"Critique of Ron Paul's Austerity Plan" with Webster Griffin Tarpley:
"Ron Paul's 'Plan to Restore America' includes $1 trillion in cuts to the federal budget in one year.
"We take a look at what this would mean for the American people"
http://www.kpfa.org/archive/id/76422
"When criticizing Paul's welfare cuts, Tarpley grossly overlooks the fact that the states would pick up the slack since it's not a Constitutional function of the Federal gov't.
"The cuts don't mean they would do without, just that the distribution would be more localized.
"Tarpley said, "Where are the empirical examples historically of letting a depression burn itself out?"
"Perhaps he should study the Depression of 1920?" www.youtube.com/watch?v=czcUmnsprQI

Oh yeah, the states are gonna pick up the slack from the brutal, genocidal, antihuman meat ax budget cuts Ron Paul promises. I guess the news hasn't gotten to aangirfan that 49 out of 50 of the states are teetering on bankruptcy (North Dakota, the only solvent state has its own public central bank). So devolving the funding of social services only means they will cease to function. I think Tarpley's right and you should cite him more frequently. Generally he's on the same page as you guys, but he favors economic growth and material progress more than austerity, which is Ron Paul's stock in trade, as well as Heinrich Bruening, the failed German chancellor who paved the way for Hitler.

Considering Tarpley's criticism of the 1 trillion budget cut, one has to wonder how people survived before the 1990s.
