In what is being described as an exceedingly rare incident, diver Michael Packard, age 56, ended up in a hospital bed in Cape Cod hospital with some soft tissue damage (a few reports claim that he suffered one broken leg) after being gulped into the mouth of a giant humpback whale. Mr. Packard described the incident, revealing that he was in the whale’s mouth for 30-40 seconds.
Initially, Packard thought he was inside a great white shark, but he couldn’t feel any teeth and he hadn’t suffered any obvious wounds. It quickly dawned on him that he had been swallowed by a whale. Mr. Packard made it clear that he thought he was going to die …
“I was completely inside; it was completely black,” Packard said. “I thought to myself, ‘there’s no way I’m getting out of here. I’m done, I’m dead.’ All I could think of was my boys — they’re 12 and 15 years old.”
Suddenly, the whale spat him out of his mouth and Mr. Packard went sailing up into the air and landed back into the water. A truly frightening ordeal to be sure.
As many are aware, scripture records the story of the prophet Jonah getting swallowed by a giant whale. The biblical account of Jonah and the whale is one of those stories that the average person has a hard time believing. The tiny book of Jonah has just four chapters and 48 verses, but it has been ridiculed more than any other Bible story. The world scoffs at the thought of a whale swallowing a man whole, carrying him around the Mediterranean Sea for three days and then spitting him up on the seashore for the next leg of his missionary journey.
But for the Bible believing Christian, we know that all things are possible. Only God could have come up with this wild scenario for Nineveh’s redemption. Jonah was a prophet who was sent by God to the town of Nineveh to preach to the people there and tell them to repent and turn to God. Nineveh was the evil capital city of the mighty Gentile Empire.
Jonah was really confused by God’s request to go to Nineveh. Who ever heard of sending a Jewish prophet to preach the message of impending judgment to a wicked, Gentile nation like Assyria? He expected a violent death at the hands of the Ninevites. It is probably no wonder that he ran like a scared rabbit.
Like most biblical events, there is more to the story of Jonah than meets the eye. Jonah was a far greater prophet than most Christians realize. We tend to view him as a rebellious man who tried to run from God, but there is more to this story than you might see in a cursory reading of this book. It is possible that Jonah was trained personally by the prophet Elisha – so this was a man who knew the scriptures well.
Most of us are aware that Jonah was a type of Christ, but we may be underestimating by just how much he was a type of Christ …
“For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth” (Matthew 12:40).
It is believed by some that when Jonah was thrown overboard by his sailing companions, he drowned in the Mediterranean Sea. He was picked up by a huge fish, possibly a sperm whale (which are known to swallow porpoises whole), so the physical possibility of this miracle is very real indeed. Some say that just as the body of Jesus lay dead in the grave for three days, so did the body of Jonah.
Just as Jesus gave his life willingly, Jonah agreed that the sailors would be best served by casting him overboard to die in the storm. Yes, it seems that we have another biblical resurrection here. While the body of Christ was lying in the Garden Tomb, his soul/spirit was in Sheol, preaching to the spirits in prison. In comparison, Jonah may have experienced the same trip to Hell firsthand. Scripture seems to indicate that Jonah died and his soul was transported to Sheol, the Old Testament version of Hell, located deep in the center of the earth …
“Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish’s belly, And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice. For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me. Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple. The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head. I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God” (Jonah 2:1-6).
With this in mind, it then becomes not so much of a wonder that Jonah was so fired up to preach the Gospel to the Ninevites when he returned. What did Jonah see while he was in Sheol that got him so fired up and excited about making that fearful trip to Nineveh that he initially wanted no part of?
Just as Jesus continued his ministry after his resurrection and gave birth to Christianity, Jonah returned from the dead to orchestrate one of the greatest revivals in ancient history. He converted the entire city of Nineveh and God spared them from judgment. Yes, it appears obvious that in many ways, Jonah was a type or foreshadow of Christ.
Ninevah was the famous capital of ancient Assyria. Previous cities like Asshur and Calah were ancient capitals of Assyria, but Ninevah became most famous in the seventh century BC. when King Sennacherib (705-681 BC) made Ninevah his capital. The empire expanded and became prosperous.
The Assyrian empire became extremely great and powerful with Ninevah as its center, all the way until its final destruction by the Chaldeans and the Medes. Nineveh was located in a very desirable place, east of the Tigris River in a very fertile plain. The ruins of Nineveh are located on the outskirts of what is today the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, on the east bank of the Tigris River. Nineveh was also famous in the ancient world because it was a center for the worship of Ishtar (Astarte) the fertility goddess. The size of Nineveh is revealed in the Bible, in Jonah 3:3 and 4:11 (a 3 days journey in breadth with over 120,000 people). The classical writers describe Nineveh as being over 60 miles wide. The city of Nineveh is described in Genesis 10:11 as having been founded by Nimrod, the hunter who built the tower of Babel and led the world into a rebellion against God. The Old Testament also mentions Nineveh in relation to the prophet Jonah who preached judgment against this city, and afterward the city repented and was temporarily spared destruction from God. The prophet Nahum predicted Nineveh’s eventual destruction, which came in 612 BC, and the famous city was never rebuilt.
