinking, as the longtime habits were finally interfering far too much with a determination to properly digest and put to memory info like the kind found here on this blog spot, to the point I had to make the choice. And boy howdy was my resolve tested, right at a time when I could've really used something from the medicine chest most. Fortitude won out in the end, and my ability to take in and mentally organize the contents of this blog without the usual headache has made the ride totally worth the going. Many of my sober thanks go to you for helping provide the right challenge to guide me into the clear.μncle βingohttp://www.jackulator.com/smf/index.php?topic=5723.0noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6076855809263297950.post-20045757464459035362014-10-19T14:25:33.447+01:002014-10-19T14:25:33.447+01:00well I hold you in the highest of regards..
