PSYOP: US Navy cluster bombs oil-rich Libya, blames Gaddafi Today, Human Rights Investigation (HRI) has called for accountability related to the recent cluster bombing of Libyans in the nation's third largest city, Misrata. HRI has evidence that, although Human Rights Watch and a US media reporter blamed Gaddafi supporters for the war crime of cluster bombing Misrata, it was the United States Navy and Western allies who cluster bombed the city in April in the US led war on oil rich Libya, and then led a deadly psychological operation for further violence.

[2006] Britain is determined to protect its right to kill civilians at random Israel scattered 4m cluster bombs over Lebanon during its latest invasion earlier this year, almost all of them during the final 72 hours. It looked like revenge, or an attempt (like its deliberate bombing of the Jiyeh power plant, causing a massive oil spill) to cripple Lebanon's economy. Since the invasion, more than two Lebanese civilians have been blown up by cluster bombs each day on average.
[2006] IDF commander: We fired more than a million cluster bombs in Lebanon "What we did was insane and monstrous, we covered entire towns in cluster bombs," the head of an IDF rocket unit in Lebanon said regarding the use of cluster bombs and phosphorous shells during the war. Quoting his battalion commander, the rocket unit head stated that the IDF fired around 1,800 cluster bombs, containing over 1.2 million cluster bomblets. In addition, soldiers in IDF artillery units testified that the army used phosphorous shells during the war, widely forbidden by international law.
The Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM) prohibits
the use, transfer, and stockpile of cluster bombs, which scatter "bomblets" over
a large area. The CCM went into force on 1 August 2010. Currently, 63 states
have ratified it (purple) including Britain, France, Norway and Denmark, NATO
member states that are participating in the bombing of Libya. States that have
signed the Convention but have not yet ratified it are in blue.