In the New Testament Jesus commended the inhabitants of Nineveh for repenting at the preaching of Jonah, while condemning the Jewish leaders for resisting His own message. The city was engaged in extreme wickedness. It was known Jonah did not want to go to the Ninevites, so he ran away from God and got on a ship. God brought a storm (Jonah 1:4–16) and the ship was nearly destroyed. Jonah realized it was his fault, so he asked the sailors to throw him overboard, and they did. Once Jonah was sent overboard, the storm dissipated. Then, a giant fish (often assumed to have been a whale) swallowed Jonah and he was in the belly of the fish for three days and nights, at which time the fish spewed Jonah onto the shore near Nineveh, likely in full view of the Ninevites (Jonah 1:17; 2:10).
After Jonah appeared in Nineveh, he preached to the people there and they all, including the king, repented and believed in God. This miraculous conversion, alongside the fantastic story of Jonah’s experience with the giant fish, or whale, is the reason why people find the book of Jonah difficult to believe. However, a closer examination of history, of the words of Jesus in reference to Jonah’s story, and of God’s character, shows that Jonah’s story is not so far-fetched as many people think.
History presents a fascinating detail about the Ninevites. They worshipped a god called Dagon, and Dagon was a fish god. He was often depicted as a man wearing a fish, or as a half-man, half-fish creature. Dagon was also worshipped by other ancient people, including the Philistines (Judges 16:23–24; 1 Samuel 5:1–7; 1 Chronicles 10:8–12). We know that the Ninevites worshipped Dagon because of archeological finds—images depicting Dagon found in the remains of their palaces and temples. With this in mind, if the Ninevites saw a man being spewed out of the mouth of a giant fish, it is plausible that they would have believed him to have divine origins, and would have been persuaded to listen to anything he had to say, and to obey his words, which is exactly what the Bible tells us happened (Jonah 3).
An ancient historian by the name of Berosus adds even more validity to Jonah’s story. He tells the tale of Oannes, a mythical fish-man who came from the sea and gave the people wisdom. Scholars relate this story to the Babylonian water-god Ea, or Enki, but Berosus used the name “Oannes” which would have been the Assyrian / Ninevite translation of the Greek name “Ioannes” which the Hebrews translated as “Jonah.”
These historical details are provocative. We must add to them Jesus’ words. “For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here” (Matthew 12:40–41; Luke 11:29–30, 32). Jonah was a prophet in that he spoke truth to the Ninevites, but Jesus treated the details of Jonah’s story as a prophecy pointing to his own death, burial, and resurrection. Futhermore, speaking of the unbelieving Jews, Jesus said that “no sign will be given to [this evil generation] except the sign of Jonah” (Matthew 12:39; Matthew 16:4; Luke 11:29). Apparently, Jesus believed the story of Jonah to be true.
This brings us to God’s character. We know that Jesus is God (John 1:1–3; John 8:58), and that God does not lie. There is no indication from the text of Jonah’s book, nor from the words of Jesus, that the story of Jonah was a fairy-tale or fable. Clearly, Jonah’s survival in the belly of the fish, and the repentance of the Ninevites were miracles. Anyone who believes the story of Jesus’ resurrection, and has experienced personal repentance and redemption, will acknowledge that these too are miracles. As such, we should have no problem admitting that indeed, Jonah was swallowed by a whale (or great marine animal of some kind).
With this background story of Jonah and the city to which he was being sent to preach repentance to the people, we should now take note of some hair-raising details of Michael Packard and his ordeal of being sucked into the mouth of the humpback whale at Provincetown, Cape Cod.
Credit goes to commenter “Pastor Rich” and one other anonymous commenter at the Unsealed website for the observation of a few of the following peculiarities of this story. Then, I would like to add a few of my own in conjunction with theirs to paint a broad picture of what I think the Lord is trying to tell us.
First, take note of what date this incident occurred on – June 11, 2021. The story of Jonah is recalled by Jesus in chapter 11 of the book of Luke. Mr. Packard told the press that he was stuck in the mouth of the whale for 30-40 seconds. In chapter 11 of Luke, it is verses 30-40 that Jesus recalls the story of Jonah and excoriates the Pharisees for their unbelief, using the Jonah recall as the launching base for his excoriation …
“For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation. The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light. The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light. And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat. And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner. And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness. Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also? (Luke 11:30-40).
Given that Nineveh was going to be judged for its idolatry and being the capital city of the Assyrian Empire that was founded by Nimrod, who was the very one responsible for humanity’s rebellion at the Tower of Babel, it is most interesting that we should see this particular sign now. Especially since it is a sign which is mimicking the Jonah/Nineveh story as the MYSTERY BABYLON system is now showing the obvious signs of its rise as we explored in a previous article here. We should also take note that the propagators of the currently emerging New World Order MYSTERY BABYLON system are said to be the descendants of those same Jewish Pharisees that Jesus excoriated for their unbelief, while using the story of Jonah as the backdrop of his excoriation of them. As already pointed out in that posting, MYSTERY BABYLON comes down to the present (and yet future of the Tribulation Period) from the Tower of Babel. And further still, in light of all this, we should find it very prophetically interesting that Jonah decided to flee from the Lord’s command by boarding a ship to Tarshish …
“Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me. But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord” (Jonah 1:1-3).
