I have added in some Futurama clips to the playlist, including a most conspicuous one from the first episode, "Space Pilot 3000." It all takes place in NYC, and when the main character falls into the cryogenic chamber that sets him up in the future, there is a tower and antenna to be seen in background.

Hoss, here are some links for you today. The first one is a collection of "Fatman" scenes from that movie Overdrawn at the Memory Bank. I forgot to tell you, this movie not only has the fat man who played a detective in Blue Velvet, it has doppelgängers and body-swapping. As you'll see in the clips, Raul Julia has two roles, one being Rick from Casablanca, a movie that takes place in 1941. Incidentally, today is Humphrey Bogart's b-day.

The next video was a lot of fun making. It has bits taken from a 1936 picture The Walking Dead, directed by the same guy who did Casablanca, where Karloff plays a character very similar to Dougie Jones. He has very few lines, thwarts the gangsters trying to kill him without acting all that much, and the Frankenstein (modern Prometheus) connection through Karloff makes me positive David Lynch is aware of this one.

Lastly, there is a something the lady insists on sharing, as it was mostly her doing. There was a podcast book club she really liked, that featured two writers I respect, one being Mike Nelson, whose work I've known for over 25 years. I could never get through the book, Ready Player One, it's so awful, though that's supposed to be the fun of the podcast, and somehow she managed to relish playing along to every episode. We did have some good discussion about what makes such propaganda so bad, and it led to her sending in to the show some of the research I had put together for you from over a year ago, without my knowing.
Truth is, it is because of going by your recommendation of The Singing Detective that I wound up hearing the "Never explain" phrase enough times, that I finally decided to compile my work on the subject. Now all that leads to me getting to hear Mike Nelson commend the effort, which would be like Metallica telling you they really enjoyed your tape. It means the most to her, which is why she really wanted to share.

The 'baby Oscar' thing really bugs me, because of how representative it is of so many cases where the children used in these movies stand little chance in the face of a system that continually marks innocent people for ritualistic purposes, and aims to confuse its audience for life, most often sexually. How fitting Max 'Exorcist' von Sydow was chosen to do the voice of Vigo the Carpathian, while that actor, Wilhelm von Humberg, was the son of a Nazi soldier who worked at Buchenwald.

Good to get the stamp of approval in regards to the playlists. I should credit the assistance I get. A good deal of ideas lately have been coming from someone I know who is keen to hear that kind of positive feedback. You can now be expecting plenty more.

As for Simpsons, you're not missing out. The show used to be one of the best things on TV, but what the hell does that really say? Probably more about how awful the mass program was on a whole than anything positive about the occasional sharp writing. As far as the first ten seasons, I'm happy knowing it well enough to inform you on the relevant down-low, so you don't have to waste time with it.

I knew the carbon rod would get your attention. That joke comes across to me like something a higher up had the writers work into the show, and not at all organic. To follow that "In Rod We Trust" wordplay, theres more of the same in the movie Jerry Maguire, where Cuba Gooding Jr's character is named Rod Tidwell.

In addition to the Simpsons, I take it you're not too familiar with the other show created by Matt Groening, FutuRAMA. I really should have mentioned that one first.

Hi. I've not seen Arrival or Alien Covenant. Alien Covenant (from the plot descriptions) is yet another rehash of Alien. They just keep repeating the same story - over and over.

I did just notice the (kabbalistic) "11-11" reference for Arrival on the promo pic though. From your provided link.

Alien Covenant - masonic Scott is clearly (in one aspect) channelling the (Egyptian) Ark of the Covenant (imo). I just saw a mission type patch with the Ark's winged entities etc. Alien franchise has always been Egypto-tastic. Pyramid egg silos (original draft), Isis Wings, the Rainbow Arc/Ark (original Alien patch), Weylan/Weyland Yutani "pyramid", canopic jars (in Prometheus).

That said, the imagery for both (from your link) does seemingly evoke the Rama-esque type rock/ship.

Absolutely astonishing findings, and then, of course, the usual cast of disreputable characters to taint the waters. I had not heard of Oumuamua until recently (I keep calling it "Oom Mow Mow"), but now it keeps coming up from different sources. I also hadn't heard about the twin from Ghostbusters 2. It's awful learning those kinds of stories, especially on the frequency they occur.
