If you are concerned about rightly dividing the word of God, then you are involved with a subject biblical scholars call hermeneutics. According to Dr. A. Berkley Mickelsen, hermeneutics “designates both the science and art of interpretation. The Greek verb hermeneuo means ‘to interpret or explain.’ The Greek noun hermeneia means ‘interpretation.’ In both the Greek counterpart and the contemporary technical term, interpretation has to do with meaning” (A.B. Mickelsen, Interpreting the Bible, page 3).
THE WRITING ON THE WALL: THE HIDDEN 4TH LETTER AND THE 2022 RAPTURE “GATE” PSALM SIGN?
“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” (Matthew 24:3).
“When shall these things be?” is a question that deals not only with the subject of dating the return of Christ, but with how those prophesied events will lay out in sequence, as well. What happens first, second, third, etc.?
If we gain a basic understanding of the sequence of events, many difficult passages become clear and lay out in their proper order. Sometimes a scripture passage will not deal specifically with a prophetic event, but will simply add highlights of otherwise hidden meaning through what we may call “implication.” Such is the case with Psalm 122.
THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON AND THE PROPHETIC PSALMS: DOES PSALM 122 SIGNAL THE RAPTURE IN 2022?
In the previous study in this ongoing chapter-by-chapter study of the book of Revelation, we continued our trek through chapter 19 with the second commentary on this chapter. Here, we shall continue that trek through chapter 19 with the third installment. Previously, we observed that Jesus Christ is “KING OF KINGS.” He has complete authority over every nation. After all, the entire world, including man, was created by him – and therefore, belongs to him. He deserves to wear every crown, occupy every throne, and exercise complete rule in every country. Already, his laws are enforced in all nations, even those who do not recognize his authorship. The nation that demands, “Thou shall not kill,” and yet, refuses to recognize that Jesus Christ is the author of that law, is an odd anomaly of life.
DATE APPEARS IN PSALMS: IS IT BY DIVINE DESIGN?
Back in the 1980s, the late J.R. Church discovered that the psalms seem to have been encoded with allusions to modern events that happened in the specific year according to the number of the psalm. The Psalms also seem to tell the story of the Jews and their return to the Promised land in this century. Going back through modern history, one can see that this is the case. The Psalms are positioned as the 19th book in our Bible. Book 19, chapter 48 tells the story of Israel’s re-birth in 1948. Continue reading “DATE APPEARS IN PSALMS: IS IT BY DIVINE DESIGN?”