As explored in a previous posting, Tarshish has a very strong connection to the emerging New World Order Mystery Babylon system. The bottom line of all of this is that there seems to be a prophetic connection between this Cape Cod whale story, Jonah’s preaching to Nineveh and Nineveh’s association with the tower of Babel through Nimrod.
The city’s idol worship of the goddess is reflective of what was happening at the Tower of Babel itself. The threat of judgment on both locations cannot be a coincidence.
Second, let’s take note of two things – the fact that Mr. Packard was certain that he was going to die and that Mr. Packard is/was 56 years old when this incident occurred. In the story of Jonah being swallowed by the whale, we read in verses 5-6 in chapter 2 of the book of Jonah the fact that Jonah thought he was going to die …
“The waters compassed me about [to take my life, ESV], even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head. I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God” (Jonah 2:5-6).
Here, we seem to see a peculiar correlation between Mr. Packard’s age and the very verse numbers that describe Jonah’s fear that he was going to die (based on the text, some would say that he actually did die) … just as Mr. Packard feared that he was going to die.
Third, take note of where and in what year this incident occurred. The location in which this incident occurred is quite telling. It occurred off Provincetown, at the tip of Cape Cod. This is where it will be necessary to take particular note of Jesus’ prophecy of the vineyard found in Matthew 21:33-43 and its connection to America as being the likely fulfillment of that prophecy. It is in America’s fulfillment of that prophecy where we can see God’s prophetic purpose for America (see a previous article titled AMERICA AND A FOUR DIMENSIONAL TRIP THROUGH THE TABERNACLE OF MOSES). It was at the tip of Cape Cod’s Provincetown where the Pilgrims first landed that would set the tone for the theme of America and seal the nation’s purpose as a gospel light to the world from that time forward to the present. Looking at a map of Cape Cod starting at the tip of Provincetown where the Pilgrims first landed, if one follows it around to Plymouth, the peninsula forms the letter beit, which carries the spiritual meaning of a house. Notice the open side of this geographical letter beit is on the north side (see map below). The island discovered off the coast had vines, and thus was named “Martha’s Vineyard.” God chose this area, a vineyard, to start building his house. The prophecy of the transplanted vineyard (America) in Matthew 21: 33-43 is seen here. We now have a nation called America that has been a last days lighthouse to the world for the gospel message of salvation through Christ. A modern-day tabernacle that God has raised up for a special purpose that no other nation shares. There is nowhere that this transplanting of the vineyard from Israel to the Gentiles prophecy can be seen any more dramatically than in America and it’s peculiar history and continuing present-day purpose … right on down to it’s very geography.

It is most interesting that the incident of Mr. Packard’s ordeal of being gulped into the mouth of a whale should have occurred here given not only the fact that is where the Pilgrims first landed in the genesis fulfillment of the Matthew 21 prophecy, but also for the fact that the name “Provincetown” itself is very telling. It is similar in pronunciation with Providence, which means “divine guidance or care.” In the story of Jonah being swallowed by the whale, we see the overall purpose as to why God sent the whale to swallow him to begin with. The entire incident was about him being sent to a city to warn its inhabitants to repent. The entire underlying foundational purpose of the incident is about repentance. In this case, the inhabitants of Nineveh repented and turned to the God of the Bible and were temporarily spared from destruction. The purpose that God had, and still has, for America’s creation and continued existence is to declare to the world the message of repentance (see here). More specifically, the gospel message of repentance is defined as turning from one’s unbelief toward Jesus Christ to belief and personally receiving him for the salvation of the soul. This is what the Bible’s message of repentance is all about.
How interesting it is that we should see the story of Mr. Packard’s ordeal occurring in such a prophetically significant location of a nation whose very purpose so closely aligns with the story and purpose of Jonah being swallowed by a whale. The very theme and Providentially assigned purpose for America is the preaching of repentance to the world. In line with that thought, it is here that I wish to point out something of additional noteworthiness concerning this story. When Jonah was sent to Nineveh to preach repentance, the city was given 40 days to repent. Interestingly, Mr. Packard has been involved in lobster diving as a career for 40 years. Could it be that the world has been given 40 days to repent before the rapture occurs and the judgment of the Tribulation Period commences?
Many Bible prophecy expositors have noted that there could be an unknown interval of time between the rapture and the start of the Tribulation Period. During that interval after the rapture, it is quite likely that pre-Tribulation chaotic conditions will start to descend upon the world. The Mr. Packard/whale incident occurred on June 11, 2020. Forty days from that date will put us at July 21, 2021. Could the July 21 date landed on be prophetically indicative of the year 2021? Interestingly enough, this incident occurred just one year after the arrival of the prophetically important year 2020, a year that indicates the arrival of the culmination of the all-important 400 year prophetic cycle for Vineyard America (see a previous article titled “AMERICA THE VINEYARD AND THE YEAR 2020: THE 400 YEAR PROPHETIC CYCLE.” An important mental note to be aware of is that the Hebrew calendar comes in months after the Gregorian Calendar. When 2021 arrived on the Gregorian Calendar, for months it will still be Hebrew year 5781 corresponding to the Gregorian year 2020. If the rapture does not occur on that day or before, is it possible that the world has been given 40 weeks instead of days? Or perhaps 40 months instead of 40 days?
