I have started making comments again, after a bit of a dry period, but I was puzzled by the admission by a "victim" of Lord McAlpine that he had mistaken his abuser's identity.
After all these years? (At least 15.).
If his abuser was a relative of Lord McAlpine's (hence the confusion and mistake) should we not be told who this person is, so that they may be brought to justice?
This case has similarities with the Larry King case in America.
There, for those who are not familiar with the matter, a well-known Republican party fund-raiser was alleged to have been a major organizer of a paedophile ring, providing young people, mainly boys, to V. I. P.'s and members of the U. S. government, the ramifications extending as far as the White House, where groups of young boys had been taken on tours in the early hours of the morning, with no apparent problems with any security.
As soon as this started to be known in the media, investigations seem to have got no further, but King himself was put on trial, not for child abuse, but for fraud (a situation I feel that is similar to the conviction of Al Capone for tax offences, rather than being a gangster!).
It appears that this sudden question of mistaken identity has only appeared as a result of pressure having been put upon the witness (Steve Meessham). The judge who held the original investigation into the child abuse allegations against the North Wales children's home made a ruling that although 4 prominent political figures were named during the process, no mention was to be made of their names outside the court, subject to contempt of court proceedings.
This was done allegedly to "protect the victims". Surely, it would be much better protection for the victims and any future victims for these 4 people to have been named.
The government must have the right to over-rule this judge's decision. If the names were to be released, it would prove, 1 way or the other, whether or not the real Lord McAlpine was involved.
I am certain that he would welcome such a revelation, unless, of course, he actually was involved!

Kate Adie, John Suchet, Sophie Hannah and Simon Brett were all in action two weekends ago at the first ever Sherborne Literary Festival. So was Charles Napier.
Who he? "Charles Napier has recently retired to Sherborne, where he grew up, after a career with the British Council and as a freelance lecturer and language school director," the festival programme claimed, adding that his local production of The Winter's Tale opens next month.
What the CV omitted to say was that Napier is a sometime prep-school master and a lifelong predatory paedophile, who has convictions for indecent assaults on boys going back 40 years. A former treasurer of the Paedophile Information Exchange, he used to throw "parties" for fellow PIE members at his then residence in Thames Ditton, Surrey, at which they filmed children being abused.
After being banned from every school in Britain, he worked for the British Council in Cairo (describing the city to a friend as "full of boys, 98 percent of them available"), but that "career" came to an abrupt end in 1994 when Interpol caught up with him. In 1995 he was jailed for sex assaults on youngsters in London.
Presumably the festival organisers knew nothing of this. Not only did they sign up Napier to speak on how Shakespeare articulated "the theme of a fractured world redeemed by the courage and innocence of the young", they also saw fit to stage this event at Sherborne School. Sir Jimmy Savile himself could hardly have done better.

They managed to convince people that the "official" story of 9/11 was true, and even now many still do despite the ludicrousness - although I saw in a recent poll that over 90% of Germans don't, which is encouraging - so they must think that distracting attention away from high level paeodophilia will be a walk in the park.
I note that Jimmy McAlpine doesn't look that dissimilar to the wrongly-accused Lord. Perfectly understandable to make a mistake after all these years. I note Messham saw the mistake instantly ...assuming the two do resemble each other moderately well I would be inclined to be a trifle fuzzy to begin with, experience during my research tells me it takes time for it to sink in unless you really knew the person very well.
The disinformation/cover-up is in full swing.
We can but wait with bated breath to see what happens. There is a great deal of pressure out there, but as said, no real evidence yet.
The guy recently arrested was one of Savile's producers we've never heard of.

A former British Council worker who sexually abused boys at his home was sent to prison for nine months yesterday. Charles Napier, 48, a former teacher and half-brother of John Whittingdale, MP, who was a private secretary to Margaret Thatcher, was a treasurer of the Paedophile Information Exchange and had convictions for child abuse going back as far as 1972, Kingston Crown Court was told.
Napier found a job with the British Council in Cairo after being banned from teaching jobs in British schools after a conviction for indecent assault. He was sacked when British Council officials discovered the offences.
He admitted in a pre-sentence report that he was still sexually attracted to boys, and had also expressed continuing sexual feeling for children in a recent letter, the jury was told.
During the two-week trial, the jurors heard that Napier, who had denied to charges of indecent assault between 1982 and 1985, had lured young boys to his home in Thames Ditton, Surrey, with promises of boat trips and computer games.
One victim, now aged 25, said Napier had befriended him when he played truant and had later lured him into his bed before sexually assaulting him. Napier had also been given probation as far back as 1972 after being found guilty of similar offences against young children.
Judge Geoffrey Mercer said information showed Napier was a continuing threat to children. "It clearly shows the continuing sexual attraction towards boys and it is clear from the pre-sentence report that you do not deny that". He would have passed a "considerably greater" sentence had it not been for the fact that the offences had been committed before the maximum sentence had been increased to ten years.
Napier, who has been living abroad, was also ordered to pay £1,000 costs.

Robert Chapman, a former resident of Bryn Alyn, fell to his death from a railway bridge.
Robert Arthur Smith, a former resident of Bryn Alyn, killed himself in May 1978, aged 16, by overdosing on painkillers.
Barry Williams, former resident of Little Acton Assessment centre, Clywd, found dead in a flat where he lived in poverty, aged 21.
Peter Davies died 1985.
Adrian Johns, former resident of Bryn Alyn, died in a 1992 fire aged 32 in Brighton, Sussex. Verdict - unlawful killing.
Heath Kelvin Jones, former resident of Bryn Alyn, found dead in 1992 in a bedsit, aged 18. Cause of death, acute respiratory failure due to solvent abuse.
Peter Wynn hanged himself in January 1994, aged 27.

Mark Humphries hanged himself in February 1995 aged 31. Allegations of sexual abuse against care workers.
Simon Birley, former resident of Bryn Estyn, was found hanging in May 1995 aged 27. Allegations he had been sexually abused by care worker.
Tony Wallis found dead 1996.

There is disagreement between the survivors and Messham because whilst abuse was rife in the home, when it came to outsiders, some boys sold themselves for sex. Seems more like the situation described by Michael on Sky News.
The real story is not rape, probably not paedophile rings. Seems more like gay men with a liking for teenage boys. The boys were of course under 18 and could not legally consent. How much younger is not clear, but they were probably not forced. It has to be remembered they were groomed in the home. No wonder they wanted the legal age reduced.
The real story is gay men in power taking advantage of poor youngsters in care, leaving themselves open to blackmail, policy influence and being a national security risk.

I've come across a twitter a/c from a lady who claims she was abused by her father, trafficked by Savile, taken to Jersey where she witnessed murder. She claims she was subjected to SRA by Savile and 'X' in Scotland. She claims she was used for child porn with a young club DJ. She claims she was used as a prostitute by the 90s club/BBC Radio 1 DJs. She has reported the matter recently to police. The victims are connecting with each other and setting up blogs as a result of this.
