Diane de Poitiers by François ClouetCécilia Ciganer-Albéniz is the ex-wife of French president Nicolas Sarkozy.
In 1983, Cecilia left the photographer Jean-Daniel Lorieux, and reportedly moved in with the French TV host Jacques Martin.
Cecilia married Martin in 1984. Nicolas Sarkozy, then the mayor of Neuilly, conducted the wedding.
In 1988, Cécilia reportedly left her husband and went to live with Sarkozy, who was already married to someone else.
Reportedly, Cécilia insisted on being called Madame Sarkozy.
The hostesses of Neuilly reportedly referred to Cecilia as "the mayor's whore".

In 1996, Cécilia married Nicolas Sarkozy.
In 2005, Cécilia reportedly began an affair with Publicis executive Richard Attias.
Sarkozy, in the meantime, reportedly had a romantic relationship with Anne Fulda, a journalist at Le Figaro.
Cecilia and Sarkozy were divorced in 2007.
In a 2008 book, Cécilia is quoted as saying that "Nicolas is a woman-chaser. Nicolas is tight with his money ... a man who loves no one, not even his children."
Cecilia is quoted as saying that Sarkozy has been behaving in a "ridiculous", way, clubbing and singing karaoke until 4am with women.
