HEALING ON THE SABBATH: A PROPHECY OF THE COMING MILLENNIAL REIGN

In the previous installment in the book of John, we covered chapter 4 and the woman at the well. We discovered that the two days that Jesus spent in Samaria where he encountered this woman and revealed the Gospel message to the Gentile Samaritans is a picture of the passing of the two millennia of the Church Age since Jesus ascended back to Heaven after his crucifixion. During these two millennia, the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been shined forth to the Gentile nations of the earth. We are now at the end of those two millennia and we now await the rapture of the Church, followed by the judgment of the seven-year Tribulation period, after which the 1,000-year millennial reign of Christ will begin. Moving forward into chapter 5, we find that there are many facets to John’s fifth chapter that deserve our attention.

By now, many of you may be aware that there is a very dangerous situation developing at the La Palma Island in Western Africa at the current moment. This developing situation has been ongoing for over a week as of the time I’m writing this particular prophecy alert on September 19, 2021.

If you have been following this series, I have been going through various comments that people have left on a certain series of videos that I had posted on my youtube channel regarding the controversy over whether or not it’s possible that one can lose their salvation for any reason once it has been truly received and possessed. As I’ve pointed out in the previous articles in this series, the scriptures that many point to that, in their mind, make the case that it can be lost, are often cherry-picked and taken out of their intended context in a gluttonous gorge of misinterpretation – a gorge so massive that it’s surprising that many people aren’t admitted to the hospital for their ingorgement of cherry picking. Some could even make a nice thick, beastly, monstrous, gargantuan, gaseous cherry cake.

THE REPHAIM: THE LEGENDARY GIANTS

They are the aristocracy of the damned – and seem to be a prophetic archetype of Ezekiel’s “Gog.”  In the Old Testament, there are many references to a mysterious race known in the ancient past as the “Rephaim.”  An examination of several scriptural references reveals some amazing things, and significantly adds to the understanding of prophecy.  Ancient writings from the Middle East, as well as the Bible itself, have long identified them as inhabitants of the underworld.  They are described as the departed spirits of the dead.  Furthermore, though they may be dissipated in strength in their present state, they appear to be conscious and in possession of knowledge about their existing condition.  They are also the recipients of some of God’s most severe judgments.  But defining them is not as simple as it may first appear, because there are also numerous references to living members of the Rephaim.  Perhaps the most ancient mention of this strange “people” is found in Job 26, where Job contributes to a discussion about the wicked dead …

There is perhaps no greater mystery to mankind than the thought of what exactly happens to us after we breathe our last breath and travel beyond death’s door. How do you live with dying? How do you cope with a loved one’s declining years?
