“And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder …” (Revelation 6:1).
At this point in the Revelation narrative, we have seen the Church Age come and go in the Seven Church Ages in the Dispensation of Grace. This Age of Grace concluded with the departure of all true born-again believers in Christ off of the earth in Revelation 4:1 before judgment struck the earth.
All of those who personally received Christ while on Earth during the Age of Grace are now in Heaven receiving (or in some cases losing) reward for their service performed (or not performed) for the Lord while on Earth during the time they were in their earthly bodies …
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5:10).
With that understood, it is most interesting to observe the divine and supernaturally influenced structure of the Bible that displays a providential fingerprint of authenticity. We see that fingerprint of authenticity on clear display when reading the judgments of the book of Revelation. As such, it should make it that much more certain in anyone’s mind that these judgments are certain to come to pass according to God’s prophetic plan as displayed in this most fearful and important book.