An interesting fact concerning the 40 month model is that, moving forward 40 months from the date of the Michael Packard/whale incident, we arrive at the year 2024 in the month of October – just six months after the second Great American eclipse will have occurred, which will have formed an “X” over America in conjunction with the first Great American eclipse that occurred on August 21, 2017. Is the year 2024, then, the likely candidate for the judgment of the Tribulation Period to begin? If so, will the rapture have happened just prior to this eclipse? If so, how long before? It seems to me that the Michael Packard/whale sign pointing to the year 2024 using the 40 months model is an indication of judgment and not necessarily the rapture. The rapture could have happened a significant amount of time before the judgment of the Tribulation Period strikes if it is in 2024 based on that model.
The odds that the details of this incident lining up with the details of the Jonah story as a coincidence are probably not too good. Based on the prophetic details, I rather choose the idea that Divine Providence was at work here. Perhaps the number 40 correlation has to do with something else entirely. We shall see.
Also of note is the fact that a very peculiar prophetic sign of the coming rapture event was seen in the recent eclipse that occurred just fifteen days before the whale incident occurred should cause our prophetic spidey senses to peak (see BEAR RAPTURE PROPHECY ALERT UPDATE 6 titled “SERIOUS ESCALATION BETWEEN NATO AND RUSSIA IN THE BLACK SEA IN THE AFTERMATH OF A PROPHETIC LUNAR ECLIPSE in a previous article here).
One could well look at this peculiar whale occurrence at Cape Cod as a specific warning to America, but if it is a sign at all, it likely would include not just being a sign to and for America, but to the entire world as America is a key piece of the prophetic puzzle that signals the end of the Church Age given its prophetic purpose as a sort of lighthouse of spreading forth the gospel message of Christ to the world, not just to America itself.
There is another facet to this story that spiritually keen people should be aware of. Doubts have been surfacing among doctors and fellow fisherman concerning the truthfulness of Mr. Packard and his story. A doctor who works a the hospital where Mr. Packard was treated said that if Mr. Packard really had been swallowed by the whale and hurled toward the surface, he would have had more injuries – such as hearing loss due to the rapid change in pressure. Fellow lobster fishermen have also joined in with the doubtful sentiments and have found his story a bit too hard to believe (see here) …
“It’s a first-ever that this would happen,” the anonymous lobsterman, who has fished in the area for 44 years, told The Post. “For a guy to be in the middle of that giant school of fish corralled by a whale doesn’t make sense.”
But notice the element of doubt that comes along with this story. Ironically, nowhere in the story of Jonah being swallowed by the whale do we read of him being injured. God was sure to not let any harm come to Jonah being in the whale’s belley so that he would be able to perform his duty and warn the city to repent. Normally speaking, most everyone likely would have gotten seriously injured. But in the case of Jonah, serious injury did not occur. This fact in conjunction with the observable peculiarities of Mr. Packard’s story lining up so tightly with the Jonah story makes it even more believable that it not only happened, but that it was also a Providential sign from Heaven and is thus reason to believe Mr. Packard’s story. This being the case, the lack of normally expected injury should come as no surprise given the sign based nature of this occurrence.
The Three Josiahs
If you’re still not convinced, consider this – the name of Mr. Packard’s boat mate and driver was “Josiah Mayo.” This fact gets extremely interesting when one considers that the biblical narrative introduces us to an ancient king named King Josiah. He played an important role in the biblical historic narrative of ancient Israel. In Hebrew, the word “Josiah” means “Founded by God.” Let that one sink in a moment considering where this incident occurred.
In reading the story of Josiah, one will discover that he was the king of Judah from approximately 640 to 609 B.C. He held reign in Jerusalem as seen in 2 Kings 22–23 and 2 Chronicles 34–35. Josiah was the son of King Amon and the grandson of King Manasseh – both of them were wicked kings of Judah. Yet, Josiah was a godly king and known as one of the world’s youngest kings; he began his reign at age 8 after his father was assassinated. A highlight of Josiah’s reign was his rediscovery of the Law of the Lord. 2 Kings 22:2 lays it on us and introduces Josiah by saying …
“And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD and walked in all the way of David his father, and he did not turn aside to the right or to the left.” In the eighteenth year of his reign, he raised money to repair the temple, and during the repairs the high priest Hilkiah found the Book of the Law. When Hilkiah read it to Josiah, the king tore his clothes, a sign of mourning and repentance (verse 11).
King Josiah called for a time of national repentance. At 20 years old, he began purging Jerusalem and all of Judah of all the idolatry that had been taking place. Now, hold on. Did you just say “national repentance?” Indeed, I did. Here, we can observe a 2nd theme of repentance associated with this Cape Cod whale incident. In the story of King Josiah, the Law was read to the people of the land, and a covenant made between the people and the Lord …
“The king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people joined in the covenant” (2 Kings 23:3).
Many reforms followed. The temple was cleansed from all objects of pagan worship, and the idolatrous high places in the land were demolished. Josiah restored the observance of the Passover (2 Kings 23:2–23) and removed mediums and witches from the land. Second Kings 23:25 records …
“Before him there was no king like him, who turned to the LORD with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his might, according to all the Law of Moses, nor did any like him arise after him.”
