Jimmy Savile was the real Yorkshire Ripper, Sutcliffe was merely an accomplice. Savile did most the murders.
One of the murders even took place in a Savile Park, in another Sutcliffe was seen very close to Savile's house.
This reflects Savile's enjoyment of playing out his activities in public, of teasing. He knew he was untouchable and enjoyed pushing the envelope. Same reason why he did things like In The Psychiatrist's Chair and Louis Theroux - for him it was all part of the game.
Savile of course then kept close to Sutcliffe, and was able to arrange all manner of special privileges for him at Broadmoor, including going out for trips, getting a new gym built, trips out with Savile.
The Home Office have kept secret details of Sutcliffe's associates. Only someone with an influence over the Prime Minister and Home Secretary could have done this, just like only someone with that level of influence could have been placed in charge of Broadmoor, and be granted access to all of the patient's rooms with a gold plated set of keys and their own bedroom in the hospital, despite being a TV presenter with no relevant professional qualifications or experience.
The so-called "Cambridge Mafia" are an interesting bunch. Keep an eye on Lamont - despite now having a low profile he was an avid consumer of Savile's services and even appeared on Jim'll Fix It playing table tennis in the Houses of Parliament.

Amid the outcry aimed at Jimmy Savile, most commentators fail to mention that this rotten wurzel was just one in the field of festering tubers.
Some of us remember that in the 1970s there was a wholly legal Paedophile Information Exchange operating in England; that science-fiction author Sir Arthur C Clarke was a self-confessed paedophile, who lived in Ceylon where he could with impunity sexually abuse young boys (he actually boasted about it and defended the practice); that sex-tourism to the Far East for the purpose of abusing children was practised on a large scale, mostly unopposed; that from churches to public schools sexual abuse was rife to the point of being seen as virtually normal.
Add to this the general sexualisation of children that started some time early in the 1960s, with pop music in particular aimed at sexual arousal of pubescent girls, who were fainting at pop concerts and throwing their knickers on the stage. So what did you expect?
To me, this whole sordid affair is yet another demonstration of the British temperament: swinging from one extreme to another. In the 1960s, homosexuals were regarded as criminals and could be put in jail; in 2012, those who risk jail are clergymen who refuse to marry them in church.
From pretending that child abuse is a harmless play we've now progressed to banning parents from photographing school plays.

Actually, Scotland's Cardinal Keith O'Brien has called for Savile's papal knighthood to be revoked. So far, he still retains his British knighthood, as does Arthur C Clarke. Even if his knighthoods are revoked it aint going to affect him one way or t'other and could be seen by some as a hypocritical gesture by the authorities who covered up for him for so long.

I'm not defending the person with the poor punctuation who posted similar comments twice but whoever they are, what they say about Tom Driberg isn't necessarily disinformation - the evidence does suggest he was a paedophile - a 2010 Channel 4 programme, "Toffs and Crims" about Lord Boothby's relationship with the Krays made it clear that there was a mutual pact between the Tories and Labour not to expose each others' homosexuals, with links to the underworld. The programme didn't explicitly accuse either Driberg or Boothby of being paedos but it did make it clear that both liked teenage boys. Furthermore the Krays, with whom both had links, were known to host paedophile parties. Kincora is a much neglected element in all of this - William McGrath the paedophile psycho who ran Kincora was very close to Ian Paisley - yet Paisley was made Northern Irish First Minister long after it was revealed that he knew what McGrath was up to in Kincora. Indeed Lord Paisley is now something of a respected elder statesman. Significantly Paisley was very supportive of all the western military interventions in Iraq and elsewhere and made an unusually measured and very well crafted speech in favour of the Iraq War during the 2003 Commons debate on the issue.
Sorry that programme I mentioned, "Toffs and Crims" was broadcast in 2009 I think - not 2010 as I stated. Anyone wishing to learn more about Kincora's links to the British intelligence establishment could do worse than read Martin Dillon's books "The Dirty War" and "Stone Cold", and Paul Foot's book !"Who Framed Colin Wallace?". Predictably Foot, in my opinion, takes an unduly left-wing view of Kincora, in the sense that all the bad guys are right-wing Tories. To my mind he ignores the huge evidence that establishment paedophilia is just as much a Labour as a Tory phenomenon. But then he was Michael Foot's nephew so that is to be expected. In any case he does dish plenty of dirt on Kincora.
