Keeping in mind that Satan is the ultimate imitator, it's interesting to contemplate the use of shovels in scripture. Depending on which translation one uses (excluding paraphrases, like The Message, various Hebrew terms for shovel show up in verses such as:

Deut 23:13 (commonsense camp hygiene)
Pvbs 6:27 (playing with the fire of sin)
Isaiah 30:24 (winnowing shovel; unique use)
Jer 15:7 (winnowing shovel; different word)

And in the Greek in the NT:

Matt 3:12 & Luke 3:17 (winnowing shovel)

My summary 'take': The first two uses of shovels in scripture refer to burying excrement (underground) and as a warning against shoveling sin (effectively excrement, in God's eyes) into one's lap.

Subsequent uses of shovels refer to God Himself separating people with a winnowing shovel. Those stained with the excrement of un-atoned sin and rebellion go to one side (the useless chaff, to be burned; recall Ezekiel 4:12-15) and those cleansed by the blood of the lamb above ground, with Him.

One more point; you mentioned in fleeting the "oral sex" suggestion in the 2012 Olympic logo. I see that and always have but the bigger picture there is that someone is being crowned (probably King of England) or investitured - the rings make the crown and the one being crowned is kneeling.

Something I just noticed:

In the picture with the guys with all the shovels - if I counted correctly, there are 12 underground. There is the one man above them - and above him is the "sleeping giant."

This could refer to witchcraft/coven and/or freemasonry.

Notice all the shovels are pointing up, like arrows.

Also, there are 2 people in that picture who are looking directly "into the camera" if you will - that is, they saying, "Look, this needs attention!"

On earthquakes...

I believe earthquakes are related to judgment and especially marking times of resurrection, which relate to judgment. I see them as marking resurrection events of the saints PLUS potentially ALSO for those released for the purposes of executing judgment and then finally wrath. They are a shaking of what may be shaken. This action involves a filter to make a sifting and sorting process work.

No comment on the position of the EQ sign in relation to the man... maybe... maybe not. But some other interpretations seem more in the foreground, e.g., a quick Google of 'EQ' yields some interesting and remarkably consistent results (in the spiritual sense). From the front page:

The earthquake consideration seems likely to me to have some potential. If the EQ sign in this panel has any cues that support it, I haven't noticed yet.

The EQ sign speaks to me of more than just sodomy. It compares to the 2012 London Olympics logo. Different act, same reference back to the Garden of Eden. Satan is boasting over us about his former conquests and present dominion, flaunting it right in our faces. This panel and other public displays like it exert influence to keep moving that scheme forward to its fulfillment.

Hmmm - The "EQ" basically equals sodomy? I find that hard to believe - not because I don't believe you (I do) - it's just (again) another blatant, in-your-face statement that I hadn't thought of; but I believe you are right on (as usual.)

EQ could also mean "earthquake" - as in the future, a huge earthquake may reveal the underground nephilim?
