We cannot stand up against the U.S. And he emphasized that the leadership here has a very warm and very good relationship with America, that they have absolutely no love for the Iranian regime, but that they have been warned by the Iranians just a few days ago that there will be severe repercussions if any Iranian Kurdish forces cross into Iran from here in Iraqi Kurdistan. He also said that part of the problem from their perspective is the lack of clarity as to what the end goal is here.

He said one day President Trump says that the goal is regime change. The next day it seems to be something else. The policy is just not clear.

Because Congress didn’t back regime change, it’s illegal. It is regime change. That is the goal, not destroying a nuclear program.

And so the goal is to get us into a full war, which has been achieved, and not let us understand that. But we don’t need to hear the five or six different stories we’re told and wonder what the truth is. We know the doctrine.
