The bill would weaken the corruption court by allowing career judges rather than specially appointed judges to dominate.
Career judges are alleged to be generally corrupt.
The Bill could stop the anti-corruption agency (KPK) from using wiretaps without permission and take away its power to prosecute suspects.

In June 2009, a former central bank deputy governor, who is President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's relative by marriage, was convicted of corruption and sentenced to 4-1/2 years in jail.
Aulia Pohan, whose daughter is married to Yudhoyono's eldest son, was found guilty of approving 100 billion rupiah (US$9.8 million) in illegal payments to Members of Parliament and former colleagues at Bank Indonesia.