God’s wrath would later come upon Judah due to the evil King Manasseh had done (2 Kings 23:25), but the judgment was delayed because of Josiah’s godly life and leadership (2 Kings 22:20). Josiah died in battle against the Egyptian Pharaoh Necho at Megiddo. King Josiah was buried in Jerusalem in his own tomb, and his son Jehoahaz took the role of king.
Josiah lived a life fully committed and obedient to God and was blessed for it. He properly responded to God’s Word. By the time he became king, the scriptures had long been neglected, and Josiah’s heart was smitten by the failure of his people to honor God’s Word. Josiah had Scripture read to the people and made a commitment to live by it …
“Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I have spoken . . . I also have heard you,’ declares the Lord” (2 Kings 22:19).
So, Josiah played an important role in ridding Judah of the idolatrous worship that was taking place amongst the kings and leaders of Judah, just as the ancient inhabitants of Nineveh were doing before Jonah preached his message of repentance after arriving ashore in the mouth of the whale! Again, it seems as though we have a prophetic connection between the idolatry of Nineveh and the Tower of Babel through Nimrod. As discussed in a previous post, we can now see the rise of the idolatrous New World Order MYSTERY BABYLON system (which is tightly woven to the ancient Tower of Babel) beginning to take place since the beginning of the year 2020.
Second of all, for those who are familiar with true American history, a man named “Josiah Nelson” figures prominently in America’s beginnings. The name of the first person to have shed his blood in the American Revolution was named “Josiah!” Thus, he personifies the American Revolution (more details of this in the video below).
How interesting it is that this incident would occur at the genesis location of the vineyard prophecy fulfillment while not only bearing the theme of the story of Jonah, but also bearing the name of Josiah!
Josiah Mayo And The End Of The Fig Tree Generation?
As mentioned above, Mr. Packard’s shipmate/boat driver’s last name was “Mayo.” Josiah Mayo. You may recall that earlier in this posting, I made the speculation that the number 40 that is peculiarly associated with this incident could be warning the world of either 40 days, 40 weeks or 40 months until the rapture occurs and the judgment of the Tribulation Period begins. The one “40” model that was mentioned but not discussed was the 40 weeks model/template. What if that peculiar 40 number that we see associated with this incident reminiscent of the Jonah story is giving us a Providential clue that the world has been given 40 weeks rather than 40 days or 40 months? When we count forward 40 weeks from the date of this incident (June 11), we arrive at the month of March, 2022.
As you may recall, Jesus gave the parable of the fig tree as a sign of his Second Coming. In scripture, Israel is a sign of the fig tree. When the disciples asked him what the sign of his coming would be, he gave them a series of signs, but then moved into the fig tree sign. He said …
“Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled” (Matthew 24:32-34).
According to many prophecy and biblical expositors, Psalm 90:10 gives us the best explanation or answer for the length of a biblical generation. It is 70-80 years in length. Israel, the fig tree, was prophetically reborn and reestablished in the year 1948/1949. Many only cite the year of 1948 as being the year that reestablishment occurred (which is, of course, correct), but one thing we should also be looking at prophetically in deciphering times and seasons is the fact that on 11 May 1949, the General Assembly by the requisite two-thirds majority of its then 58 members approved the application to admit Israel to the UN by United Nations General Assembly Resolution 273. Counting forward 80 years from that pivotal and crucial date will put us at the year 2028/2029. If you then subtract seven years for the length of the Tribulation Period, you will arrive at the year of 2021/2022. We know that the rapture of the true Church will occur before the seven years of the Tribulation begins. Now, take another look at the last name of the boat operator who was with Mr. Packard when this incident occurred. His last name is “Mayo.” Could the Lord be giving us a clue as to what month to watch out for regarding the rapture? Could it be the month of May in the year 2022? Is this also indicative of the actual month of the start of Christ’s government on Earth at his Second Coming? We do know that it was the month of May on the day of the 14th when Israel’s statehood occurred in 1948. Interestingly, the book of Jonah is comprised of a total of just 48 verses – corresponding to that all-important prophetic year of 1948.
Of course, counting forward 40 weeks from the date of the incident puts us at the month of March, so it could very well be that Josiah’s last name may actually be telling us of the month of the start of the fig tree generation, while the 40 weeks arrival time at the month of March may be indicative of the rapture – with the final seven years of the fig tree generation beginning just two months later in “May,” as in “Josiah Mayo.” What are the odds that The United States of America, the prophetic vineyard of Matthew 21, would arrive at the conclusion of the important 400 year prophetic cycle in roughly the same time period as the nearing of the ending of Jesus’ fig tree generation? An interesting number to observe in the Jonah story is that it is estimated by many scholars that Jonah had to travel approximately 400 miles from the area where he was spit out of the whale to the city of Nineveh. The site of ancient Nineveh is located in the suburbs of Mosul, Iraq. It is located just beside the Tigris River. So, again, from what can be observed on a map, it appears that Jonah had over 400 miles to travel to get to the spot where he was to go throughout the city and preach. While 400 miles may be a rough estimation, it is still interesting that the number 400 is the general consensus of mileage as it relates to the prophetic cycle of 400 for Vineyard America. While not speculating on an exact date, it appears that we are quickly approaching the end of the road for the Church Age.
