it reminds me of something written in the book about the Cloudeaters from Tom Horn's publishing. A group of scientists were led (very unusual) by Tibetan gherka guides a good part of the distance up the Himalayas to the Lost City of the Gods then they were told how to find it but had to go on without the guides. They found it and the description in the book is mind boggling. they went into one place which contained the bodies of nephilim / gibborim giants in stasis (suspended animation). They weree told not to cross a red line on the floor, but one guy did, and roused one from stasis - the net result was the loss of 13 lives (the rest escaped).

Very interesting occurrences. I live in Rochester, about 10 minutes from Midtown. The clock is now in our airport. The whole city is pretty creepy, come visit us!

It's interesting that in the Wikipedia entry one finds the following concerning 'the Great Old Ones', "...They all lay in stone houses in Their great city of R'lyeh preserved by the spells of Cthulhu for a glorious resurrection..." and that a very cursory glance into the meaning of the word 'Rochester' lends credibility to the whole story of Rochester, the Mall and the clock. I'll leave it to you to discover the meaning of 'Rochester', if you haven't guessed already. Cheers.
