May I gently remind you that what you deem "serpent illumination" is most often pursued through entering trance like states and by being touched as we see in Hinduism and the charasmatic movements today? Are there not references to touch and trance in Genesis? Are there not numerous exhortations in scripture about sober and sound MINDS? Was not Apollo in Acts 18 burning/boiling in spirit and met up with Priscilla (ancient) and Aquila (eagle/hawk)....? Are there not commands to not pass through the fire?

Yes ritual sodomy is real. But more than that, exceedingly, are the millions upon millions engaging in mind altering experiences through drugs, eastern meditation practices.....The mind took in the knowledge of good and evil and gave birth to Cain and able....they are the products of that fruit, the seed producing like kinds....and resulted in the vain imaginations and continually wicked thoughts up to the flood....both stem from the mind...

All I can tell you is this. A week prior to Joseph's Blog on the Serpent Seed, I confirmed to him my thankfulness to his ministry and agreement with all of his work. When the Serpent Seed blog came out I was speechless. I was like "What?" How can you not discern the battle between "The Womans Seed" and "Your seed"???? Anyways, these are very touchy subjects.
I wanna say this, I know the Adversary works in many ways. Can I offer up this? That he may disseminate disinfo between the brethren w/o the brethrens knowledge. I only offer that to say that I have SO benefited from you & brother Josephs teachings and have trouble with those who who lead others to Christ as being the enemy.What an insightful writing Bob! It is my prayer that we approach these things in the Spirit of Truth & of Love and not errantly cast judgment.............with Christ and the Holy Spirit being our guide!!!

I'm someone who has also enjoyed many of Joseph Herrin's blogs, but something about the "Serpent seed doctrine" article seemed off to me.

Considering myself not stuck with dogmas, I tried for a moment to discard the evidence for a sexually-related fall in the garden of Eden.

Joseph's argument: Rom 5:12; Through one man sin entered into the world... would it be true, if Cain's father was someone other than Adam? Even though I'm not sure I have the correct answer, there's the record of giants in the Bible, who were fallen despite not being fathered by Adam. Like animals, the whole of creation share our fallen state.

I read your "Who is Cain's father" articles and found them excellent. When God says in Gen. 3:23 "Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever" I believe this refers to the marriage of the Lamb. Christ is the Tree of life, and when the Bride marries Him, the Bride will live forever.

And also, notice how God placed cherubims to guard the Tree of life?

There are not many other verses in the Bible speaking of cherubims guarding something, but there is one in Revelation!
