Incidentally, it was this article at Calcified Lies that introduced me to this blog. I find both blogs thought provoking and eye opening. They both function in making me question everything I see and hear. What I have also noticed for myself over the years is how the soundtracks of evening advertisements, I suppose especially advertisements, manipulate your emotions while watching something and every time I hear certain songs or pieces of music the feelings I had from the first watching are triggered again.
On another note, towards the end of the '80's I was introduced to Stairway to Heaven by some university student for whom it was a kind of an anthem. Only many, many years later, in a tiny little town in Chile, did I finally get to see the video of them singing it, and I noticed then that they seemed to be laughing at us, all this high emotion stuff looked like it was very much tongue in cheek. That cured me of my fascination with the song. Only now, in your blog, do I understand my own reactions and I thank you for that.
Thanks for your writing and your introductions to all the other researchers you reference. Like a previous poster has mentioned, it takes a while to get through your work, what with reading the sources you quote as well, but those of us that are interested do get through it eventually.

Really, the first one? What a place to start, but you made it through the other side and reasonably intact. :) Not seen that Amnesiac shot before (I'm surprised you remembered, lol), I've never been a fan, I don't hate them, just never been a fan. I wonder which constellations are represented? There are so many of these 'related' album covers (like this out there) that it would make a very sizeable post. I think my current 'fav' (if you can call it that) is "I Am The World Trade Center" and with the 11th track being titled September, released July 2001.

My goodness, how time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana. This Nu Flesh post of yours was actually the first of your work I ever saw, and what seriously got me into the synchrosphere. I mean, I was already in it deep through all the movies, music, books and crap I consumed growing up, but it was because of my familiarity with practically everything referenced in this blog post that it all lined up for me so fast and so vast. Though I also remember the headache of trying to take the whole thing in at once, difficulty stemming from me still being a lush at the time, clearly evident by the admission of enjoyment from syncing up Radiohead albums. The artwork for Radiohead's album, Amnesiac had amongst the pictures of corpses, minotaurs and lost children crying, a picture of the WTC with a certain constellation drawn above it and the words, "“the decline and fall of the Roman Empire.” I quite enjoy the music, mostly to duel against stuff like Aphex Twin or Kubrick movies, but the truth is these cult personalities were never here to help us or be our friends, no matter how convincing their sincerity.

I think Radioheads music is deeply connected to this situation we're facing. I've had a lot of strange experiences involving their music. Their music has been somehow sent to me at times and I've been able to see and hear music and even videos they've made in my minds eye (just like i'm imagining it) that were not released until many years later. A lot of it is hard to explain and I get the same reaction you do with this, silence, even among people i know must have had similar experiences and basically have indirectly confirmed they've had the same thing. Hi Joe...I am flushing this 'turd' (anonymous) away...he brought literally nothing to the party. I have absolutely no time for 'fishermen'...you either put up or shut up. He has given his answer...it is 'shut up' (which says it all) and that is the end, I'm not the slightest bit interested in whatever it was. Joe, you are one of the few who appreciate just how long I've been doing this sort of thing (12 years +) and I do it for no reward whatsoever. You are using the name Dick employed in “Valis,” although you are using the ebonics rendering (“phat”). Charles Beaumont wrote a Twilight Zone episode concerning an immortal who used the scarab (Rod Serling told me he believed in all of the weird phenomena featured on the Twilight Zone). James Shelby Downard researched the scarab and the Beatles rock band in the 70s. I met James Woods in Spokane, Washington a few years ago. We mostly discussed Eastwood.