As a final thought in line with the number 40 associated with this Cape Cod whale incident, we should find it very interesting that Israel is considering a 4th lock-down of its population due to the “fears” of a new Covid strain. The lock-down appears to be ready for implementation on the Feast of Trumpets, which will be in September – of which many say holds a picture of the rapture of the Church. The number 4 is associated with the letter dalet in the Hebrew alphabet. The numeric value of the letter dalet is the number 4.
The pictogram or symbol behind the shape of the letter dalet is a doorpost or lintel. The word for “door” in Hebrew is “delet,” or door. The shape of the dalet is like that of a door with it’s lintel spreading right and left, and it’s doorpost reaching up and down.” So, the idea in view with this fourth letter of the Hebrew alphabet is clear. It is a door or gate.
Not just an entrance way, but a barrier that can be opened and must be opened in order to enter. When one opens a door or gate, you pass through what was a barrier. You leave one area and you “cross over” and enter another area. How magnificent it is, then, to look at Revelation 4 (the number of the dalet) and see in verse 1 the picture of the rapture of all those who are born again in Christ into Heaven as we leave this world behind and escape God’s judgment upon an unbelieving world …
“After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. …” (Revelation 4:1).
It is eschatologically sound that the Apostle John’s catching up through the door in Revelation 4:1 is a picture of the rapture occurring after the Church Age (the Age of Grace) has ended in Revelation 3. Further still, the name of this so-called “new variant of Covid” is being called the “Delta” strain. Delta is the 4th letter of the Greek alphabet. It is the Greek language in which the New Testament was originally written. The Bible speaks of the Greek as representative of the Gospel message coming to the Gentiles …
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek” (Romans 1:16).
It was to the Gentiles that the revelation of the rapture was first revealed through the Apostle Paul. Further still, as Lynn Melvin has written on her blog site, the shape of the letter Delta in the Greek alphabet is a triangle.
“We have been subjected to videos of (not in order of occurrence): flying triangular pyramid UFOs–oops, I mean UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon); the Pope performing a ceremony at a pyramid/ziggurat; grand parades including the BET awards all with an Egyptian theme.
The pyramid is central to the Illuminati Luciferian scheme. As those who are in Christ near the exit of the Resurrection/Rapture, it is to be expected that we would see this ramping up of signaling in the Satanic realm. The world is Egypt and those who are in Christ will be delivered out from it!“
Further still, Israel seems to be planning the 4th (4=door – Revelation 4:1) lock-down 4 years after the Revelation 12 sign occurred in the month of September (Feast of Trumpets).
As the children of Israel were stuck between Pharaoh’s approaching army and the Red Sea on the other side, God supernaturally delivered them from trouble. So too that, with the emerging Egypt theme that we see occurring today, Pharaoh’s army (the New World Order and its death jab that foreshadows the mark of the beast system) is closing in us today … and those who are in Christ i.e. those who have personally received Christ) will be delivered supernaturally via the rapture. This is not to say that the rapture will absolutely positively occur this September, but the signs are getting more and more obvious with each passing month that it will be soon. If nothing else, these signs are pointing us to the lateness of the hour if not the year of the Church’s departure and the start of the world’s judgment.
For all intents and purposes, it appears that the world may have just been given a Divine wake-up call from Heaven in the form of a whale gulping in a man who was diving for lobsters in a very prophetically peculiar location. The Lord being sovereign over all, it is no accident that this whale incident, so closely connected to the number 40, garnered national attention and made its way into the major media. Perhaps it is time that the world take heed of the message of repentance before it is too late. All the signs indicate that the current age is fast coming to a close and will end in seven years of judgment. The only ones who are promised a miraculous escape from it and permitted to enter the next phase of Earth’s existence are those who have, like the recipients of Jonah’s message, repented. The question now is … “What will you do with Jesus?” Upon your response to this question hinges your eternal soul. So, what does one have to do to be a part of this great escape? Keep reading below.
GOD’S REQUIREMENT FOR YOUR INCLUSION IN THE RAPTURE AND ESCAPE FROM THE COMING WRATH
The demonstrably divinely inspired text that we call the Bible promises a coming horrendous seven-year Tribulation period of judgment upon Earth for all of mankind, no matter what your religion, belief or creed is, and even to those who don’t believe anything spiritual at all. We can now clearly see the signs of this approaching nightmare. However, as we’ve already seen, this same divinely inspired text that we call the Bible promises a dramatic escape from off the face of the earth before this horrendous time of judgment only to a certain category of people.
Put simply, an event is coming that will be so stupendous that it strains the mind to contemplate such an event happening. It is an event that will see millions upon millions of people across the globe suddenly disappear without warning. The millions of disappeared will have literally ascended into Heaven itself after instantaneously receiving a new glorified body fit for Heaven. A body that will be able to withstand the atmosphere and glory of Heaven. This event is known as the “Rapture.” But the promise of escape is only to those who are “born again” in Christ. This is why it is crucial to understand what Christ meant when he declared in no uncertain terms that only those who are “born again” in him will enter the Kingdom of God. For the explanation of this, keep reading below.
