In a Global Competitiveness Report, the World Bank and the World Economic Forum cited this country's low corruption, stable government and educated population.

The USA wants a change of leadership in Tunisia so that more American companies, rather than European companies, can move in.
AND, Tunisia is a moderate Moslem country.
The influential pro-Israel elite in the USA are not fond of Moslems.
AND, Israel would like to paint all Moslems as being poor and useless.
So, how might the CIA and Mossad shake things up in Tunisia?
Tunisian intelligence officers provide "intense cooperation" with CIA and FBI agents, said Tahar Fellous Refaï, director general of external relations and international cooperation at Tunisia's Ministry of the Interior. (Tunisia: The Price of Prosperity - TIME)
The recent shootings in Tunisia may have been organised to help the CIA.
SO, President Ben Ali has been forced out. What will happen next?
1. "Even strict secularist laws might not shield Tunisia from growing Muslim fervor in the region." (Tunisia: The Price of Prosperity - TIME)
The CIA and Mossad will be happy to see its friend Saudi Arabia spread Wahabism throughout Tunisia.
Fundamentalist Moslems are easier to control and exploit.
2. Investment by European countries will drop.
3. Tourism from Europe will decline.
4. Poverty and unemployment will increase.
5. The new leadership will award its friends with contracts.
6. Tunisia will be more of a slave to Globalisation.
7. Tunisia will be expected to serve the military interests of the USA.

Its a lot easier to infiltrate Tunisia than Algeria. If there's a possible 'hidden coup' then I feel it might be to get the bigger prize of Algeria , or at least destabilization.
Algeria have a lot of business with China and Russia.
I know a couple of Algerians and they say Mossad find it very difficult to get into Algeria while there is animosity as apparently many Jewish Algerians fought on the side of the French in the very bloody Independence struggle [ itself supported by JFK and DeGaulle while not favoured by Israel, pro-Israel US and the OAS of France]
cheers
It is not good for business if people are happy enjoying their lives. These people thrive during conflicts that they usually created.
Very good aang, you are correct on the lack of alternative media coverage. I have no doubt that Ben Ali needs to go, as so many 'leaders' need to, but then what next?
Reports now are that Ali has dismissed the government and called for new elections in 6 months. The riots and deadly responses go on.
Please keep reporting on this.
Yes indeed; Algeria may be the long term target.

Do Ben Ali has gone and been replaced with his PM under the supervision of the army, just like Caeuscescu was replaced by his own staff under the supervision of the Romanian army.
These CIA operations are so predictable, like they're templated or something, and yet not a peep out of alternative media or MSM to that regard.
Hey Aan,..."If there were ten green bottles, hangin' on the wall; ten green bottles, hangin' on the wall...
and if one green bottle should accidently fall; there'd be nine green bottles, hangin' on the wall!"
veritas
Thanks so much for that post, very very interesting...its crazy how you say with this 'independent' media we meant to have now this stuff dont get reported more often. Oh well i sure you can do it better than them anyway just shame more people not wanting to investigate whats really going on in this world....Salaam/Shalom/Peace..
Yes. Thanks for your excellent research, pictorials, and logical conclusions, aang. What has been wrought on dear Tunisia! Shame on all the alternatives who are pushing the 'official' story.
Hi Aang.
The comment re Global Research is interesting as i have been toying with the idea that they are indeed psyops since i saw, on their site mind you, that they became opperational on 10th September 2001 A day or so before you know when.
You may need to clarify that but it stuck in my memory like super glue. I'll try to chase the link. Cheers A13.
PS.Thank you for all the well resaerched info, in my gut i know you do a first class job. A.

Is this just a coincidence??
A13. My detector started detecting.
HA!!word verification is ovetrant ;)
I guess this means we'll see more climate change experiments.
I'm tunisian and I'm shocked as you see Ben Ali's departure as a simple change from one regime to another and tunisia as a cake!! You american are too enclosed in your bubble and don't see what is really happening!
What happenned in my country are not simple riots and a departure of a dictator, it is a revolution and the departure of dictatorship there is no way back to despotism and the way to democratie is now open for us! We tunisian are aware of that and won't let anyone steel this from us so if you want to help us to install democratie you're welcome but if not leave us alone please! then islamism is not going to spread in Tunisia and less likely the wahhabit as we hate Saudi Arabia and deny all sorts of extremism!! tunisia is not as other arab country and has a tradition of secularism!! even the islamic mouvement is moderate and won't change liberties tunisian are too attached to as gender equality!
