As I predicted some months ago, President Donald Trump’s failure to contain the COVID-19 pandemic will likely doom him to being a one-term president. As I write, the official death toll from the pandemic is well over 98,000. My approximation figure was always that keeping the death toll below 50,000 would ensure Trump’s reelection. U.S. national deaths between 50,000 and 100,000 in number would put his re-election in the Twilight Zone. Figures soaring above 100,000 would lead inexorably to defeat in November.
All this means that the Democratic presidential nomination is now really worth having: And the High and Mighty of the party establishment are now bitterly regretting that in a meltdown moment of existential panic over Senator Bernie Sanders, they bequeathed it to old former Vice President Joe Biden.
To read the American Mainstream Media, mean and conformist as any pack of hyenas, you would never dream that Biden is actually doing rather well.
He says little. He has started to venture out. He makes his inevitable foot-in-mouth pratfalls, but they are usually harmless. The simple reality is that ordinary Americans like him, and he does not generate the boundless hatred among half the country that Trump and Hillary Clinton both do, like witches or warlocks summoning up thunderstorms at the click of their finger.
Current polls consistently show Biden comfortably ahead of Trump and at worst tying even with him. What is far more ominous for Trump is that as the COVID-19 death toll mounts, his own approval ratings are steadily eroding and his unfavorable ratings are rising again.
If the Democratic Party establishment were sane and passably competent, they would be rejoicing. But as usual they are self-destructive buffoons who cannot look a gift horse in the mouth without shooting it dead on the spot.
Now, faced with a sure thing being handed to them for victory in November, the Democrats are still looking for ways to blow it.
Their first choice is to run New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo instead of Biden as “America’s Governor”, the “hero of the pandemic.” In fact,Cuomo is the only figure who could still ensure a Trump victory. His stewardship of his own state and his monumental mismanagement of it are worthy of impeachment and congressional investigation. His bungles have generated almost 40 percent of all deaths from COVID -19 in the entire country even though New York State comprises less than eight percent of the total national population.
Cuomo would in fact be a fitting candidate for the Democrats as he is now the only one Trump can still beat. Which is yet another reason that aging Liberal idiots insist on revering him.
Trump has always been incredibly lucky as well as energetic and shrewd in both his business and political careers: And he could yet win an second term if the Democrats really are idiotic enough to try and dump Biden for Cuomo.
However, there is another “Dream Team” that would guarantee the swooning, reverential support of every Democrat and would carry an impeccable track record of disastrous incompetence and proven stupidity over the past quarter century. That is yet another Hillary Clinton candidacy but with former President Barack Obama as her vice president.
The fact that Hillary blew a sure thing twice before only adds to her credentials and her appeal. She, like the rest of the Democrats has never learned from her incessant failures and she never will. No Democrat can possibly resist such an appeal.
Obama’s record as president was at best woeful and in truth catastrophic: He doubled the record federal deficits he inherited from George W. Bush; He turned most of the Middle East over to ISIS; He toppled a genuinely democratic and stable government in Ukraine and replaced it with neo-Nazis and civil war; And he set the United States on a kamikaze course towards World War with Russia.
However, in the eyes of 60 million brainwashed Democratic voters, Obama’s presidency is now remembered as a Golden Age in the Elysium Fields.
In reality, of course, the Dream Team would be an apocalyptic nightmare. Biden’s health – of which the details have never been released – is still vastly more robust than Hillary Clinton’s, a septuagenarian and well-documented raging alcoholic who up to a few months ago at least could not even waddle on to a stage unaided.
Clinton’s well-documented record of rages and drunkenness, apart from her astonishing catalogue of catastrophic judgments, public lies and flaunting abuse of every public norm of proper behavior make her a menace to the world. But with Obama as her vice presidential running mate, even she could win.
To complete this astonishing record of total stupidity and suicidal choices on every side from America’s leaders, Trump appears determined to destroy his own fading chances for reelection by reopening the United States with reckless abandon as the pandemic still rages.
The current president does not realize, and neither do any of the libertarian and Wall Street-saturated lemmings on the Know Nothing Right, that in such crises, Biology always overrides Economics. Get the Biology wrong and then political defeat and economic ruin will automatically follow, and not all the tax cutting and government regulation slashing in the world will save you.
But these are simple truths They are far too simple to be accepted by Trump or the towering giants of the Democratic Establishment who would raise up Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton yet again to threaten the survival of the world.