In order to accept the offer of God’s grace and his salvation, you must take the crucial three steps of …
1. Agreeing – A belief and agreeing with God in all that he says in his word, the Bible, about the fact that you are separated from God, as every man and woman on the face of the earth are before accepting his salvation. The Bible reveals that all are separated from him in a spiritual state of death, or said another way that the Bible reveals it, in a state of sin, that will result in damnation in the afterlife. Agreeing with God in your heart that you are in need of his salvation. The Bible reveals that God looks upon the heart of a man or woman, and thus, responds accordingly to the person who comes to him for salvation in recognition of his inability to save himself. The Bible makes these facts very clear – “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23). The Bible describes these three kinds of death:
- physical death (the state experienced when life leaves our bodies).
- spiritual death (spiritual separation from God caused by our state of spiritual death inherited from the first man Adam – the state of sin that results in our daily outward acts of sin, whether deliberate or not, whether omissive or not; and finally …
- the second death (the fixed state entered into by the individual who dies physically while he or she is dead spiritually). This state is entered into after the death of the body which results in punishment in the afterlife until the event of the Great White Throne Judgment occurs wherein the damned are resurrected from Hades, or Hell, and are judged according to their works and finally destroyed and cease to exist after being cast into the Lake of Fire. Revelation 14 refers to this tragic end of the unsaved as the “Second Death” (verse 14). It is this state of suffering entered into after physical death and then final destruction at the Great White Throne Judgment in particular which is the horrible result of receiving the wages of sin (unforgiven due to unbelief and rejection of Christ). The Lord Jesus Christ frequently described such a death as being irrevocable in a destiny which he called Hell. He described Hell as a literal place of judgment (Matthew 13:42); a place of everlasting fire (Matthew 18:8); a place of torment (Luke 16:24,28); a place of weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 13:50); a place of remorse (Mark 9:44-48); of bitter memory (Luke 16:25), and a place originally prepared for the Devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41). In fact, Jesus more often warned about Hell than he spoke about Heaven.
It is not God’s will or desire that any person should be consigned to perish in Hell (2 Peter 3:9), but rather that all should come to repentance of unbelief toward him and believe on him for the salvation of the individual’s soul. But God’s justice requires that the “soul who sins” (remains in it’s state of death or state of sin) is the one who will die a second time after a long period of torment (Ezekiel 18:4). So, agree with God, admitting that you are unable to save yourself and in a state of sin under God’s just condemnation for that sin and that you are in need of his salvation.
2. Believing – Then, believe that God does not want you to perish eternally in the torment of Hell because of your sin. Believe that God loves you so much that he provided a way whereby he could still be a just, holy and righteous God, and yet pardon you. Believe that God did not just overlook sin, but that he sent his only begotten son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to provide salvation by personally paying the penalty for sin. Believe that Jesus Christ, whose life, death, burial and resurrection is the best-attested fact of antiquity, did come to earth to live, die, rise again and ascend to Heaven in order to provide justification and salvation for all who trust him. Believe that he, and he alone, can save you because he has fully satisfied the just demands of God. Believe that you can’t become righteous in God’s sight by your own effort. Believe that he wants to save you and that he will save you. The Bible provides a solid basis for such belief …
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:16-17).
“But God demonstrates his love toward us in this: while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).
God presented him (Jesus Christ) as a sacrifice of atonement through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished – he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies the man or woman who has faith in Jesus (Romans 3:25-26).
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures … ” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
“Jesus answered, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out [drive away]” (John 6:37).
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).
3. Calling – It is not enough to agree with God, admit your need, and believe that Christ can and will save you. You must act upon those facts. God’s requirement is that you repent of your unbelief toward him and actively call upon him for the salvation of your soul based on the fact that you cannot save yourself. It is unbelief in particular that damns the soul to its horrible fate …
“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18).
You must be willing to completely turn from your own efforts to save yourself or from any other hope. You must come to Christ, calling upon him for salvation and counting on the fact that he will do what he has promised. This means simply taking the gift of pardon and eternal life which he offers. Merely believing about Jesus Christ without coming to him makes as much sense and is as effective as believing that a medication can successfully treat a fatal disease, but failing to take it. Yet again, the Bible emphatically and authoritatively provides the basis for such statements.
The word translated “believe” here means to “rest one’s entire weight and trust on the object or person in which the belief is placed.” It requires action in keeping with the intellectual assent of that belief.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).
” … but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
The logical question you may be asking at this point is: “how do I come to Christ and call upon him?” The answer is that “calling upon the Lord” is just another term for praying, or talking to God. To talk to God is not a complicated process, dependent upon some special rituals. God has invited people to approach him through his Son in simple, straightforward terms. In fact, Jesus approved of the dishonest, despised tax collector who simply prayed, “God be merciful to me, a sinner.” While the exact words of your prayer to God are not of vital importance (since God sees and knows the attitude of your heart), the following is the kind of prayer that you could pray in calling upon God for salvation …
“Dear Lord Jesus: I realize that I need you. I admit that I have sinned and that I deserve your just, eternal punishment for that sin. But I am sorry for my sin and I am turning to you and asking for forgiveness. I believe that you died and rose again to pay sin’s penalty on my behalf. I come to you and open my heart to you. I ask you to come into my life, forgive me for all of my sin and make me your child. I invite you to take control of my life and to cause me to be the kind of person you would have me to be. I thank you for doing this because you have promised that whosoever calls upon you, as I am doing now, shall be saved. I pray this in the name of your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.”
