It&#39;s still happening today ....<br /><br />Every year there is a White House tradition to &#39;pardon&#39; a turkey before Thanksgiving and it occurred to me that it parallels the Passover custom in Jerusalem that allowed or required Pilate, the praefectus or governor of Judea, to commute one prisoner&#39;s death sentence by popular acclaim.<br /><br />By pardoning a turkey, they are comparing Yeshua to a turkey, and thus mocking him. Perhaps this is part of why the Pope is in Turkey this weekend. He is doing the same.<br /><br />It&#39;s possible that the Thanksgiving weekend is intended to parallel or model the crucifixion weekend. The Lions have a lion on their helmets (obvious enough) whereas the Cowboys have a star on theirs. The two symbols together evoke the star Regulus, the heart star in the constellation Leo.<br /><br />On August 23rd, the same day that Napa Valley, north of San Francisco, had its largest earthquake in 25 years, the sun was passing Regulus.<br /><br />A few years ago, the NFL added a third game to the Thanksgiving Day lineup. This years third game is the defending champion Seattle Seahawks, the team that gave us the &#39;Beastquake&#39; phenomenon, visiting the San Francisco 49ers.<br /><br />At the same time, the Pope is visiting Turkey (on &#39;Turkey Day&#39;), who took the name Francis of Assisi, which is who San Francisco was named after.