If this prayer expresses the desire of your heart, I urge you to sincerely and genuinely express it to God as your prayer. The Bible makes clear that when we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ in our heart, God forgives our sins and counts us righteous, and that when we openly confess with our mouth what we have done in our heart, God gives us assurance of that salvation (Romans 10:9-10).
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again” (John 3:3-7).

Brother Steve fletcher has done a series on this and Tish B’Av between 17-20 July.
Halturnerradioshow.com just posted the utter chaos in south Africa.
The 2021 NATO exercise in the black sea has concluded, yet they are still provoking the bear.
Brother the both of you have been the only voices presenting this.
You do speak well of 40.
Forty days, weeks, months for the world to repent.
Thank you for the analysis of the sighs of the time.

Since posting the piece, I have updated it just a few minutes ago because the thought occurred to me that, if the rapture does not occur on that day or before based on the 40 day model, is it possible that the world has been given 40 weeks instead of days?
But I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it is the 40 day model given the chaos now erupting in South Africa as of today as you have pointed out from Hal Turner’s site.
Getting interesting for sure.

You’re probably right something big happen in 40 days, maybe cyber polygon things get rolling, and 40 months in 2024. On the 2024 months timeline, it would make sense if that’s the first year of the tribulation and by 2030 the world will “own nothing and be happy.” All idols gone, by that point there will be no things of this world to love except for the parasites briefly until they’re in hell. I have a strong sense Christ touches down in 2030 for many reasons, also that part of the rapture is saving those of us strong enough to resist being poisoned, defiling the temple of God, from having to go through that. There’s a “movie” coming out about covid-23 when they’ll be dragging people off to the camps, so it makes sense that the rapture would occur in dramatic fashion as that kind of thing is really getting common. By 2023, there’s also plenty of time for US judgment, we’re not getting out of here easy, and after the coming year of dark winter and big inflation, maybe late 2022/early 2023 is when they go Zimbabwe on the global dollar system and WW3 takes the whole world down with us. Perfect time for the antichrist to pop up, possibly soon after Putin, Erdogan, and the Ayatollahs decide attacking Israel from the North is a great idea and it doesn’t go as planned for them. The period between 2023 rapture and 2024 NWO may be the undefined time between the 7 year treaty being signed and the antichrist fully taking over.

Greetings ETDD,
I was intrigued by this article , as I am by many of yours, and I wanted to throw out some thoughts for you to ponder.
As you noted, you were wondering about a 40 day period, obviously past, in which nothing has occurred. You then mentioned the 40 month period putting us into 2024 and it’s relation to GASE2.0 which occurs that same year. You also brought up 40 weeks, which would put us into March of 2022. It is this weeks time period I was interested in. So, I would like you to consider it in light of some thoughts I had in regards to the Revelation 12 sign.
I view the “sign” as Gods time marker. It is indisputable. It is a scientific fact. So, considering that the number 12 is indicative of government in the bible, i.e. 12 tribes of Israel, 12 disciples, 24 elders (2×12), the remnant of 144,000, we see that this sign is referenced in the 12th chapter of the book of Revelations. We also see that there are 12 stars in her crown. So, is a logical assessment that perhaps God is telling us there are 12 more years to go until his government comes to earth? If this be the case then that would put the end of the tribulation at 2029. I think that this year also goes along with the thinking of 2000 years counting from Christ’s anointing instead of the crucifixion. So now we back up 7 years and that puts us at 2022. If the Tribulation is starting in the fall of 2022 then we need to be gone before then. Adding the theory of a gap between the Rapture and the start of the Tribulation and then considering the 40 week period of time from the Whale Incident puts us at a possible March 2022 Rapture.
So now I’m curious as to what you think.

Hi JD. I actually had been thinking of that very issue since I first published this posting. I did a bit more digging into the story of Mr. Packard and his whale ordeal and discovered something I think you may find interesting in conjunction with the 40 weeks speculation. I decided to add another section to the article just now titled “The Three Josiahs.” So, you can actually scroll back up into the article and read that new section where I have dealt with the seeming prophetic peculiarity of the 40 weeks model.
What you have stated concerning the Revelation 12 sign that occurred in 2017 possibly giving us a time frame of 12 more years until his government comes to earth in the Second Coming event lines up fantastically with the 40 weeks model of this Cape Cod whale incident. Further, we also must remember that, regarding the fig tree generation, it was on 11 May 1949, that the General Assembly by the requisite two-thirds majority of its then 58 members approved the application to admit Israel to the UN by United Nations General Assembly Resolution 273. This would fit square and smack dab into the 2029 12-year time pinpoint of what you have observed regarding the possible 12-year time frame of the Revelation 12 sign indicating the beginning of Christ’s rule of government on Earth in 2022. When we consider 1949 as a starting point for a fig tree generation countdown, it kinda fits more nicely than if we just consider 1948. It fits better with this Cape Cod 40 weeks model sign as well. Amazing.
Blessings.
